We stayed at Moonshine initially for 2 nights and then extended for another 3 days because it was so lovely. We payed a great price compared to other options and were so impressed by the rooms. Note there are tents here but they have a good # of rooms that are not tents. Like 15 of them or so. The rooms were so great. The bed is quite firm which we didn't mind but the best part is how big it is. The bathroom had the biggest shower area we have seen in a while! The kitchenbar area offers free cookies and drinks with a nice selection and you can order food and drinks though I would recommend going out and enjoying the many restaurants not that far of a drive away. We went to a place that had amazing crab cakes in the area. Oh! And the pool is lovely, all the rooms open out onto the pool and the rooms all have an outdoor seating area that is semi-private. And you can go into it at any hour. We highly recommend it.

Very friendly and convenient”
Great place to stay as a family of 5. We stayed in the deluxe family room, with 2 large king beds. Plenty of room for all of us. Impeccably clean and lovely pool, the boys loved it! Perfectly placed for a night after a day train from Bangkok and before an afternoon ferry to Koh Tao. Super friendly owners and free transfer to the Lomorayah ferry. Recommended!

Exceptional”
Fantastic new place with rooms or tents. We prefer the beautifully furnished tents with aircon. Fantastic swimming pool. Great price, great food but bring your own wine or cocktail material if you want more than beer. 1km from Lomprayah Pier. Very friendly staff, very clean and right across the street from a very quiet beach.

Very friendly and comfortable resort, great design and huge pool”
We only spent a night here on the way way to Koh Tao but would have been very happy staying a few days. The tents are very well designed for comfort, even air con and tiled floors, really well constructed place and something very different to other places we've started in Thailand. Also super friendly hosts! Would certainly return.

A convenient location with excellent customer care”
My partner and I stayed one night here and were very happy with the warm customer service and the proximity of the Lomphraya Ferry pier. What’s more is that the staff went above and beyond one week later when we got stranded at an out of the way restaurant in Chumphon and had no way to get to the hotel we had booked for the evening. When no one else could help, the staff at Moonshine arranged a taxi for us and saved the day. We are so thankful for the kind people at this hotel!

The Place was nice!!!”
Just want to let you know the place was nice and clean. It was near to beach, this hotel lent us bicycles for us to strolling around! The staff is really nice and help us to transfer to the pier in early morning. And for the room was nice and still new property!

absolutely amazing ”
luna (the host) was amazing, she was very friendly and welcoming, the tents are adorable and cozy, the AC works very well. we missed or ferry going to koh tao so needed a place to crash for the night, took a dip in the pool and used their bikes (avai;able for guests) to ride to the nearby temple. for dinner, the staff prepared a delicious custom dinner, and in the morning they provided transportation to the ferry pier. overall beautiful facility with excellent vibes

Great Value, Nice Place”
I stayed one night in a single tent. I had an early ferry and the resort is located very close to the ferry terminal, but far enough away that you don't hear or see any of the traffic (boat or car). The tent room was simple but very clean and well designed. For the price I couldn't imagine much better. I didn't use the pool, but it looked very nice. I didn't eat there, so I can't comment on the food. But the staff were friendly and helpful.

Good but needs improvement in food”
Staff were nice in general and I would recommend to stay here if you're catching the ferry. The staff gave me a lift to the pier which was really helpful as there's no grab here. The room is clean and nice, has air conditioning. The downside is the food. I had ordered tofu and mushroom with rice. And when the dish came, only one mushroom (sliced) and few tofu pieces mixed with tiny amount of carrot and rest are rice. When I asked for more vegetables, they offered reduced price. Then I asked again, and the kitchen lady came and said it's free. I arrived from the airport without dinner and was hungry so just wanted to eat, but not just rice. The staff are nice about it but the food can be improved significantly, especially on the portion size of the dish. Also they have construction going on during the day. Other than that, good place to stay over before the ferry in the morning for me.
