"I was shocked when I had found a place to stay INSIDE the citadel for such a cheap rate. OYO Lucky Hotel is a brand new hotel that had just opened a few months ago. The rooms were great and very large. The TV even had Netflix and Youtube on it! Right outside of our room was a large balcony that has a beautiful view onto the river. It isn't directly into the city, so we often drove into the city for dinner. But, with that being said, it is very peaceful and quiet. The staff are remarkable and were always willing to help us in any sort of way. I would definitely stay here again if I came back! Thank you!"

"This was a beautiful homestay with an amazing host and breakfast. She hired me a wonderful driver for the day to take me to the pagoda, 3 tombs, and the citadel. He then took me to a great local restaurant, where the family immediately took a shine to me and I ended up having dinner and drinks with them later that evening. As far as accomadation, the room was cool and quiet. There were no windows, which made it feel like a bit like a tomb, and I couldn't figure out how to get the hot water to work. That being said, the homestay is located next to the citadel, the garden is GORGEOUS, and the host is friendly. I would def stay again!"

"Lovely couple that own the homestay, beautiful contemporary design. Every welcoming gave me great suggestions on where to eat and what to see. Home is in a very much in a local neighbor, so if you like to be away from tourist. That said , I haven't experienced local grocery stores in Vietnam set up where you really don't go in but choose from a selection in the front of the store. And only found one store in the area that I could get a cold beer. This is something I like in a room. is a mini fridig and hot water kettle. Bed is comfy with nice bedding and great pillows. Oh, and it is very close to Imperial Citadel. And I found it interesting to see the little local contemporary fashion shops and beauty related stores and endless coffee hangouts. "

"The staff are most attentive to help and making our stay as comfortable and special as possible, nothing is too much for them. The pool and the garden area offered the most tranquil and restful moment. The design of the whole place is full of character and create the wonderful peaceful ambient as if we were back in time. The bed and linen are so comfortable. Cannot praise enough for this place, if I do come back to hue, I’ll definitely stay here again. "
