Traveler impressions of Gold Coast
sixth trip to the gold coast, have seen it grown quickly in the last few years still enjoy it, hope it doesn't get over crowded
it is always busy. Something for everyone from choosing your accommodation make sure you have a pool, and other activities games rooms etc for younger families are great.
Stay a little out of town and hire a car to get around.
Gold Coast is for people looking for fun and love the beaches. Good place to relax and entertaining. All the theme parks are fun and good, suitable for all ages and especially for those looking for daredevil rides.
Food is not a problem and aplenty of entertainment to entertain the young and old and to those young at hearts. Good place for honeymooners.
It has good beaches and there are some nice places to eat. Lot's to offer in terms of activities if you have transport.
My daughters and I had a great 7 nights at the Gold Coast, enjoyed the food, shopping and theme parks.
The weather was great, the public transport is excellent and the locals are welcoming. Would recommend it to everyone.
Very nice place to visit. You will need to stay a day at Dreamworld, Movie World, Wetworld... Too bad they close so early.
Consider having fireworks at night during the weekend
On arriving into Gold Coast Airport if there are three to four people it is cheaper to take a taxi to your accommodation.
A good thing to do is have fish and chips from the shop at Aqua building Labrador where there is shaded tables and bench chairs overlooking the broadwater, with many boats and yachts sailing past and view over to the spit. Then at 1 30pm every day just a short walk up to Charis Brothers and there they feed the Pelicans with fish off cuts. This is an amazing spectacle of at least 50 to 100 large birds all wanting a piece of the action. A good photo shoot and the birds are not aggressive to people. Very entertaining and not an exspensive day.
We rent a car to travel around Gold Coast, from Currumbin Zoo to the theme parks. Some of the hotels at Gold Coast provide room with parking lot, thus it's quite convenience to drive there.
It's recommend to spend 1.5 hours on the sight-seeing cruise, and you won't regret it.
During the spring time, the beach was windy and the area was easily accessible by driving. Alot of free parking.
The area was very clean and organised with restaurant, park. Good tourist location for holiday.
I often visit the Gold Coast. It is easy to travel around as the public transport is excellent. There are lots of interesting places to visit without costing much money.
I have previously made good use of the libraries for checking newspapers and being an internet guest for no charge. It is also easy to get to Brisbane by public transport.
overall the golad coast is a nice place to go to relax... get some sun and read a nice book,,,, broadbeach is the best place to eat and surfers is the best place to go to the beach but overall the gold coast people are nice and friendly!!
Nice long beach, long seaside road to jog, cyclying, Big high wave to surf, sightseeing, a variety of gourmet to enjoy, spa to heal a body,
Something for everyone on the Gold Coast, high energy sports, theme parks, shopping centres, beaches, spa's, restaurants and cafes.
You can do lots or nothing and just relax.
One of Australia's playgrounds. Great weather most of the year, great beaches, rainforests, major shopping centres, casino, conference facilities, golf courses, theme parks, spa's, restaurants and cafes.
This place has something for everyone from adrenalin junkies to those who want to just chill.
SURFER PARADISE ARE VERY NICE BUT CANT STAY TOO LONG. WHALE WATCHING WAS TERRIBLE . ALL THE ASIAN IN THE BOAT VOMIT SERIOUSLY .
EVEN I WAS TAKE THE MEDICINE BEFORE THE BOAT SAIL BUT THE CURRENT IS TOO STRONG . I WONT RECCOMEND THIS ATTRACTION FOR ASIAN
Gold coast was nice, but very spread out!! Good for young families wanting to take their children for a fmaily hoiday
If You fly into Gold Coast Airport, get the 777 Double Decker Bus, change at Pacific Fair, BroadBeach South Terminal, change onto the Light Rail, its the best and very frequent.
IF You travel on there transport, theres Translink Go Card (all 3), or the Gold Coast only ticket (BUS & Tram only), and You get a capped deal for the full day. there is plenty to do, the BEACHES are the best, good for shopping, its the THEME PARK capital of Australia. like about 6 maybe more, do a Day tour even. and other attractions too. people are friendly there to, Carrrar Markets are a good place to visit too. theres an information booth in Cavill Ave. very informative. they will help You.
We love the Gold Coast always warm and we have been many times our children have always loved it as well.
We will go again for sure
Beautiful beaches and scenery, attractive theme parks for children and Casino at Jupiters for adults.
I will definitely go back again as it's very relax compared to Sydney and Melbourne.
Gold Coast has cleaned up its streets and made the city a more enjoyable one. It's very family friendly .
The gold coast is a fantastic area. Regardless of your length of stay there is so much to do in the area, both during the day and at night.
City is very clean, self driving there is very safe and easy. There are many varieties of food selection in the major shopping area.
Must visit the three worlds - Dreamworld, Movie World and Sea World. Stay in the Seaworld Resort if you have little kid and this will save you a lot of transport inconvenience.
I went with my friend for 6 days and we did not drive so we mostly took the tram and bus to get around and that was very convenient though time wise not so economical.
We visited Movie World, Sea World, Springbrooks (for the glow worms), Surfers Paradise, Robina and Habour town Centre (for the shopping). We also went for whale watching. There are quite a few things to do and you can consider hot air ballon tours, wine tours and nautre park tours. One thing to note is that most tours to the attractions start early in the day and by night time, many shops are closed so there isn't much to do after sundown. We felt that 6 days was too long to spend in Gold Coast and that 4 days would have been just nice.
GC offers activities for all ages. try to stay near the beach so that you may have wonderful seaview every morning.
transportation is very convenient as well.
There are many entertainment and shopping venues . this apartment near to shopping beach and pharmacy
The beach reminded one of Miami. Water was cold though. Weather was pretty good during our stay. There are several things to do within driving distance, e.
g. national parks, theme parks, outlet shopping, surfing, paddling, kayaking etc. Good food and fine dining available.
Gold coast is a plce to be seen just for the ocean itself plus the various attractions like movie world sea world as well as the great shopping and overall beach party ambience is amazing.
Easy to travel around with the buses and trams also trains. So relaxing and well worth a visit or two
