The old couple who run the kitchen for breakfast are awful and nasty ! I asked the oldy to fix an omelette she refused! Also the old ugly guy is disqualified to serve tourists. I didnt want to eat there anymore! Hotel is very far from everything. You cant walk. Only taxis. The hotel manager darko is good guy and helped me with some request. Unless the ugly couple from the kitchen will be gone from there im not coming back to that place ! Neither recommend.

Darko is a very professional manager and he helped me with issues i had in the hotel. Special thank to him. Staff at breakfast was terrible. I asked the old lady who works at the kitchen to make me omelette. She refused. Said there is some on the table. What a shame ! I couldn’t helped it to call her bad names and left the hotel before time. Bad staff is real problem in colombia. Also the old guy who works with her maybe her husband also a big co**. I wouldnt go back to that hotel as long this couple who took over the kitchen and breakfast will gone. And wouldn’t recommend you go there.

Good New Business Standard Hotel”
This place was a bit over my normal budget but after over a week roughing it in a budget hotel in Minca and a cheap apartment in Santa Marta I needed a couple of nights comfort and particularly a hot water shower! This hotel is pretty new and the rooms were great and what you would expect at this price point. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and at least one spoke good English. Wifi worked well. The jacuzzi on the roof was pleasant to relax during the heat of the day. Although it had only 3 pieces of equipment I also made use of the small gym. The hotel is located within 10 minutes walk of a large mall with plenty of places nearby to eat and drink, including an Italian place virtually next door. There is a big supermarket nearby too. The area seemed pretty safe and I never felt ill at ease there even late in the evening.
