Outstanding ...Value for money”
We stayed at Savonarola for 3 nights. In this period we experienced one of the best hospitality any hotel could offer. The staff was very friendly and provided with necessary information during check-in. They also answered all the queries related to sightseeing patiently whenever I approached them. Room was simple but quite, spacious, clean and well maintained. Hotel is located about 20 minute walk from Firenze SMN station and most important sightseeing sites are in walking proximity from Hotel. Hotel is located on 2nd floor of building. Building has an elevator and hence transfer of luggage was not challenging. It has a small restaurant space which is used for serving breakfast and also as per order coffee and some ready made pasta dishes being served at extra nominal cost. The breakfast was typical continental with bread, meat, cheese, yogurt and cereals and of course coffee and tea. I would definitely reconsider staying at Savonarola anytime I visit Florence.

Fantastic small hotel in Florence”
Lovely small hotel with cool and clean rooms (nothing fancy but nice). Its on the 3rd floor of an alright building but inside it's very cute. Very friendly staff and good breakfast ! Just 10 minutes walk to the David !

Simple and very nice”
Very nice simple hotel. It's not far from the historical center, about15/20minutes of walk. We were in town for a congress, large rooms in a family runned hotel. Lots of good suggestions for restaurant at the reception.

There were several bus stops nearby so it was really convenient for us to get there from the train station. Most of the attractions were within walkable distance so we barely took the bus at all. The staffs were very helpful in showing us which were the main attractions and also gave us food recommendations which were great. The hotel was also equipped with a lift. Overall, I enjoyed the stay would highly recommend it!

Our family (total 4 pax) stay one night there. It need about 20 min walking distance to the train station. One good bar is just down stair. Room is not much space left but just good enough for 4 of us and beds. Build in shower room is extremely small and it may suitable for the slim fit body shape. Staff are very helpful and hospitality. One recommended place to stay in Florance.

Nice hotel with classic italian touch”
The size of the room for 4 is acceptable. Toilet quite small but functioning well. No big signage to indicate the hotel location. You have ro go near the building and read the list of property available within building. Hotel reception is located in 2nd floor of the building. The lift is so unique feels like i'm watching classical italian movie.

Brilliant Hotel ”
The Savonarola Hotel is a lovely little hotel for travelers to Florence. The room was large, clean and quiet. The breakfast was typical continental with bread, meat, cheese yogurt and cereals and of course coffee and tea. The Hotel is a leisurely 20 minute walk from the centre and is out of the hustle and bustle of all the tourist, in all a perfect location. Ricardo (the owner) and Tomaso were really helpful, without going into detail we had a few problems (not with the hotel by the way) and they were brilliant and helped us on our way. Without their generosity we would have had a big problem and we thank them greatly. We will certainly stay at The Savonarola when we visit Florence again.

Awesome staff & spacious room”
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Savonarola last week. After a week of shared bathrooms in hostels, the huge room and the beautifully finished private bathroom were a treat. The concierge at the hotel when we checked in did an awesome job pointing out what was nearby and worth checking out, and their restaurant recommendations were also really helpful (Trattoria ZaZa gave me one of the best meals of my life). I would definitely recommend Savonarola for anyone who wants somewhere nice and doesn't mind a bit of a walk to the main sights of Florence (about 15 minutes to the Duomo).

Two night stay”
Hotel is 20 min walk from the station and about 10 from city centre. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Staff very friendly and helpful especially Ricardo who gave us a map pointing out places of interests. He also mentioned places to eat. Two of which we went and I would also recommend. One was Zaza which is near the central market. Don't be off if there is a queue because there is plenty of seats and the queue goes down really fast. The other one was upstairs in the central market which was a food hall serving pizza, pasta, burgers, vergitarian options all made to order. Breakfast in the hotel was the usual continental option and you could eat as much or little as you liked. Food was served in the hotel but we didn't eat there as we were out all day. The bed room was very large with a TV although we never found English channels. The bathroom has a nice powerful shower. I would also recommend, if you have time, a trip to Pisa. We did this by train from Florence and it was £12 return. Make sure validate your ticket before getting on the train. I would recommend Savonarola to family friends.

I was extremely satisfied with my experience at Hotel Savonarola. Here is a summary: Pros: + Air-conditioning that can be controlled + Comfortable bed/pillows + Super clean + Amazing front desk staff!! + Good breakfast + Very close to the duomo + Close to train station + Quiet street + Elevator/lift that works well Cons: I can't think of much to complain about. The only very small issue I had was that the faucet water gets burning hot if you are not careful to include cold water. Also, I personally didn't need the daily housekeeping, but there was no "do not disturb" sign provided. But these are very minor issues. The best feature of this hotel is the very friendly and helpful staff. The gentleman at the desk told me exactly where to go for the best experience. This was a huge help, I would not have enjoyed the city as much without his advice. I highly recommend this hotel!

although the hotel is bit old but is value for money for the night stay. overall is quite satisfied. receptionist is 24 hours and thus you need to leave your room key when you going out. within my 2 nights stay in Hotel Savonarola, met 4 different front desk staffs. some are quite nice and friendly, i can't their name but some are not really that friendly. Hotel is not located in the Florence city center. quite some distance but they told me that in the City center of Florence you could just only walk. The way to explore Florence. Overall, quite a pleasant stay with Hotel Savonarola. simple breakfast provided with EUR5/pax (top up) if you have not select with the breakfast included option. credit to their breakfast service is if you need to have your breakfast earlier, just let them know and they could make it for you. (usually buffet breakfast start at 7am). keep it up for the service !

Relaxed atmosphere and GREAT service”
We stayed at hotel Savonarola two nights and it was great. Great value for money. The staff was so very friendly and helpful. They could speak English fluently. We arrived earlier before our check in time and our room was ready. Our room was nice and clean and the aircon works great!! Nice breakfast for 5euro and the bar was open all the time (staff was available 24hours) which was very convenient. Highly recommended!
