"Stayed here for 4 nights with my parents and absolutely loved everything about this hotel ! Pros- just a walking distance from all the places of interest in HCMC (strategic location, really convenient) - many food choices available around the area - although the hotel is in district 1, it's not as noisy during nighttime - excellent service from the staff, everyone was really kind and courteous to us - breakfast was good for the size of the hotel restaurant, although food during afternoon tea can be slightly improved (more variety in food and drinks) - our room (we booked the executive one) was really spacious and lovely Cons- air conditioner takes a while to make the room feel cold - didn't really like the layout of the bathtub, water could easily spill out and cause puddles on the floor All in all, would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone coming to HCMC ! Great service and affordable prices. Cheers :) "

"I stayed for 4 nights at the hotel. The hospitality by the staffs were awesome, and genuine. Even tough I booked the no breakfast option for my room, we were given breakfast for the entire stay, gesture of goodwill as the hotel was recently opened. Only downside during the stay was the hot water shower pressure was not stable, so occasionally getting too hot or too cold. Overall, a pleasant stay. Getting a Grab to everywhere was convenient and cheap. "

Fusion Suites Saigon

"The Fusion suites is a great boutique style hotel with a certain quirkiness about it.Staff were very friendly especially Long who helped us with our restaurant bookings as we were a group of 7. The rooms were very stylish the beds super comfy but could have done with some more lighting. One great service is the free spa treatment per day included in the price which turned out to be one of the best massages we had on our whole trip. Breakfast was good as was the coffee shop although sadly the Poke Bar wasnt in use when we were there the day before Tet ( New Year) Would definetely recommend it as a great place to stay in Saigon "

"Honestly, look no further. Most of the time I am really fussy. I need two rooms as I was travelling with my husband and two grown sons, therefore, was looking for something reasonably priced. I found it with this hotel. I loved the homely decor of the rooms, especially because the 3 men in my family were very ill whilst there so having somewhere nice to stay made it a little more pleasant. We booked two Jnr. Suites on Agoda two days out and got a really reasonable price also. The only negative I would give would be the smell in the foyer area; its very strong and overbearing. Also, try the massages; there was a 30% discount happening whilst we were there, which made them great value and I had two of the best massages I've ever had in my life. Just book it as it is great value for a 4 star hotel."

Scandinavian Apartment with Balcony in Bui Vien
District 1,Poki Poki Restaurant - View on map
"where to begin.... the apartment itself isn't bad, 2 bedroom. 2 bathroom, kitchen -- all decent the street access/stairwell has no markings, is very dingy and poorly lit. Now lets talk about the stairs going up---feels like you are climbing for days -- 4 stories, no lift--a real trek to go up and down. We had many issues in the short time we were there, no water/shower for the first day and 1/2, no remote or way to turn of the air con that was on full blast (it was so bad/cold that we couldn't even sleep in the bedroom--we had to sleep in the living room sofa/floor) and finally the hallway outside the apartment flooded! All this and we were only there 2 nights! One thing I can speak positively of was the work of the staff, (Wayne, i believe)-- he tried his very best to fix/address every issue we had, even though it fell short."

"Don't think twice just book it. Felt like a home away from home with the fabulous and attentive staff. Kieu (as seen in photo) and Hiên went above and beyond to help me with whatever I needed and became more friends then anything else. The men that worked the door were also great and the cleaning staff did their jobs extremely professionally. I stayed for 2 weeks (my brother then joined for another week) in a room facing the street and I couldn't have been happier. The room was very spacious and the bed was large and very comfortable (not like other hard mattresses often found). Also the room was very clean (cleaned meticulously daily), had a good working aircon and the window overlooking the street was just huge which I loved. It was also quiet when the window was closed. Big selling point for me was also the big rainwater shower. It is 2min walk to Ben Thanh Market and Bui Vien St (nightlife), but just far enough away to be peaceful. Minimart 150m away. Bang for your buck. Thank you"

New World Saigon Hotel
District 1,Poki Poki Restaurant - View on map
"The New World Saigon Hotel is not as fancy as our Five Star hotels in the USA. But, the Night Manager, Mr. Huynh Van Thinh, makes you feel like you have just arrived at the finest New York hotel. Without much hassle, he helps you get an incredible deal at his hotel where he worked tirelessly, loyally for over 20 years. The New World Saigon Hotel has great restaurants, including their all-you-can-eat seafood buffet that can only be matched by those in the great American dining cities like San Francisco or Las Vegas. Mr. Nguyen Huy Cuong, their young, yet Chanel-like charismatic, Lounge Supervisor, who recently got married, and his courteous staff make their piano lounge really stand out and feel as hospitable as our Maui's finest lounges. Of all the great people who make the New World Saigon Hotel so great, I must tell you that their Bell Boy, Mr. Diec Quoc Thuan, makes the New World Saigon Hotel a genuine, world-renowned FIVE-STAR hotel. He is always most eagerly helpful with your heavy bags and anything else that he can help you with. And, he does it with the biggest, sweetest, never-fading boyish smiles. He is so helpful that you forget that you are on a very tight budget vacation and you have to give him a big tip. [By the way, the Bell Boys in Saigon do not make a lot of money, so please remember to tip the helpful, smiling Bell Boys generously.] Even though I am now staying at much cheaper hotels to better support my long stay in Saigon, I visit the New World Saigon Hotel often to entertain my international missionary friends from all over the world and my local friends from all over Vietnam. And, they all absolutely love what this national “treasure” in hospitality has to offer every single day. When you are in Saigon, you must visit the New World Saigon Hotel to better understand why the most ingenious, most inspiring people of Saigon will soon make this historic city one of the most promising, most preferred destinations in the world."

EdenStar Saigon Hotel & Spa
District 1,Poki Poki Restaurant - View on map
"As a frequent visitor to HCMC for business, I have stayed in at least 10 different 3 to 5 stars hotels in HCMC over the past year. Many are good but every one of them is lacking in an area like service or facilities, or is just too expensive for what they provide. I don't write reviews but felt inclined to do so based on what is undooubtly my best hotel stay experience in HCMC. Eden Saigon is new and there are a few minor teething problems as can be expected. The location is good but certainly not the best compared to the up market opera tourist area. But none of these matters. The management and staff has to be congratulated for the best service I have ever received in any HCMC hotels bar none beating out much better known and much more expensive high end 5 stars establishments. The architecture and design is elegantly understated by Vietnamese standards with an impressive grand lobby and 12th floor pool and bar not to be missed for the incredible views. Most importantly, the room is elegant, warm and comfortable, equipped with everything one needs with a few extra touches that makes the difference between good and excellent....and I stayed in the lowest end room. I have no doubt Eden Saigon will flourish if they continue their impeccable service and maintain their facilities, and do not look forward to the day when their rates catch up with their reputation. In the meantime, I am going to enjoy not staying in a different hotel everytime, now that I have found the one perfect for me."

Homestead Parkview

"I tried this hotel per the recommendation of my friend with a booking for my family (myself, my partner and my two daughters). We checked in the studio room as my booking. We realized later that night that the room was facing an open theatre and the noice was unbearable until late, i.e 11.30pm. When I went out the next morning, I told the reception about the noice without the intention of requesting for another room. But when we returned to the hotel before lunch, the reception asked me if we'd like to change to another room which will be quieter. Then they helped us with changing to a 1-bed room apt, which is much more spacious and quieter. Before this happened, I already had the impression of professionalism by the staff of the hotel when we came up for breakfast. That's compared to several local hotels of the same standard (4*). Sometimes, in other hotels, it became quite irritating to have breakfast next to a group of staffs chatting about their own personal stuffs. In this hotel, we were attended promptly and with appreciation, even when we had our request for additional blanket very late at night. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back for the 1-bed room apt next time."
