"My train was delayed and they waited for me. I planned to take the bus but since I arrived late at night, I took a taxi and the driver refused payment by card nor payment with US dollars. The owner paid the driver and I paid him back the next day. Breakfast was good. I expected the croissant to be plain but it was with filling and they had other sweets, pies, for choices. The most important is their location. Walking distance to the church and right across the hospital. They also have a souvenir shop beside the hotel. "

"This is our second stay at Gran Paradiso. Two years ago, there were 4 of us, this time there were 12 of us! We go to San Giovanni Rotundo as pilgrims to visit Santo Padre Pio. Now that the body of Santo Padre Pio as been transferred to the new chapel, it's much nearer to Gran Paadiso. However, the walk to chapel which is inclined takes a toll on old people. I hope hotel can have an electric cart(like a golf cart) to take their guests to the chapel. Also, they should serve breakfast earlier than 7:30 am as the first mass starts at 7:30 am."

Special thanks to Vincenzo for the yummy, hot cup of cappuccino and for helping with my luggage. I will choose this hotel again if ever I come back."

"My room is very spacious and complete with almost everything I need. I stayed there for one night only after a long travel from Rome but I felt well-rested. I arrived late at night and I was warmly welcomed by a very nice staff as if he’s been waiting for me. The breakfast was also good! And great service! Thanks also to Antonio, who attended to my needs. The hotel is just within walking distance to the shrine of Padre Pio."

"This place is huge for SG Rotondo standards. Very quiet and peaceful. Location is down the hill. Needs extra effort climbing when going to the church. "

"We booked this hotel in late December for a pilgrimage to Padre Pio's Shrine in Italy. They upgraded our booking to superior type and it was really nice. i think this is their new property just next to the old building. the room was really modern and spacious for me and my wife. beds are super comfy and toilet are really clean. all the staff are very friendly and helpful. special thanks to Angela who assisted us during our stay. the property also has a restaurant located at the basement of the hotel. they served very nice meal for lunch and dinner. and staff at the resto are also very friendly. overall, this hotel is really the best property if you visit Padre Pio in Italy. Location is perfect and very close to the bus station and shrine. Thanks for the wonderful stay and if we visit Padre Pio again we will surely booked in this hotel again. :)"
