Ideal setting on canal.”

Host was friendly and welcoming with a glass of wine. Beautiful location on the canal. Dinner on recommendation at the local pancake restaurant was perfect. Room was spacious with sitting area. Breakfast in sunny room. Could not have been better.

Such a lovely stay. The owner is super friendly and helpful, with great tips about what to do and where to go. She ordered bikes to be delivered to the B&B which was a bonus.

Hotel quality in rural setting”

Super cute place in a small village. Very welcoming host. Nice looking room on a converted barn, with visible beams etc. Good bed and pillows. Very clean. Nice communal kitchen with free coffee/tea. Lovely breakfast with fresh bread, fresh juice, yoghurt, homemade jam, eggs made to my taste. Good garden. Highly recommended.
It was rather cold in the room, the radiators were turned off. I turned them on, but it took until the morning before the room was warm. Not a big issue.

Missed opportunity”

The surrounding was absolutely stunning. Too bad the host was somehow not happy with us from the start. That was clear in many ways. Also the B&B kitchen had a very poor choice of tea whereas we were staying in a tea garden 🤔. Also noise carries a long way in the house and room #5 is right next to the door where all pass through... Too bad, missed opportunity, especially for the 105 bucks I paid for the night...

A beautiful place to relax and an ideal base to visit the gardens of Appeltern”

The owners gave us a warm welcome to the bed and breakfast which is also a lovely Tea Garden/Cafe too. The freshly baked apple tart made daily was delicious. We appreciate the spacious lounge to sit in the evening and make a hot drink too. The local restaurant at Batenburg was fabulous. Perfect location for visiting the Gardens of Appeltern and also the surrounding rural area which was beautiful by the riverside. Thank you for a lovely stay.
