A great guesthouse close to the train station”
The room was large with plenty of light. The bathroom was bright and clean with an excellent shower. The large bed was comfy with white linen and plump pillows. Lots of shelf space but no wardrobe, not that it mattered. A fridge with a freezer compartment. Great aircon and international channels on the tv. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast menu is good and the food well presented, with a selection of beverages, served in a lovely cafe on the ground floor. The staff go out of their way to help, they made us up a takeaway breakfast due to an early morning departure to catch the train.

Pleasant stay”
I loved this old style hotel. Very nastalgic with a large and clean room. There were a few English television channels too. Well located with a small bar across the street. It doesn't look like a bar when closed during the day. Room included breakfast. Don't go for the egg, bread and sausage breakfast (#1 I think) because it's quite skimpy on portions. Instead, choose one of the Thai rice dishes....much bigger portions. Staff was great except one on the breakfast staff (smaller young lady) acted like she didn't want to be there. WIFI wasn't good. Car parking in the back through the hotel entrance. I would definitely stay there again.

Convenient as it is located near the railway station. Good breakfast. Staff is friendly. The room (I had a single room) is spacious, clean, the bed is large. Felt a little bit creepy as I didn't see any other guest and the hotel is just a big building with no special decoration. But that's ok.

The restaurant seems to have good prices. Going to try the steak tonight. Also it's a bakery, many cakes and desserts. The hotel is close to the Market next to the railroad. That is the big market. There is another market at the bridge. Easy to walk to. Good location. 711's all over the place. 2 are next to the railroad market.

ok for a night to crash”
A bed with a bathroom. Fine for a late night train trip stopover from bkk-cmx. Super small room (12x12), decent breakfast selections, typical extra firm mattress, good location next to train station and night bazaar. You get nickel-n-dimed if you ask for anything extra. Not a super comfy room but fine for an overnight, no frills. (I moved to another hotel the next night and it was well worth the extra 200 baht for a far nicer place, imo.)

The hotel has seen better days, and particularly on the second floor the doors and corridors are beat up and give an unwelcome feeling. It's been my go-to place for more than 30 years because of the convenient location, but might have to reconsider next time.

Great location in the centre of town”
Great location in the centre of town, but... That also means that at night/ early mornings there is always traffic passing by if you are sleeping at the front end of the building which looks out one of the main roads in town. The room is spacious, clean, has a hot shower and a good air-conditioning, but the only complaint I have is that there where a lot of mosquitoes inside the room. I have no idea where they were coming in, but we are talking about at least 20-30 mosquitoes. If this gets fixed then this is a 4 star hotel. Kind regards to the friendly staff.

Place you have to avoid”
Horrible dark stairway and corridor just like the way to the cell in prison. You will finally find yourself behind the bar when you actually get to room as all windows are blocked by Iron bars. It stinks a lot all day long from rest room. Wife comes on and off during daytime and absolutely unaccessible at night. Staffs are all busy treating customers in cafe downstairs. No frontdesk service available to hotel guests. They advertise buffet for breakfast in agoda but you can only choose one poor dish from separate menu. It was like nighmare during stay

A good option for a few days. I complained the first day because my bedclothes were not clean though. They changed them. It was good after that.
