Find hotels near Yuanshan Township in Yilan, Taiwan

Its a home stay accomodation. The rooms are okay and looked a little old. They seemed to have a different block which is newer. If you like nature & a nice garden, then you will like the breakfast area with a huge garden. We stayed in a family room with 3 double beds so it was more than enough for a family of 5. Toilet looks very old and hope they will consider renovating it. Rooms are not sound proof and staff reminded us not to walk too loud at night.

We planned a quick weekend trip away to Yilan and stayed at the Aleex Villa because we planned on driving back to the west side of the island via Hwy 7 and this was a convenient location to the mountains, but still not too far from town and the coast. The only hiccup was that since we were coming from Taichung on Friday evening we chose a place where the front desk closer later (10pm) however on the drive we received an email from Agoda saying they closed at 8 and we had not checked in yet - yeeps! I gave the front desk a call and let them know we would be closer to 8:30pm and they were kind enough to hang out and wait for us - I just felt bad as I thought our later arrival would not be a special favor. If you are planning on arriving past 8, it's best to phone ahead to arrange I would assume. Great quiet spot, clean rooms, friendly staff, easy communication, and tasty breakfasts!

The place is located in a small street off the main road (near the hotel/ restaurants), had little bit of difficulties finding the place. The place seems to have been for big groups (school camps perhaps?) in the old days with quite a few rooms on the floor i had stayed. The owner was very kind and the local breakfast he delivered was surprisingly good! There are lots of places to eat and chill nearby (some even with a view), but obviously u cannot expect the hotel quality beddings and facilities. I would highly recommend otherwise.

We stayed for just one night, but it was a memorable time. On arrival, we were treated to a nice coffee/tea snack. We didn't do the dinner, but bought in from the night market instead. We did have the wonderful breakfast. Through it all, it was a simple, relaxing, and warm time of chatting with the host in a rustic and comfortable place surrounded by farm land. The kids were happy and remember playing with the host. That probably speaks the most. Thanks for a great break!
