Hotels with gym in Hsinchu City

"Fantastic hotel within walking distance of numerous facilities within the city centre. Basic rooms are great however I upgraded after a week(thanks to Amy) for a small amount and the room I received was amazing. Staff are so friendly and would do anything for you. There is a pool and small gym on the top floor which is great. The buffet breakfast is fantastic and the Tasty restaurant is well worth a visit 5 or 6 course meals for less than 1000 TWD. If returning to Hsinchu I would definitely come back to this hotel. "

"This hotel is popular with the locals for a weekend getaway. We took the room for 4 pax and it was spacious. The hotel has an indoor pool with gym, and has play area for young kids. Located next to the Green Grass lake, a nice place for a leisurely stroll. The only con is that it is 15mins by cab to the main city area. Overall, it is a very nice stay for a weekend getaway from the city"

"The hotel is really big. The place really looks elegant. The room is really big, clean. The laundry room is nice. Except the drier is not really doing it's job well. The location is great. It's really near to the chen huang temple and night market. The hotel is just right beside the Hsinchu city hall, which is at the front of the police station and the fire rescue station. Really safe place. The breakfast is great, very abundant. They serve both chinese and western breakfast."

"my first time staying in hsinchu and i was very satisfied with this hotel. it seems to be the tallest building within hsinchu city and the interior is very comfortable. relatively large rooms, comfortable bedding, extensive dining options -room service and restaurant and basically all facilities you'd expect from a 5 star. whilst i have no experience with other hotels in hsinchu, i will stay here again when visiting hsinchu, as opposed to staying in taipei."

"I had my stay at this hotel for 15 days and i would recommend anyone who is visiting Hsinchu can book room in this hotel. Staff here is very supportive and has provided me with all the facilities needed. Also upgraded my room on my request, as i was facing difficulty with the food in the city, to a room with microwave. Breakfast is also good and everything is on time. Rooms are clean and service for room cleaning is also great. "

"This hotel is located at the heart of Hsinchu City where everything falls into place. The facade maybe look a bit old but judging thru it may not help at all coz inside the hotel compliments all,. Very much recommended to all travelers."

"The hotel staff were all very accomodating and I can tell that they are really trying to help with my inquiries and requests . Special shout out to the guy by the door who is always asking how he could help, one of the front desk personnel who went out of her way to assist on getting our party of 7 to big city mall, and one of the breakfast staff who had limited English but was so helpful that we understood each other with my very very limited Chinese."

"We have stayed few hotels in Hsinchu and Sol sits at top of my list in terms of location, room size and value for money. Breakfast was pretty average but again it is included in the price, even for the cheapest room (no window) which is great value for money if you are not too fussed about window. We stayed at Delux with a window which is pretty generous in sizes. Room services need some improvements though as every time you ask for something it takes quite some time (1-2 hour). Ambassador is much better in terms of room service however have to point it out Ambassador is a 5 star hotel so it is not apples with apples. Our advise is that if Ambassador is on special (110 AUD ish), go for Ambassador. If value for money and location are important, Sol will not disappoint."

"Love it that the hotel is conveniently located near the Hsinchu Station, the night market, convenient store, shopping, minutes from Eslite bookstore we frequent. We were told that the hotel was >20 year, didn't look it as they had a renovation in the last year. We received an upgrade from twin to a king size bed when we enquired about availability of a big bed as it was not available when we booked online. Every bit was positive about our stay. The room has modern furnishing and comfortable for 2. Our room was on the 7th floor. We noticed that the rooms on the lower levels were different, still the traditional fitting of a business hotel. So check out 7th floor onwards. The hotel has 2 locations, opposite each other. Not sure about the difference, we were in A building. Walking distance to transport, local food and shopping, malls. We took a free shuttle from one Sogo to another and watch a movie - it was not part of our plan, that day was just too chilly, and things just worked out that way."
