                Locanda Del Feudo is set within the ancient walls of Castelvetro, 20 km south of Modena. It offers charming suites and a restaurant with a wide selection of vintage wines. Suites at Del Feudo come with free Wi-Fi access and satellite TV. Each suite has a spacious lounge with a CD/DVD player. Breakfast is available buffet style and features fresh seasonal fruit and homemade cakes and jams. You can take cookery classes and book gastronomic tours in the area.                 Location was great for us as it is located close to central station. Pillows and linens left much to be desired and would have been extremely bothersome if we had been staying more than one night. Otherwise, everything was great.

                The room was super spacious, with a separate living room. Sparkling clean. AC only in the living room, but it's a good split machine and did the trick... The restaurant is really really superb. Haute cuisine with fresh local high quality ingredients. One of the best meals we had in the region. Andrea, Eduardo and all the staff are super attentive and friendly. Location is perfect to explore the small Borgos of the region. Short drive to Modena and to Bologna. Wi-FI worked. Good shower. We did not know the property had a small elevator - so useful to bring luggage upstairs! Breakfast was delicious, fresh eggs on demand and house made pastries. Totally recommend Locanda del Feudo if you're looking for an authentic off the beaten track experience in a gorgeous Medieval village that is home to great Lambrusco wine!
                We were unaware that there was a Lambrusco wine street festival happening on the weekend we were there. It made parking extremely difficult, and even reaching the village at night by car nearly impossible. We were guided and saved by our super host Andrea that directed us through side streets over the phone. The festival also brought a lot of noise to a very quiet little village. Street party sounds till 1 AM coming through our windows. It is not their fault at all, and it DID NOT ruin our stay. But I recommend double checking if there are any festivals happening during your stay. You might have a good time or change plans, according to your mood and taste. Same goes for any village or town in the area, since street festivals abound :-) The room decor could be a little more charming and cozy. Walls and furniture are basically white, there are no rugs or paintings on the walls... But again, it's very comfortable and clean!

                I chose this location because we were visiting the Ferrari Museums. I really was not sure what to expect. The little village was charming, the room was clean and comfortable (but simple), but the hotel was really charming, breakfast was really good, and dinners were FANTASTIC! The staff was helpful, friendly and made our stay very nice!
                I really think that since the hotel is so charming and quaint, that the rooms could be made a little more charming, rather than spartan. With that being said, our stay was very comfortable!

                This is a gem. Nice, beautiful, calm and relaxing hotel/Locanda in an old, charming building with nice surroundings. I loved everything, but the most outstanding thing was the staff. They are welcoming, helpful, respectful and really make sure you enjoy your stay and are observant to little details, La Locanda has a restaurant with a Michelin star and I hade an outstanding dinner there, so so good. Be sure to stay more than one night here!

                Arriving in this wonderful small town is an adventure of its own. Finding this gem of a hotel in the center of the old town is just fantastic! Add a perfect restaurant, and the experience is perfect. The supper and breakfast is first class, and the staff is extremely helpful, and eager to make you feel comfortable.
                The stairs are poorly illuminated. It is easy to remedy.

                The breakfasts were over the top. Dinner was elegant. The restaurant will have a Michelin star one day soon. This is all a reflection of the talented and attentive staff. Andrea, Eduardo and Priya made us feel at home. They assisted us in so many ways, and without the lightest bit of stuffiness.
                It would have been better to stay longer. A great location for quiet touring.

                we have been before and loved staying in the old walled town
                I booked and it showed only 2 rooms available a classic and deluxe suite for 20 euros per night more so I called the hotel and the lady informed me best to book on line through booking.com which we did! our rooms were exactly the same! upon leaving I discussed this and was told they only advertise one of each room! I had called the hotel for that reason anyhow since the 6 room hotel was empty I was disappointed they did not adjust the rate!

                The entire staff made us feel so welcome, special and spoiled. We cannot say enough wonderful things about everyone at this property. Everyone was very accommodating. It was literally the best meal we’ve ever had.
