Always s good choice”
I remember when this piece was being built, is starting to age now but age well. The accommodation, grounds and pool are very good but the included WiFi is not the best. Breakfast is ok when the buffet is operating but I have stayed here before and breakfast was to order. There are times when Chinese tour groups stay here and they can spoil the atmosphere a fair bit due to their noisy rude and offensive behaviour.. Overall a great piece to stay if the price is right.

Old resort”
The room is old and lack of maintenance : 1. The room is quite smelly. 2. The bathroom door can not close properly. 3. The cleanliness of water is really matter as there are some dirt in the water, which is really noticeable in a jacuzzi.

Lovely setting, quiet retreat”
I was really impressed by Golden Pine Resort and Spa. Check in was a delight, the staff member on duty was friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable and set over the water so very relaxing, meals in restaurant were good and the choice of drinks adequate, Unfortunately it was very quiet while I was there, I think it would be better during a busier time. I would definitely consider it again for a special occasion.

Perfect, peaceful getaway for our family”
We live in Chiang Rai, but wanted to have a mini-vacation nearby, and the Golden Pine Resort was perfect. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, the pool was quite nice, and overall the staff were helpful and the atmosphere was peaceful. My only complaint (and this is a personal pet peeve) was the gecko poop in the bathroom.

Great value for money friendly helpful staff ”
Glad we booked this place very peaceful for us don't know if it was because of the time of year but suited us. Very friendly helpful staff and a warm welcome what ever time of day. The rooms are very good with everything you could possibly need, and a very good sized pool. Around about a 15 min drive into Chaing Rai with a fantastic night market. I would recommend this resort and spa to all.

Tropical Style Natural”
There are tropical and beautiful resort, but far from the city town of chiang mai within 30 mins by taxi.Well, there are no worry with transport as reosort provide and helping to get a taxi pick up too. Resort was close to the Long Neck Village and just behind the resort. Beside, the resort also near to Tea Plantation by taxi or plan a tour with the resort , visit toward north of chiang RAI such as Golden Triangle, Mekong river to loas .

Nicest hotel by far”
The hotel 10 mins outside Chiang Rai no problem as we had a hire car but could be problem if you don't.I seen buggies at the entrance but never asked if they were going into town.The staff very frendly and helpful the room were excellent clean cosy and spacious.We had 2 teenager chidren and they like the place which is saying something for a peacefull retreat like this,

Our stay in early December to Golden Pine was very enjoyable. Very few other tourists were there, which made for a relaxing and peaceful holiday. The rooms are modern with a traditional twist, with an excellent bath-tub overlooking the paddy fields and a lovely water feature. Didn't realise the resort was so far from the town centre (we took a tuk tuk from the bus station which is not advisable) but this was ok as we only stayed 2-3 nights. Anymore and I think we would want to eat somewhere other than the restaurant which had a limited menu, but the food was of a good standard.

Quiet and peaceful”
If you are into the nature thing and perfer hiking and site seeing verses hangin out at the beach, Chiang Rai is for you. Not too much traffic, the people are more laid back than in the beach destinations. Even downtown, the traffic isn't that bad, there are plenty of cafe's on the river that runs thru town to give you a different choice of food, no complaints...

Typical Thai stay”
We had a great stay at Golden Pine Resort. The resort is a bit far out of town but it's the only hotel surrounded by greenery. The rooms are nice and big, the bathrooms are great, maybe a bit too much mosquitos in our room. The restaurant is OK, nothing special and quite expensive. The have a free shuttle bus going to town, which is convenient. They have a nice swimming pool, but it gets in the shade quite early.

Relaxing stay”
Fourth time time here. We usually stay 5 to 7 nights or more. Pricing is usually extremely good with all the inclusions. The resort is starting to show it's age though but that is no let down. I can remember when they started to build it.. the rooms are fantastic and so is the pool. Location is a bit out of town but the turn is slowly creeping North with the new super Highway not far away. 5mins + to the airport

Great Service but expensive spa/massage”
Resort look good, have a farmer village to showcase some of the houses that people live in the past and there a chill out area facing the paddy field. Great place to stay, good service but massage and spa there could be a bit on the ex side. 950-1200baht for 1 hour massage/spa but should be worth the price, great deco compare to those cheap spa/massage houses. There are a few shop just outside the hotel where u got replenish your food and drink but nothing else to see. Need to travel out. Do request for room that have balcony/bathroom facing paddy field, you do not want to end up having a bath room facing the swimming pool.

Without a car this resort is a little outside town and its restaurants. Not much choice for food other than to eat at the resort. Pool was wonderful. Staff and room was excellent. Good value for money.

A Quiet and Relaxing Get-Away”
We truly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is just as the pictures show, the staff was very kind, the rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. It's quiet and tucked away so if you're looking to relax a bit-it's a great option. You're outside the city center, but still a good location for sightseeing as it's just in between Doi Tung, Doi Maeasalong, and the city. The only negative is that I felt the food was overpriced. It wasn't bad, but not amazing.

We felt like we were the only one's staying here which was nice. Wouldn't want to pay full price though... we paid about 30US per night and that was great value for us. Very nice rooms, they were big.

Great resort for the money, Amazing pool!”
Just as we pulled in the resort we knew it was well more than what it was worth, it looks like a 5 star resort with gardens, ponds and an amazing pool. The cottages are great with a view on a lake behind. The staff was nice and spoke good English. Definitely recommended.

Peaceful and quiet”
The beautiful and peaceful resort with good room is located pretty far from Chiangrai city, so it might be easier to rent motorbike if you want to go somewhere. The food at the resort is a little too expensive. You might feel that the staff are really helpful when you are there; they would try hard to please you, but in the mean time you might feel totally opposite as soon as you check out.

Quiet and natural”
The hotel is good, a bit older than we thought but the room was far more than adequate - big, clean with a big bath tub. There are so many trees and it felt really calm inside the hotel. We stayed in a cottage which we thought was reasonably priced.
