"Large room but dated by most standards. Breakfast, while seemingly plentiful, was largely disappointing. Considering the price of our stay (albeit being the busiest holiday season and thus double the usual rate) and what was provided, there are far better values elsewhere, just perhaps not in Puli, an extremely small and isolated town in the least populated county in Taiwan. This hotel seems to be the largest in town and appears to be occupied mostly by local and foreign tour groups. On the plus side, the hotel was roughly a 10-15 min. stroll to the town center which was fairly festive with plenty of restaurants and shopping. Also, the hotel provided free indoor and outdoor parking. "

"Very pleasant stay for one night here. The hotel staff were very helpful, rooms were very comfortable and luxurious. WiFI worked well, even in the outside cabin, but probably also in the main building. Breakfast was basic, but good. The location is very out-of-the-way, which means you will need a car to come here, and some of the roads are *very* "local," but it is also extremely quiet. I hope to stay here again someday if I ever return to Puli. 9.5/10"

"Our plan in Nantou was to visit Sun Moon Lake on day 1, then stay at Puli and visit Cingjing farm on day 2. So we needed just a centrally located hotel in Puli to sleep 1 night. That's exactly what this hotel offers. A clean, huge room (I think they gave us the family room), simple breakfast in the morning. The beds were a bit hard, that's something the hotel could improve upon. The hotel has a tie-up with a private car park about 5 minutes walk from the hotel, which is were we parked the car. There are some local restaurants nearby as the hotel is located on one of the main roads in Puli."

"Overall pleasant. However, hotel caters primarily to tourist groups, especially those from mainland China. Breakfast buffet can be busy during "peak" hours i.e., before 8:00 a.m. Bed sheets and towels are of average quality. Fitness center opens from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. so workout hours are limited. Check out time is 11:00 a.m. so that may be inconvenient. Hotel was not able to accommodate my request for a 12:00 p.m. checkout. "

"This place was very nice and clean in the country side. Perfect for people who wants to get out of the city and experience country living. At night you can hear the frogs singing from the fields next door. It's just very relaxing to stay here. The host was very nice and friendly. They serve big portion and delicious breakfast. It was just a very good experience to stay here. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend. "

"Stayed at Puli Story House for only one night. It was a short night, however, the time spent in this place was superb. This place is the best within Puli's Town. Not only are the staffs friendly and helpful. They serve a very good hearty breakfast in the morning. In addition, the facilities in each room were spectacular with a build-in Jacuzzi and Sauna! Not even many hotels have these facilities and they have it! The house was also specially designed and built by the owner. It is relatively new (2 years), with all the internal furniture that made the atmosphere really cosy. I would greatly recommend this place to those dropping by Puli. There is also a 7 eleven across the street. "

"This hotel is currently under renovation however we were not disturbed at all. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. The room seems to be recently renovated, nicely done. Well priced. The only small setback is that the windows does not have screens. Some insects and mosquitos flew in when we opened the windows. Will stay again and recommend to friends."
