Very nice hotel in a nice town.”

Bright, modern and very smart looking hotel in a peaceful environment. Quite high tech as well. Not as close to the railway station and bus stop as it looked on the map. A spacious, very nicely decorated (to my Scandinavian taste) twin – it even smelled new and fresh. There was also a lovely furnished balcony with a mountain view. Unfortunately, there was some kind of blue indicator (the smoke detector?) on the ceiling that spread an awful blue light in the room at night. We had two different kinds of breakfasts at Footprint Inn, one served on a tray (when occupancy was low) and one buffet breakfast. The breakfast served on a tray was excellent and beautifully presented, the buffet breakfast was quite ok. Very nice owner and staff.

It was a wonderful 7 day-stay at the inn, a comfortable place to relax at the end of the day. There is a lot of thought put into designing the inn by the boss, ensuring that the guests has a clean and spacious place to rest. The boss and his staff are very friendly and hospitable and offer good suggestions of sights to see and food to taste in the area. The breakfast at the inn is vegetarian cooked by the boss. Sometimes when the guest number is small, we get to taste the local food from the market and the street stalls. All in all, the week stay allowed us to enjoy and feel the heart beat of Jiji and the surrounding areas.

New, clean and wonderful service”

This is certainly one of the newest hotel in Ji Ji Township. The room sure looked nicer than the photos on Agoda. The hotel staffs are definitely professional and friendly. The hotel provided us with free bike rental voucher that can be redeemed near the train station so that is an added surprise.

Very good”

Room size is satisfactory for 1 person. I had a room on the 6th floor. The balcony is big, and i had a good view of the mountain range in the far distance. The inn is 5min walk from Jiji train station. There is actually a bus stop behind the inn, so public transport is quite convenient. Love the breakfast set. It is very healthy, and guests can even ask for 2nd serving of any of the dishes.

Footprint demonstrated a hotel can be tidy, cosy while eco-friendly. Staffs are awesome, breaky is very enjoyable, using local organic fruits and cage-free eggs. Would definitely visit again, strongly recommended especially for people who plan for a central-Taiwan trip.

Best hotel in Taiwan trip”

This is the best hotel in my Taiwan trip:, very friendly stuff and owner, comfy room, healthy breakfast. 8 minutes walk from Jiji train station.. If you want to go to sun moon lake for cycling make sure you buy coupon from the hotel because is cheaper and have extra 1 hours.

A pleasant stay”

we are appreciated that the hotel offered us free rental of bicycle so we explored the city much more conveniently.7-11 is nearby. Breakfast is good and organised , I can see the hotel operator has heart to manage it. if it's location more close to the train station, it would be fantastic ! overall, I enjoyed my stay with footprint.

Very good, left footprint memory. The boss looks looks like inexperience because no taxi service available, I think the reception need improvement. The staffs are too busy with their own work. Early morning going for morning jog but could not go out without room key pad for back gate. Have to wake up room mate to help.

great place for rest and relax”

i had booked a room for 6 pax and it was huge with 2 storeys with 3 king size bed and 2 bathrooms. we had a good night rest with the superb quality of the bed. staff was very friendly to ensure that we had everything we need and they provide free bicycle rental.

Marvellous. So regretful to stay only for a night. We fell in love with it at first sight! Worthy stay. Highly recommend it n will definitely go back again!

10 mins walking distance to station but also prone to train passing noise at dawn and evening. Staff are friendly and helpful and flexible. Room is spacious but unfortunately we had ants in our room though staff quickly reacts and helps on it.
