Find Bungalows in Koh Phi Phi, Thailand

Everyone just wants to have drinks and meet people, which is what I wanted to do so it was great. It is full of fire dancing, drunk hooligans, worldly young professionals and people finding themselves travelling Asia, a real smorgasboard. Although I like to drink and have a good time, I would not stay here for more than 2-3 days. This is because Thailand has so many other islands to visit and I can see how it would start to feel like Vegas after a while. I liked that koh phi phi was central in getting to other islands such as maya bay and there were plenty of activities offered. Just beware that when doing these tours, our guide was angry and did not want to tell us anything about what we saw. I also got bitten by a monkey on monkey island. I did not pester the monkey or feed it and had I known it was monkey island and around 5 people get bitten a day, I would have not even stepped on the island. The rabies shots were not worth getting a picture with a monkey. It was a still a great place to visit and I will always have a blurry memory of me on Christmas Eve skipping on ropes that were on fire.

You can take speedboat or long tail boat to do the sightseeing around Phiphi don or go to Phiphi leh and do some scuba diving. Many tour company selling activities, sightseeing, diving. There are also rental areas for kayaks and stand up paddle boards.

Choose the right accommodation to either be in the hustle and bustle of nightlife of on the fringe if you prefer a quiet setting. Enjoy!

I would recommend spending a bit more on your hotel and stay at the Phi Phi hotel. It is a noisy island so don't go there if you want to chill out.

Tonsai Bay is noisy and not very clean. The beaches further south are more clean and quiet.

Great plan, got to see all the nature, secret and hidden places and beaches and then continued with partying! Take any kind of trips to other places, it's more fun and you get to know other people.

Its a very pretty island and it is awesome to take a boat tour where you see nice cliffs, the viking cave, the monkey beach (monkeys sit up in the trees and you can feed them) as well as snorkeling and seeing the amazing corals and fishes. I really liked to go to the Phi Phi island. I took the ferry from Krabi which took about 1,5 hours. After visiting Phi Phi, I took another ferry to Phuket. An amazing trip and very easy to travel from point A to Point B. By the way-If you want to go up the mountain to the view point, make sure that you bring 30 Baht per person as entrance fee (because its private property). Have a nice stay in Thailand :)

The island is pleasant and has no cars. You walk everywhere, which isn't that far since it isn't that big. We had a relaxing time, but I definitely could see enjoying the place more 20 years ago. The main industries seem to be pizza joints and tattoo parlors. So if either one of those is your thing, you'd certainly find work there. There's about as many cats on the island as perminent residents. I quite liked the cats, while they were mostly wild, they were (for the most part) well socialized and friendly with people passing by. The locals treat the cats well, which speaks highly to their character. Overall, it's a friendly, low key place.

The ambiance and serenity has gone from this once beautiful island. Sad to say I will not be visiting again.

I love this island!! It comes alive at night, with thai boxing, bars and beach parties! Fire shows and body paint! There are loads of little food stalls everywhere and beautiful fruit smoothies. There are loads of different boat trips available to maya beach and the lagoons etc.. to land on Maya bay you have to pay the guard 400bahts.

Note that one side of the island, Dalum Beach is very party-centric (at night only) and thus visitors should be scrupulous about accommodation so as to accommodate party habits (e.g. if you're a party-goer perhaps you don't mind a hotel that is surrounded by noise - which will echo all along that beach front). Meanwhile TonSai could be split into a pier side (i.e. it is central, surrounded by marine traffic and therefore a close walk to the party, which means the party can be heard from hotels in that central nearby pier area) and then there is the further away end of TonSai which is much quieter (and with regard to massages and food can be 10-50 baht cheaper compared to the rest of the island) but as suggested further away meaning requires consideration about walking distances to get to/from the party on Dalum and the pier. The far end TonSai beach is very nice though (even if there isn't much shade, a common theme on the island). Overall the island has changed over the past 2.5 years, in my experience. There is development around almost every corner (including the quiet end being far TonSai although not as much here), there is substantial marine traffic, haggling has become non-existent and the prices are expensive - not necessarily for alcohol or foods but very much for activities (which are huge selling points and attractions) as well as shopping. On the other hand kayaks can be hired for hour stints for upwards $us5 pp - note the tide is typically low on Koh Phi Phi and the surrounding islands are too far to kayak to. Overall this is a great island for those seeking out a party, nightlife, tours.

If you're on a budget - Visiting the viewpoint is nice. The hike to Long beach is worth it as well. If you're too lazy to walk back water taxis should be 100-150 baht per person back to the pier. Definitely watch the fire shows on the party beach side which start around 8:30 pm.

All in all a very relaxing place with great scenery highly recommended.

The people there keep assuming that me and my friend was from China, which actually affected me a lot. They will start imitating China chinese ascent which are pretty annoying. The beach is beautiful and visit to the viewpoint is a must! It takes quite a bit of effort to hike up the mountains and a really long flights of steps and it takes about half an hour. The view on top can basically see the whole of Phi Phi. Good photos can be taken and watching sunset from the top is really awesome. There basically nothing much you can do at Phi Phi other than visiting the beach and nightlife. No shopping there as the items are all expensive. Not recommended to stay more then 2 nights.

Tonsai Bay is a busy, lively community with quite a few pleasant places to eat. The viewpoint is a big trek but worth it for phenomenal views. There are a myriad of outdoor activities and tours and lots of interesting nearby points of interest. Visitors to Phuket would be wise to stay at least a couple nights. The natural beauty of the beaches and surrounds are stunning.

And you can chat with locals.

The locals are very friendly. Food is slightly pricey as most goods have to be brought in from another place. Easy to get around and beaches are clean and beautiful. Weather can be very hot so make sure you bring enough sunblock and drink loads of water. Things to do would be snorkeling, suntanning, massage and just chilling by the beach and cafes. Nightlife is also entertaining here.

The islands are really beautiful and views are breathtaking. People are warm & helpful, too.
