We were truly impressed by the service, quality of the food, style and maintenance of the rooms and the location of the Pilgrimage. It's large enought to have pools and several restaurants to choose from, but it doesn't at all strike you as a 'resort'. It's a naturally beautiful oasis, right outside the city center of Hue. After visiting the other top hotels in Hue, I cannot recommend enough the choice to stay at Pilgrimage. The prices are more affordable and the experience is more luxurious than any other in Hue.

We stayed here for 2 nights and were not disappointed. Ana Mandara has extremely friendly staff and the best accommodation we had in Vietnam. The beach and swimming pool are beautiful and the restaurant serves delicious food although it is rather expensive Unfortunately the weather wasn't great but if the sun was out this would have been the perfect place! Another of the few negatives is that it is about 15km from Hue and although there was a shuttle to and from Hue twice a day this fills up pretty quickly, so book in advance. We will definitely go back but next time will spend a bit more time at this scenic gem.

This has to be one of the best hotels I have stayed in, truly a five star hotel. The building itself is magnificent set in lovely gardens. The rooms are spacious and extremely modern and comfortable. Thge hotel pool is large and beautiful with adjoining gym and sauna. The buffet breakfast was delicious with a huge range of food to suit all tastes. Just on the outer part of the4 city it is only a couple of dollars to the city centre. The staff at this hotel must be the best in Vietnam. Most speak extremely good English and were extremely helpful and friendly. Easily the best hotel in Hue and argubaly for value the best in Vietnam. Highly recommended fo travellers of all types.

I can not fault the service at our stay at Imperial Hotel. The staff were extremely pleasant - as soon as you walk through the door, you will be impressed! Not only is the hotel new, it is clean whilst maintaining a sense of culture of the real Vietnam, best felt in Hue. The breakfast was amazing. My family like traditional Hue and Vietnamese food for breakfast, whereas I prefer scrambled eggs, natural yoghurt and bran - and we were all very impressed with the selection and variety of food. The wait staff were also very attention. Make sure to try the iced coffee with condensed milk - the best coffee I had in all of Vietnam (we went to Saigon, Da Nang and Hoi An too!). The rooms very clean, very spacious, beds were comfortable and the bathroom was a great size. I didn't find anything wrong with - except that wifi on the 9th floor on our corner room was not very strong. The location - its tucked away on a quiet street, however, you are only a few mins walk away from the hustle and bustle. It is great to be able to walk around and feel comfortable as soon as you leave the hotel. Note - Hue is one of the quieter cities so travellers should be aware that nearly all restaurants close by 10.00pm if not earlier - even on the weekend - so get in early!

Loved my stay at Huong Giang Resort! After days of dreary weather, a sunny breakthrough on the lovely, lazy Perfume River whose shores the hotel is perched on, I had a reprieve from previous mediocre travels in North Vietnam. The setting and attentiveness of staff at this resort added to the enjoyment of Hue and its surroundings. The facilities were superior, closer to 5 star than its 4 star rating. The hotel concierge and tour agency clerks treated me with family friendliness and made me feel relaxed and welcomed. Even the bartender showed genuine interest and attentiveness to his customers needs. I will definitely try to return on a future trip.

i enjoyed my stay in hue vietnam very much,my stay at the camellia hue hotel was more than i expected, and very reasonably priced. the hotel staff were very pleasant, and helpful. it was comforting to be treated so nicely. we took two tours during are stay, booking from the hotel...the dmz tour was great, although, i wish i had done it 20 years ago, when there would have been more to see. the tour guide explained everything very well, and all in all, i got to experience a lot, in a short time. take care..i would do it again

From the moment I arrived at the Moonlight Hotel Hue, I felt like I was home. I had a motorbike fall on my way from Da Nang, and one of the busboys, Trung Truc, immediately busted out his full compliment of first aid equipment and fixed me up. The whole staff was exceptional, from the check-in counter to the restaurant workers. They all remember your name and will come over for a friendly chat. Hung, another busboy, was always there to teach me Vietnamese pick-up lines or tell me where to go in the city of Hue. I had a room on the 11th floor, and the jacuzzi with huge windows overlooking the city gave the feeling I was in a hotel four times the price. There's no better hotel in Hue, and if you had half a brain, you would book the Moonlight Hotel Hue right now.

It is a very centrally located but quiet hotel, with one of the best river views available from hotels in Hue. Its 4* are adequate, as rooms are spacious and confortable, with the usual amenities, even if the bathroom was small. Every costumer services, at the front desk and room service, was perfect. They managed the booking of a private boat and a taxi and charged the official prices. The caffé and the restaurants are good. The Riverside restaurant has exceptional service at a very good price at the best setting. Terrace Restaurant has a good buffet for breakfast and lunch and a menu dinner with option of terrace tables. Beware of the mosquitos while dinning at either restaurant.

We arrived at EMM Hotel in the early morning on a damp, rainy day. Staff at the reception desk welcomed us with warm ginger tea and managed to check us in right away even though the check-in time is at 3:00 pm. Our room is clean, spacious, simple but tastefully decorated. I love the room purple and teal accent since it gives a sense of harmony and tranquility (typical Hue). The bar and pool area is very nice, opened air where you can relax with a drink on a hot day or cool night. The breakfast buffet is adequate with enough varieties from bun bo Hue, banh bot loc to bacon and egg. The staff at the reception desk is always available, courteous, professional, and attentive to all your needs from tour car, street directions, banking, to umbrella. Overall we had a lovely and relaxing 4-day stay with excellent service at EMM hotel.

We booked the Eldora Hotel for a one night stay in Hue and were incredibly impressed with the charm and classiness of the hotel. We stayed in several 4 star hotels during our time in Vietnam, and this was by far the most luxurious. It truly felt like like a 5 star international hotel at a budget friendly price point! The hotel was beautiful with excellent facilities, although the gym was rather small and the pool did smell slightly of mold (and was unheated like the other pools we encountered in Vietnam). The rooms were quite spacious with comfortable beds and excellent amenities. We particularly enjoyed having a free standing clawfoot tub as well as a separate shower. Breakfast was quite nice with a wide selection of choices. Service was top notch, whether we needed help with arranging a cab to the sites or recommendations for dinner!

This is the third time I have booked rooms at this hotel which used to be Mercure Gerbera Hotel (Accor Group), then Gerbera Hotel (Angsana Group), and now Muong Thang Hue Hotel. Though the name sounds local the quality of service remains excellent. The property is well maintained through the years, and the customer service has improved from better to best. I was just surprised that I had to pay for the use of the sauna. The reception staff were very professional in dealing with guests. At check out time I was surprised to see a bill for mineral water we never consumed but the efficient receptionist managed to rectify the mistake made by her colleague and did not insist in charging us. I will definitely come back to this hotel on my next trip to Hue City.

James at the front desk and the rest of the staff really took care of me. this is legit the best hotel I have ever stayed at in Vietnam, period. When I am talking the best, it's the staff that make this hotel good. I felt safe, and trusted the staff that they would make things right if they went wrong at all. seriously, i wish all hotels in vietnam could be as half as good as this one was. If I ever have to book a hotel in Hue. I am going to this one. no questions.

like from another review, we nearly missed out on visiting hue, but we're glad that we didn't. and the saigon morin hotel made it our best hotel stay in vietnam.. it's a peaceful haven and great for relaxing from vietnam's city life. while you are here, don't miss on the indulging foot or body massage which costs half of the price you pay in the major cities. my hubby had a facial and he was very happy with it. it's located near to the hue imperial city and dongba market, both of which you shouldn't miss.. hire a guide for a one to two day tour of the imperial city, the thien mu pagoda and the imperial tombs. there is a wonderful local restaurant just 10 mins drive away that has serves hue delicacies at inexpensive prices. all in all, the saigon morin is a great hotel with a great location, with excellent service from the english-speaking hotel staff.

Hue Hotel offers remarkable services for good value. The hotel is charming, with an elegant design and large rooms. The swimming pool is small but very useful after a day in the heat, especially with children. They should just think to increase the number of long chairs around the swimming pool. Or to make more available on demand. The breakfast is top quality, both for Asian and European food.

Good sleeping conditions, no outside noise in this smallish hotel, and the wifi was really good. While by this criteria the Scarlet is excellent hostelry -- like many in Vietnam in this category/price range -- we would by no means make claim that it is The Best hotel in Hue. Located down an alley set back from the street meant minimal views from the window/balcony -- and minimal motobike noise. Breakfast and coffee was a little disappointing, but not inedible for this three-day stay. Really nothing to complain about here, although if you prefer a bit more infrastructuure in your hotel or are planning a longer stay in Hue, a larger hotel might be more suitable. The Scarlet clientele appeared to be more westerners, and couples without children. And no PRC tour groups in evidence.

Most probably one of the best service in Vietnam. Great hotel, good location, fantastic service. Great experience even at the check in, welcome food and drink served, with good advices referring stay in Hue, with map. Nice clean room, tidy maintanance, free water and fruit basket every day! Perfect sense of what a tourist need in tropical heat( 37C in Hue). The only small negative is the bathroom was a bit small, but no real problem. All staff is extremely helpful but not pushy. Very rare experience!Great hotel punching far beyond its weight. Far better then some other Hue Hotels with one more star... Clearly recommandable- I am never 100 % satisfied but this was something like 95% and next year when I am in Hue I definitely stay here.

I had a terrific stay at Park View Hotel! Although the hotel was filled due to a Festival in Hue I was given a very nice quiet suite by the General Manger. The breakfast buffet is huge ! Both Asian and Western foods. The hotel restaurant is great for lunch and dinner. I booked two tours (Citadel and DMZ Tours) by the hotel and was very satisfied.Very nice pool to relax at.The hotel staff is very efficient and is able to communicate in English very well.If traveling to Hue,I highly recommend The Park View Hotel.You will not be disappointed !

Probably one of the best hotels in Hue. Also I enjoyed Hue city so much, that I prolonged my stay for another two nights at the same hotel. One of pleasant surprises was size of the room and bed - both were huge. Continental breakfast surprised even more - luckly I could choose something eatable as I was already too tired eating unknown origin meal on the streets. This hotel helped me to survive in Vietnam. After a long day walk in the city you can get a nice massage (and hear some "tip me, tip me, five dollars" from a massage lady), but that was worth it. However I accidentaly discovered a dark side as well. After outstanding massage I messed up with floor buttons in elevator and entered wrong room with the key of my room! After 10 second shock (where the hell are my suitcase, my clothes and why everything is so tidy in "my" room?) I realized what have I done. But that was really the only disapointment after all. Hotel staff was very helpful - they arranged bicycles for us and that was pretty much a good choice as we visited most of the sightseeing spots in Hue and surrounding areas Also this hotel is closest from all to the Citadel.

We stayed at several hotels in Hue, Quang Tri, and Da Nang on our trip which ranged from very cheap to fairly expensive and we would have to say that this hotel was the best for its price. We were very impressed with the staff who seemed pretty fluent in English. They were all so sweet and helpful with suggesting activities and sites to see. The rooms were surprisingly very clean and well kept. Very professionally ran. The breakfast selection at their restaurant was great! They had a nice menu with an exotic fruits bar. Drinks were ok. The that I would have to complain about during our stay was (1) the location and (2) the second room that we transferred to. First, It's down a small alley which made it extremely difficult for our bus to find and get into. And second, on our last night there we switched to a smaller hotel room because our friends left and the room reeked of sewage! The smell was so bad and putrid that we had to hold our breath whenever we went into the bathroom. We would've asked for a different room but they informed us that they were all booked up. All in all, it was a great stay and we will most likely stay here again but only if they give us a non-smelly room.

we stayed for 2 nights in the romance hotel in hue. after our long train journey from hanoi we were warmly welcomed on arrival by hang, a member of the reception staff. all our special requests were provided and hang personally showed us to our room. our accommodation was large, modern and comfortable. our breakfast was served on the 11th floor with great views of the city. it was without doubt the best breakfast we had during our 3 week tour of vietnam. this hotel is excellent value for money.

You will not go wrong by taking a few days out of a hectic travel / tour schedule to put your feet up on the beach here. Literally on the beach, the staff and facilities here are exceptional. We ate lunch and breakfast and the food was fantastic. The beach bar offers a low-key place to eat or drink. The absolute best part was the amazing sunrise. The only thing to understand is this location is about a 35 minute drive from Hue. If being in the middle of the action is important, come to the Beach Bar for the day. However, I'd recommend a couple nights in a bungalow to unwind.

When booking I requested a quiet room, but was put in the bungalow next to the restaurant. This place is listed as a hotel and not homestay but the family that run it stay on the property. The family are nice enough, they have 2 young boys that play around the restaurant area and regardless of time are screaming the most high pitched screams all the time. I'm not telling you how to raise your children but this is not the way to run a business where people stay to relax. I can't fault the bungalows they're super comfy modern and new, however smelly dainage is a problem. Great AC and Wi-Fi when electricity doesn't cut out. I stayed for 3 days and each and every time the electricity was out, sometimes for hours which make the rooms unbearably hot. The restaurant, besides the free breakfast is not worth visiting. The food is very bland, low quality and over priced compared to the restaurant on the main strip. After a one or two mouthful of dry over cooked chicken and boring bland dishes I cut my loses and just left it. The saving grace and absolute asset to this family is the young lady that works for them, she speaks good English, very kind and always doing her best to help. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you can cope with screaming kids, power cut, dark dirt road at night that leads to the property.

Hong Thien 1 was the best hotel we stayed at in Vietnam. The staff took the time to show us a map of the entire city and specifically where we should spend a lot of time. They arranged our transportation out of Hue and helped us book another hotel for a different city. The breakfast was DELICIOUS and fresh to order. The staff went out of their way to make you feel welcomed and special. After a long day walking around Hue, we were greeted with fresh juice right when we walked in the door and again when we were swimming in the pool. The room was perfect for what we needed. Our laundry was finished in 1 day and was very affordable. They also let us know the local prices we should be paying for things so we weren't ripped off buying street food! The location couldn't have been better - the little neighborhood was full of great restaurants and was about a 10-15 minute walking distance to The Imperial City. We will come back to Hong Thien 1 again if we make our way back to Hue.

When we arrive at the Hotel the check-in went smoothly. The room are large, clean with a bathub/shower type. For the price we were very satisfied with the room. Breakfast was included and was ok, a major part of the food is not so warm in the buffet ( bacon, sausage etc.) so nothing fancy, but they do offer a egg station where you can get omelette and eggs made so for a free breakfast included with a room with the promotion by 2 nights get one free it was more than we expected. Night management was ok but we had lost the safe combination and nobody on the evening or night shift could help us and we had to go down to the counter to finally get some appropriate response. The day management is just fabulous and really courteous. Only bad side is any tour or services offered in or around the Hotel. We try to book a trip with the Hotel to go to the caves and their price were doubled than the one we found in town and the lady working at the tour desk really didn't know much about tours that was deceiving. We finally went to town and book the same tour in a travel agency for half price they were asking. The hotel rents moot-bikes but again the price asked for a day or half day was way more expensive than what we got in town and that was also deceiving. The hotel is close to center town, but other hotel are closer so you might want to get bicycles or motto-bikes to go around the city. Overall the hotel is cheap for what you get and its clean so I would recommend it but book your trips and transportation outside the Hotel in one of the agencies in the center town. As for Hue city it is nice but we had bad experience with the local population who won't help you with directions or will simply tell you to get lost if you try to ask. Its sad cause we had good experience in all other cities in Vietnam.

We did just a short 1 night stay in Hue and found this hotel to be one of the best we stayed during our Vietnam trip. The staff were super welcoming giving us some good recommendations for sightseeing. Madame Thu restaurant was excellent to try local delicacies and got gel nails done for only 100k dong in a nearby street. The room was spacious, extremely comfortable beds and super clean. Breakfast was an abundance of choice which lots of vietnamese choices which we loved.

We are a couple travelling Vietnam during one month. We experience many hotel and accommodation and by far, La perle Hotel in Hue is the best than any other we experienced: staff service, quality « all you can eat breakfast », the cleanliness of the room and all the facilities you need to spend a great time in Hue. They give you great tips and can help with booking tours and transportation for you. Laundry service was flawless. We will stay again next time!

Incredible villas on the river. Qi was an outstanding host and was very helpful and insightful on what to do in Hue. He booked a fantastic day tour for us on the back of motorbikes with a driver - super fun. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Hue which is central to everything then this is the place to stay. It’s a 2 minute walk to the walking streets which come alive at night and a 15 minute walk across the river to the imperial citadel. 10/10 rating in every category!!
