"i am a traveler, and whether for pleasure or for business, i always make sure that before i select the hotel @ agoda i check on the reviews if ever they meet my requirements. in most asian countries that i have been, i have experienced staying in some citadines chain of hotels and i would say they always satisfy my taste each time. i stayed in three different hotels in shanghai and i am giving a "thumbs up" rate to this citadines shanghai jinqiao hotel. the location may be a bit too far from the bustling city area but i didn't find it hard to get a taxi and to go to places where i need to be, because all attractions and shopping districts are reachable in just few minutes. the metro station may not be of walking distance but would only cost you 14rmb. the breakfast had a small number of choices in the buffet table but they change courses each day. there is this restaurant, about a little walk and just 2 corners away from the hotel(sorry i forgot the name but it won't be too difficult to find) which serves the best shanghainese food ever! i was glad we were able to discover that restau for they have so many authentic food choices and everything seemed so delectable and yummy at very affordable prices. you should really try it!! there is nothing that i dislike in the hotel for all the things i need in one accommodation is complete and all in one nice and cozy room - the clean bathroom, mini kitchen with big ref, a working table and a reception separate from the bedroom, soft bed (most hotels in china have orthopedic hard beds)and good-smelling bed linens. if you need something you can have it in just one call at the concierge or housekeeping section. the service is so efficient that i won't hesitate to stay there in citadines over and over again. i simply love all the comfort that comes with your stay in it! thanks citadines.."

"Finding a reasonably priced hotel in Shanghai can be a challenge. I have used the ZTE hotel in Pudong several times and have found it well suited for the business traveler on a budget. It is very close to the line 2 subway and thus easy to access the rest of Shanghai from. While most of the staff do not speak English, they work hard to ensure you are checked in efficiently and have the information you need for the hotel. The rooms have been clean. The breakfast is not bad - although if you are a juice in the morning drinker like myself, go around the corner to the 7/11 and buy a bottle the night before. The rooms can be noisy at times but I found it tolerable, except for one night when a whole group of drunken business people decided to lose their way to their room - but I suspect no hotel can be immune from that. All in all I will continue to use the ate for its reasonable rate. If you know your way around Shanghai at all, this hotel will work for you. "

"I had a great stay in this hotel. It is probably one of the best hotels in Shanghai, let down by the fact that it is in a very average location. You have to take a taxi or a 20 minute walk to the nearest MTR station to go anywhere interesting."

"It is the few 5 stars hotels choice you can have if you are in Minghang district. But beware, it is difficult to get a cab in the morning. Front desk staffs are new and told me it will not be a problem, but on day 1, it is a nightmare and I almost missed my appointment if I have not planned 1 hours allowance."

"Our stay at the Tianci Apartments was ideal. We had plenty of space for the 4 of us, without having to pay for 2 separate rooms at a Hotel. This accommodation was very accessible to local sightseeing destinations. My only concern here was that the bath/shower had mould around the edges - the rest of the bathroom was quite clean, as was the rest of the apartment. We also missed having internet access. I would also suggest that Tianci have a bedroom with single beds in it - as my children shared a large bed together, which they will not do for very much longer :-) As this is apartment accommodation NOT a hotel, we did not have an in-house restaurant, pool, gym etc - but we were out sight seeing all day anyway! However, we did have our own kitchen, washing machine and comfortable lounge area and a dining table. I would certainly stay here again, as we could do our washing, the apartment (besides the bath/shower) was very clean and it was very spacious and within walking distance to many local attractions. Thank you Tianci for our Shanghai experience. "

"The Yue Hotel is good value for money if you are coming with a family. My family of five stayed a total of three nights with three in one room and two in the other. The morning breakfast is a real plus with an excellent selection of food at the buffet. The hotel has easy access to Century Park, nearby Kerry Parkside Mall, (a little overpriced for Shanghai), The metro is directly underneath the hotel, and there is a really great cheap supermarket across the road. Ten minutes by taxi and you are at AP Plaza great for fake brand shopping. The Bund is within easy reach and the airport is about 45 minutes (130 yuan) or thr Maglev station is less than 10 minutes away by taxi or subway. There are some pretty crappy hotels in Shanghai and we made the mistake of staying at one once. The price was not far different but it was in a different league completely. One thing to note is that the wifi is available in the lobby not in the rooms. Lan cables are available in the rooms. Well worth your money, with or without the breakfast. We have no complaints. Speak slow and simply with the staff in English. It works out better. "
