"We visited the Hotel between 2002-04 and were struck by its wonderful environment and delightful staff. This time having visited many hotels in the meantime we were initially struck by the apparent lack of major progress in upgrading facilities to a 5 star level. However this is to denigrate the whole experience of visiting El Quseir as the simplicity and peacefulness are very much its unique appeal. The Hotel and its staff could have done very little more to improve the experience as they were most helpful right down to the chefs who willingly prepared special meals to deal with dietary requirements. The only compliant was the driver (outsourced these days) on the return trip dropped us off at the wrong terminal in Hurguada. Yes we should have made it clear we were going via Cairo but equally they should have checked rather than assuming. Apart from that a lovely experience - thoroughly recommend."
