We have a great time here despite of the wet weather. The staff is very helpful. The Vietnamese cooking is delicious. Hotel may need to add more variety of western food to please difficult western travellers. However, the food is great for my family much better than many high price hotels in US. Hotel may need to add more variety of western food to please difficult western travellers. However, the food is great for my family much better than many high price hotels in US. The river and the Trang Tien Bridge are nearby. We have great view from our room balcony. Hue is a beautiful city with many potential for tourists. The citadel is so big and very interesting for discovery. The tour guides however, need to be trained to provide more poetic and romantic information for visitors rather than just the statistic and dry history only.

We checked in late at night after returning to Hue City from our long day Paradise Cave Tour. We were delighted to see how beautiful and elegant the Gerbera Hotel is with its spacious lobby, restaurant/bar, large and colorful lanterns hanging from a high ceiling at the reception area. The ever-changing multi-colored lights of the Trung Tien bridge was a wonderful sight at night. We slept well in the comfort of our room that night after an exhausting trip from Phong Nha Ke-Bang. The buffet breakfast at the restaurant near the poolside was OK. Staying at the Gerbera Hotel Hue will always be a memorable and rewarding experience.

The Saigon Morin is a beautiful hotel in excellent location in Hue. The hotel is full of history going back to the late 1800s. It is located right across from a park on the Perfume River. There is a night market at the park (mostly art & craft stuff). The hotel is also a couple blocks from "Pho Tay" (Westerners Street), where many foreign travelers frequented the sh...The Saigon Morin is a beautiful hotel in excellent location in Hue. The hotel is full of history going back to the late 1800s. It is located right across from a park on the Perfume River. There is a night market at the park (mostly art & craft stuff). The hotel is also a couple blocks from "Pho Tay" (Westerners Street), where many foreign travelers frequented the shops and restaurants here. We did manage to walk to the Imperial City, but it is quite a distance. If you cross "Truong Tien" Bridge, on the other side is a Co-Op Supermarket where you can buy everything you need (all prices are marked). Some of the rooms in the Saigon Morin itself however are in the need of renovation/update. We actually had to change rooms twice due to issues with the AC units. All of our rooms were just huge. The furniture were tastefully decorated. The hardwood floors were all just beautiful, however, some were seriously scratched and dented. Overall, clean rooms although dated. The included breakfast in the outside courtyard was wonderful. I would rate the ambience and setting as the best part of my stay. The food was average with the usual pastries, bacon, and a mix of Vietnamese dishes including "bun bo Hue" (specialty of Hue).

My stay at Home was awesome. My room was to die for. The balcony and its view was the best part and a big enough bed to fit a tall 185cm guy. When I arrived to Hue I looked at 9 different hotels and my gut feeling told me to book this one and it wasn't wrong! The staff are really the ones who pump life into this place. Really awesome dudes run the place Tim and Top. They really know what they are doing and they even have their own jeep and motorbike tour bussiness, Hue Adventures. They'll help you with anything and get you to any place where you would like to visit. Also breakfest was a delight. You order from a menu whatever you like. I recommend the banana pancake! If I have to think of one bad thing to say is that the bathroom door was a bit wonky, but since I was travelling alone it didn't matter to me. Really a hidden gem this place and I see a bright future for these guys running this place. Great job!
