Hotels near fishing areas in Imperial Citadel

"Best. Experience. Ever. NOT staying here is a huge mistake. Hué itself is fine, but since you're really only there to see the citadel etc., make it a beautiful retreat and catch up on your reading in the lush garden. Our stay was what dreams are made of! Jean and Phuong were incredible. Phuong gave us a little walking tour of her village, and Jean was a charming and attentive (yet hands-off enough too) host. The room (read:house) is palatial and clean as can be. We were almost embarrassed by how big our place was, but we also felt amazing that our money was supporting the orphans next door. We met and ate dinner with them, then we all played together and sang songs. They are curious and happy and love meeting new adults. It was something I will remember all my life. Also breakfast was amazing and you MUST ask Jean for the dinner- $10 has never given us such a homey yet elegant experience- enough food for an army and delicious and special. Ask Mr Bean to pick some bananas for you, as you're far away from snacks. Or bring some munchies along. Also ask Phuog where to get the yummy fish soup down the lane- so good we each had two bowls in one sitting! I've said nothing negative because there isn't anything! Stop reading and just book!"
