Great place for short term or long term stays”
Staying at Chogun Hostel was a great experience. The hostel is somewhat hidden so be on the lookout for the check-in sign out front! After finding it everything exceeded expectations. I was welcomed by the owner and her helper who guided me to my room upstairs. I was upgraded rooms and also given a place to store my bike! The owner was so kind and helpful. Will definitely be staying here again soon. Thank you!

Very helpful owner”
We got there late with our 4 bicycles and the owner moved all the furniture in her money exchange et office so that we could safely lock our bikes overnight. She was extremely accommodating but it is definitely not ideal for cyclists. The place is clean and well situated. The room was huge and very comfortable. We recommend.

If there were a reception, it’d be even better”
It is a bit difficult to find as there’s no big sign. My self check-in was impossible if it weren’t for a kind Thai lady who happened to stay here. Thanks to her I checked myself in. The dorm was very clean and the AC worked just fine. This hostel is located in the town center, 15 min walk to the train station.

The location is great, a couple of minutes walking from the train station. However, there's not much to do in this hostel. WiFi is not really stables and the beds are too hard to sleep on (really uncomfortable).

Everything was great in general. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location is golden (street food all the way). The only thing that troubled me was that wi-fi was not available when I was staying. Also, there was no security system at all, so I wouldn't recommend for solo female travelers.

You won’t find many hotel/hostels like this one. It can be frustrating, but the staff do try to be helpful, especially when it comes to the late night how to get the key conundrum. The hostel works on a series of card driven security locks, without which entry is difficult,, so late entrants mean late trips by staff to organise the keys. Staff always helpful, if perhaps a little thin on the ground. The organisation generally might gain by documentation, but then so many things, especially those on the government side, would. That said, location in Chumphon is great, food options on the street wonderful, and shopping much cheaper than it is in other Thai cities. II enjoyed my stay here and in Chumphon. Just don’t expect either to be slick :)

When I arrived it was closed. I called the owner who said that she knew another hostel were I could stay. She brought me to another creepy hostel on the side of the highway and wanted to make me pay for the ride. I said no, i was scared and wanted to go back to the city. She left me there. I tried to walk but it was dark and dogs ran After me. Worst night in Thaïland.

WORST HOSTEL I'VE EVER BEEN TO”
We you reserved it's written that you have the breakfast included, bikes available for free, kitchen, commune space, collations, etc... But in fact, there is nothing of that! Furthermore, everything is dirty and the personnel threatening to call the police as soon as we complain!!!

We stopped here for quick sleep and shower while in transit from islands to overnight train onto Bangkok. The beds are board hard but clean. The shower did not have a shower head so more like rinsing off with garden hose. The bathroom was clean, very basic. Hostel not the easiest to find and a good 15-20 min walk from train station.

The room with 2 beds and no window is horrible. The other rooms are okay but dont book this room. So many spidereggs on the wall, all dirty under the beds and it smeled. Its not worth. The other rooms are okay for the price.
