Great location ”

We had read the negative reviews about the small rooms and the noise from outside but we feel these are minor issues when staying in a major city. Yes the rooms were small and yes it was noisy for short periods but the location more than made up for that. Within walking distance to all major attractions which as we only had a few days, was very important to us as we wanted to make the most of our time in Rome. We had a fabulous time. Breakfast was good and a drink on the rooftop bar was a lovely way to begin your evening.

Great location, shame about the room. The levels of noise from 114 were unbearable and made it impossible to sleep. If booking this hotel, do it with great care, ask lots of questions about the location of the room otherwise do not expect to sleep.

it's a gem!”

We have stayed at the Mozart many times over the past years. I recommend it to many people who are looking for value and location. For that it cannot be beat. It is very well located for walking , shopping and sight seeing. It does not have certain luxury amenities that you may find in more expensive hotels but the staff is helpful, the breakfast adequate and there is a beautiful terrace for reading, dining or a drink that many hotels in its class do not have. There is also a comfortable sitting room for lounging or working. I will continue to always stay at the Mozart!

Location, location, location”

The location is excellent I with easy access to Metro at Spanish Steps if avoiding too much walking; breakfast selection was good for continental breakfast; staff were great

Our group was 5 older guys and the hotel moved 2 around the corner to their superior Vivaldi Rooms, after having no twin bedded room in the hotel. The Mozart was sold out during our stay. Very central location in a major street in the centre if Rome. A 20 minute leisurely walk to the Vatican along the side of the Tiber, or a stroll along the Main Street, passed the shops, to Piazza Venezia. The room was clean and always well maintained by the housemaid service. But the shower was so tiny and not what I would wish for comfort; I like to be able to turn and move!!!! The only real let down in a hotel that is still value for money, all things considered.

Good hotel but with some misgivings”

We stayed at the Hotel Mozart for five nights while in Rome. The location is very good and the hotel is clean and has many useful facilities. We were very disappointed on our first morning there to be awakened at 6.00 am by loud piped music and people having a loud conversation. We complained to two different staff me,bees at reception but nothing was done to alleviate the problem or even to explain the source of the early morning noise. In fact we were asked where we thought it was coming from!! The noise continued on all the following mornings of our stay so for people who like to get up a little later on holiday it will be difficult here. On a positive note the hotel has a good in- house restaurant where we had a very good meal on our late arrival. Our room was comfortable, breakfast was good if a bit repetitive after five days and there is a very nice rooftop bar area for relaxation in warmer weather.

Comfortable”

This hotel has everything at it's doorstep

We spent a comfortable 6 nights at the Mozart whilst we prepared for our wedding. We were very happy with the location as it is within walking distance of most the Rome's big attractions. It is also right amongst Rome's main shopping area and there is a plethora of restaurants and bars to choose from in the vacinity. The hotel puts on a great buffet breakfast. I would however comment that the service from the hotel's reception team could have been better in regards to tour advice and an unfortunate matter whereby some of our dirty laundry was disposed of by housekeeping. This was an obvious mistake but badly handled by hotel management.

Loved the hotel location and rooftop bar”

Stayed for 3 nights in the Vivaldi Suites - a few doors away from the main hotel. Don't worry if you get put in theses suites as they are perfectly fine. We didn't have any view to speak of but I had asked for a quiet room, so the view was overlooking other windows at the back of the hotel. The room was nice and had good quality bedding. It also had a nice modern bathroom with a great shower. We loved the location on Via Del Corso, as it meant we could shop and return our purchases to the room then head out again. The breakfast room was very airy and pleasant and had a nice selection. We went to the rooftop restaurant the first night and it was lovely to sit outside as the weather was warm and pleasant, although it was a bit chilly later in the evening and I need a jacket The food was okay but we had better when eating out. But it was great to come back from a long day walking about and just sit with a glass of wine on the terrace. The staff were mostly very accommodating.

Disappointing second stay at the Mozart”

Location, roof top bar, antique decor of main hotel

Our first stay at the Mozart several years ago was perfect and we were eager to return. In August 2014, we were shunted off to their annex which is a block away and totally devoid of charm or amenities. Instead of a full-service hotel including lobby, concierge, lounge with newspapers and roof top bar which we paid for, we were marched a block away to what felt like a rented room. The room had a large modern bathroom but it was totally characterless, a large white box with a bed. Seating was inadequate and the room had no decor other than a TV and one painting over the bed. Furniture was small, plain and ugly with no place to unpack. Our dismay was treated with indifference. At check-out back at the main hotel, nobody asked if we will return. We will not. A classic case of bait and switch.
