TOTALLY DISSAPOINTED!!!!!!”
A hotel located at the outskirts of florence, I want to say good f you arrived by car, because it is not definetely near the bus or train station, but no really a good idea if you arrived by car, because even when they anounce themselves as free Parking available... that is totally no thrue, for a 144 rooms 30 spots of parking available, and but for a "small" charge, they can offer a private parking spot under roof, but this is not free. keeping up with more dissa´pointment...this is a hotel located in a very touristy CITY, with a lot of museums and places to visit, and the hotel 4 stars anounce that they have a pool, what they dont say is the poolis not for use, because if you are visiting the city, YOU CAN NOT GO TO SWIMM in the mornings, before you get ready to visit the city, because the pool is located beside the restaurant and IT DOESNT LOOK NICE for the people having foodto see someone swimming, and then after a long day visiting museums in the middle of the summer you may dream of getting in the pool to refresh yourself....SO DISSAPOINTED, YOU CAN NOT GO SWIMMING, because they are serving dinner and it doesnt look nice.... but good news you can go swimming between 10:00am and 5:00pm, because that´s the time in which museums are open, and people go to visit places and then you dont bother anyone, and it doesnt look bad, and also very interesting, that the hotel is a conference hotel, so people come to a sseminar which normally are run from 9-10 am to 5-6pm, and then you can relax..... ohhh wait NOT, you CAN NOT GO SWIMMING before 11 or after 7, because it looks bad.... It is like the hotel isin themiddle of nowhere, and there is nothing to do during the day, so after breakfast, you stayed allday at the hotel and go swimming. personal was not nice at all.... I really wouldn´t come back.

Con.: room A/c is making noice. As an mechanical engineer, i know the bearing problem is not new. This is very old problem and they act as this is very new problem. They did not change the room. Provided fan it was hot and no sleep.

If you are in Florence for a holiday and you want to ruin it, this hotel is the perfect place for you. We stayed here in last month. The hotel location is far from main tourist spots .This hotel has got no cleanliness. Room was stinking bad. To top it toilet flush was not working. The staff makes false promises about partial refunds which they will later manipulate. Only the breakfast was partial saviour in the stay. Overall not at all recommended.

I was upgraded from a standard room to an executive room for free. A surprisingly large and comfortable room, after warning my traveling companion of the size of European hotels. The staff offered advice and help before I thought of asking. I've read many reviews relating the rudeness of staff at many Italian hotels. I've found that most Italians aren't generally rude but grow more impatient as the number of our requests grow. So if you come to Italy prepared they are more than happy to help you over the bumps that occur. On the other hand if you expect to be spoon fed every step of the way you'll encounter a lot of "rude" Italians.

Our stay in florence overall was lovely how ever upon arrival to the hotel the staff were not very friendly or helpful. We didnt get a map of the city or any information in our room about the hotel regarding surrounding areas and thibgs to do and see.

Nice comfortable hotel”
originally our "backup" hotel, the holiday inn has now become the main hotel during our periodic stays to florence simply because of its convenience, comfort, around some stores and eateries and has a large car park you can always find a spot in. service was quick and efficient, but not something you would exactly say "friendly". overall, it was ok because they gave us all the assistance we asked for without any hint of displeasure as we have experienced in some other more expensive establishments. if you're hungry, there's a pizza store right outside the hotel.

We loved the hotel itself but the booking was meant to be for two separate rooms not two doubles in the same room. There was three of us traveling together and one person snored so we were all looking forward to our own space. The location was great though and a well recommended break whilst on the way to Rome. Staff were lovely. Room clean.

A good stopover hotel in Florence”
The hotel is a standard hotel in Florence area. The price is relatively cheap for Florence area. It has several restaurants, shops, and pizza kiosk nearby. The room is ok in term of sizes. The hotel is outdated. You can see some of furnitures need to be replaced.

Very bad restaurant, Eur 15 to be there from city”
I think Italiana Hotels Florence is a clean and comfortable hotel. However, the restaurant was just pissed me off. I don't want to mention a lot about this, but except the service and food quality restaurant not too bad.

Spacious rooms, good breakfast but a little far from centre, but bus stop is near by therefore easy to access city centre and return back to hotel. Near also many good restaurants.

Great Hotel, away from city centre”
Room size was great, unable to use the fridge for personal items as minibar is sensored. The hotel's location is out of the city and requires a 15-20min bus ride. Once the bus timetable and bus stop locations are sorted it's easy to work your way into town. Did make it harder to stay in town late in evening, but hotel restaurant provides very good meals and staff are very accomodating. Only a few cafes and restaurants around the hotel area.

Basic room but great service”
easy access by car from autostrada, receptionist very polite and always trying to help, giving lots of information and tips about sightseeing the city and surroundings. great breakfast with variated meal. although the room is basic type, for short stay is reasonable and cost effective. car parking is not a problem, and to sightseeing the city can just park in the city parking places, it's more convenient, or take the bus near the hotel, the receptionist provided all the information we needed.

Quiet location, good hotel”
We stayed there fore two nights and enjoyed it. This hotel is a bit outside the city center, but has good bus connections, which get you downtown in 10 minutes. The rooms are fairly new and have everything you need. Only problem was that internet was not working in the room (lobby only).

Clean hotel”
hotel was clean and comfortable. far from the city center so we had to take a bus to the hotel. there was a swimming pool, but wasn't working. we arrived late, just 15 minutes to 10 pm. there is nothing open around the hotel after 10 pm. luckily there was a pizzeria near the hotel so we had something to eat.
