Awesome location, overrated star label”
The room walls are so thin that we could hear our neighbours as if they were in my room. The first morning the warm water was missing. Breakfast choice was adeguate. Staff wasn't over-friendly but nor were they rude: just neutral. Overall we would rate it a 2-* hotel and with that expectation the hotel is just fine. They have a pizzeria/restaurant that looks nice but we didn't manage to try it out. Location at the lake is amazing!

Hot small room”
Being it a 3-* hotel I was expecting a bit of a higher standard. The first impression when coming into the room was how small and dark it was. But then, I just had to sleep in it, not party. However, the aircon didn't work nor did the fridge. The 3 nights were quite hot. The first morning the warm water in the shower didn't flow...to be fair, it was Easter and they were fully booked so probably warm water simply ran out. The following 2 mornings the warm water was available.

Hotel very dissappointing”
Hotel Socrate is located in the perfect location, surrounded by fantastic lake views and mountain views. The hotel is tired, very 70's style. Entering teh reception you get the smell of damp, thankfully the rooms did not smell damp. I am a small person however I struggled with the tiny shower space. The room was only ok, it was clean but the ensuite was not so good with items from past travellers trapped between the shower and the sink unit, a toothbrush and some other items that were full of dust. The sealant of the shower had black patches, was not good and when you were in the shower the smell of damp began vry obvious. The shower window had a film over it in places to give privancy but it was patchy with bits of it missing allowing the outside world to look in at you while you were in the ensuite. The view of the surroundings was spectacular however the hotel grounds was tired, dirty and looked like it was not being looked after. Such a pity considering its location is perfect

Perfect. We only slept there for the nigt, didn't have time to enjoy the facilities. It's very nearby the lake. unfortunately too much traffic jam after our hard working day... But that's not the hotels mistake ;-)

Weird hotel”
Made a weekend trip with my sister and mother, the hotel was very simple, with bunkbed and really old stuff. But the place was clean. The location was not the best, or rather ponte tresa has no much to offer. Really nice service and great restaurant in the basement.

hotel mit See ausblick ”
Das eine einzige was auf minus steht sind die kaputte Lampen auf dem Balkonen. Sonst wirklich alles super. Betten, Lage, Frühstück, Ausblick, das alles was wir vom ein Hotel erwarten. Ganz sicher zum empfehlen.
