"best location in rome. you could find all public transportation such as train, metro, tram and bus station just few blocks away. although the room is a little bit samll, but it is usual. it is almost impossible to find a big room hotel in rome. the breakfast is adequate and the room is clean with comfortatble bed. it will be more attractive and easier for customer to find it if the hotel sign is made bigger."

"Stayed here for 4 nights and we did not regret booking the hotel! Location: Close to rome termini station and repubblica metro station. Many restaurants nearby (and chinese restaurant for ppl who needs their rice fix) Room: Clean, spacious for 3 adults, bathroom is big as well. Hot water supply is a bit limited as the 3rd person might not be able to get very hot water to bathe (not a very good news in winter) Smart phone with internet is provided for guest to use. Very small lift, large grp have to split up and take turns to go up to the room. Hotel is very responsive to email as we wrote in to confirm reservation and ask about electric kettle (they don't provide so we brought our own) My family agreed that the breakfast spread is the best out of the 4 hotels that we stayed in italy(florence/venice/milan), and it is definitely very value for money!! Would stay here again!"

"As a newly arrived student in Rome, the hotel was located in a perfect situation - very close to the university. On top of that, I was able to use the free shuttle bus to school and the gym! It was very considerate that the room was always super clean and equipped with electric kettle/tea and TV. The staffs were very helpful and friendly. Grazie Mille! "

"The Torino Hotel in Rome is located perfectly. Very close to the railway station (Termini) and within walking distance of most of the interesting places such as Fontana di Trevi, Colosseum, Place Navona, even the Vatican is not too far away. During our whole stay (in June) we had beautiful wheather which made it possible to have breakfast on the roof terrace every morning. Definitely recommended!"

"We have stayed at the Excel Roma Montemario in September for the last four years. We really like the local area with good cafes and shops and we enjoy the 100 minute walk into Rome through the local areas. We have got to know some really interesting shops, cafes (much less expensive than central Rome) and friendly/helpful people. The hotel has good facilities with a gym and swimming pool. However we were very disappointed to find that free access to the pool was restricted to those renting 'suites' only. We would have had to pay 210 euros for seven days use. We think this is excessive especially as we feel the pool is an essential hotel facility. "

"Came to Rome from Paris on the overnight train but got lost as we came out from the wrong exit of the train station. However, after we were pointed to the right direction, found the hotel easily enough. Happy to know that it was about 15 minutes walk from the train station. Unfortunately, the road condition from the train station to the hotel is mainly cobblestones and potholes, with many intersecting roads, so there was a lot of having to carry our luggages over the pavements and holes. The cobblestones were murder on our luggage's wheels as well. Reached Hotel 1 first, and thought it was the end of our travails, but were informed, politely and courteously, that we were booked into Hotel 2 instead. There is a long flight of stairs down to the hotel lobby, and we had to negotiate that flight of steps again, only to meet the similar flight of stairs at Hotel 2, a short distance away from Hotel 1. The room was quite cosy and big, but the bathroom/toilet was very small in comparison. You need to pay a deposit for the TV remote control before you can even turn it on, and the receptionist advised us that it only had Italian channels, and advised against getting the remote control even. The hotel was near the Santa Maria Majorie, so that's a plus I guess. The hotel was partnered up with local tour agencies that provided day trips to the Coliseum and Vatican City, which was quite convenient. However, these are subject to availability, like the St Peter's Basilica being closed on the whims and fancy of the church without prior warning. NO refund given to us either! Otherwise not too bad a hotel, but the location is situated along the back alley, so that was not too good..."
