Find Hotels in Positano, Italy

Upon arrival the hotel didn’t seem much - you are dropped off at a lay-by just outside of Positano but don’t let that put you off! Everything about this hotel is stunning.. each room has a balcony with sea view, every member of staff could not be more helpful! They remember the tiniest things about you e.g the first night I said I was gluten free - when I turned up to breakfast the next morning two staff came up to me and told me they had a special table with gf food for me. The setting is spectacular and rather nice because it’s veru difficult for anyone not staying in the hotel to get in and use the facilities. Giuseppe by the pool was an absolute star, catered to our every need and always on hand for whatever we wanted. Only thing is I wouldn’t recommend if you get tired walking easily or have sold legs knees as you need to walk up and down stairs for where ever you want to get to. Apart from that absolute perfect stay for us, we will be back!

We have just completed a week stay at this lovely hotel in positano - before arriving I was a little apprehensive about the number of steps that you have to climb to get up to the hotel - 107 steps is quite a lot but if you take your time it is not too bad but in the heat can be a little difficult - the porters who work at the hotel are absolutely fantastic and thankfully one was waiting for us when we arrived to ‘lug’ our bags up to our room. We were informed on arrival that there is a city tax that you have to pay by cash and this is €4 per person per day - we decided to pay ours on checking out. The hotel really is in a beautiful spot with absolutely spectacular views over Positano - you are situated up quite high and the walk down into the main town takes about 25 minutes - if you don’t want to walk though you can take the ‘interno positano’ bus service that runs every half an hour. The rooms in the hotel are so clean and comfortable and the staff are amazing!!!!!!

As a hotel it was pretty good, the main problem was the distance from the main tourist areas of Positano, i.e. the beach and restaurants/shopping areas down near the beach. The breakfast at the hotel was quite good, the rooms were good and the shower was good too. The hotel has an odd layout and we had to follow a winding path down and up stairs to our room from the lift. We also had to carry our luggage up and down these stairs. If I were to come to Positano again I may choose a hotel closer to the beach as it was a fairly long walk down winding stairs to get to the beach area, similar to the katoomba bushwalks in Australia if you've ever been on one! On the other hand I'm not sure if the SITA bus that takes you back to Sorrento goes much further down to the beach area than where the Domina Inn is located, I don't see how it could fit. So if you have a lot of luggage it might be better to stay up at the top of the hill, especially if you don't mind walking, a lot...

My wife and I just finished 5 nights at the hotel. We had visited 10 years ago and it is still a perfect hotel. There are more luxurious hotels in Positano, but Villa Gabrisa has a great location (high on the hill), great rooms with views, a wonderful staff, and a very good restaurant! With a welcome drink, clean facilities, wi-fi, and a staff that speaks English, it was very easy to settle in and relax for the period. It is STILL on our list to return!

this villa is not a hotel, it is a fabulous place to stay for a few days, enjoying one of the best view of positano cost. The staff is wonferfull, the swimming pool is almost private, cause there is not a lot of people (7rooms only), and the place is quiet. By walk, you go to restaurant and the beach in 5-10 minutes. You can rent motorcycle near by the villa, so you can enjoy all the amalfi cost and sleep there after. Definitely worth the price, which is less than other big 4 5 stars hotels.

Positano is lovely already but this place is wonderful and lovely to stay. The staff are all nice and the location is very good. If you take your car, there is a valet parking service with certain daily fee. As parking and driving is not so easy in Positano, it was an wonderful service too. We stayed without the ocean view but it was still nice to stay as this hotel is right in heart of Positano city center and 5-10 mins walking distance to the main beach. I met 5 staff in this hotel including the owner and they were all nice with good service. I really enjoyed staying here with my friend.

Great staff with very good recommendations for local food. All rooms are suites with sea view. Avoid rooms 101 and 102 as they cut off some of the view. Great location away from the center of town, but right across from all transportation and the hotel offers free shuttle service back and forth to the town as well. A lovely 20 minute walk into town if you choose to walk. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. Breakfast is continental. If you need an American breakfast with eggs, there is an extra charge.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room, is clean, the bed really comfortable. There's 2 arm chairs in the room as well. The bathroom was a little small but manageable. The terrace area is lovely with a great view. Breakfast was served their each morning. Our hosts were lovely and kind. Thd location is great, the walk to and from the beach is easy one. If you reaaly want a lovely walk, we ernt out the propery and turn right and walked up and around did a loop. The food here is quiet pricey but we gound two great places to eat xt reasonable prices. One is the little supermarket up the stairs just as you start your walk to the beach. They have home cooking to take away, really nice people too, and a bakery on the left just before the locsl bus stop do great take away pizzas at a great price. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

This was my most favourite place in Italy. The staff were brilliant, very friendly and happy to give advice about where to go and places to see on the Amalfi Coast. The village of Nocelle where the B+B is located is absolutely beautiful. The locals were all very friendly, the lovely pathways were lovingly swept clean everyday and the fact that there were no cars or bikes in the village just added to the wonderful peace and clean mountain air. The bus ride down to Positano was an experience in itself with spectacular views most of the way down and all the locals greeting each other at every stop down to the township of Positano. I loved this place, for many reasons but most of all coming back to the B+B after a day out felt like coming home. This place was a real find and I am definitely planning to return to Nocelle and most definitely Bacio Del Sole.
