The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful with whatever requests/questions we had. Location of the hotel is perfect too. The only con I can think of would be the wifi connectivity was pretty bad in the room. All in all, highly recommend this hotel!

Overall great location. But very disappointed with mosquitoes buzzing in our room. We were woken up 3 to 4 times throughout the night. Crazy. Totally unacceptable for a luxe hotel. You should really do something about the state of mozzies in your hotel. My room is 212. Fix it or lose your customers.

That famous truffle hotel !”
I really really wanna go back to Florence so bad, and of course, I will choose to stay at NH Collection Firenze Porta Rossa again. For me, this hotel is 5 star value for money. As for the location is in the center of this shopping area. You go left, and you will find those high-end brands like Ferragammo, Celine, etc. Yo go right, and you will find super nice crepes and chocolate ala Firenze. You go straight, and you will find Zara, H&M, and those super affordable brands. Even if you stay at the hotel, they have this famous truffle restaurant in the whole of Florence (I forgot the name of it), but everything is all about truffle. The room itself is not small, super cozy and romantic and cleaaannn !

Great location and wonderful hotel”
We really enjoyed our stay at the NH Collection Porta Rossa. The location was ideal for being in Florence and walking everywhere. The staff was very friendly and the room was wonderful. We appreciated a free upgrade for being new customers. One caution for weary travelers: Just outside the hotel doors is a nice gelateria. We arrived late, like 11pm, and were so happy to have arrived we immediately purchased gelato. The gentleman at the gelateria GREATLY overcharged us- but being new and tired we didn't think about it until later. That was a bit of a disappointment. But not the hotel's fault...just a caution for nearby. 🙂

Fabulous hotel in central Florence”
Had a fantastic stay at the NH Porta Rossa. Beautiful hotel with very comfortable rooms, a great mix of the historic and modern. Great central location made it easy to pop back to the hotel in the middle of the day for a little break. Fantastic staff, very friendly and very happy to help with restaurant bookings and suggestions. Fabulous breakfast, great quality and variety. Rooms on the 5th floor are quiet, deluxe rooms are a great size and have a lot of character. Couldn't ask for a better hotel, will definitely return again.

Centrally located and large clean room”
This hotel is close to shops and attactions, it is only a 10 min walk to the Milan Central station. Centrally located, it is an ideal base for exploring Florence. The rooms are large, clean and modern. The buffet breakfast has a good variety of breads and juices. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay in NH Porta Rossa.

Fantastic hotel in a great location”
We stayed at this hotel for the new year with a couple of old friends of ours. Firstly the hotel is bang n the centre of everything, 10 min walk to practically all the sights and the best restaurants. We stayed in one of the junior suites - nice big room which was recently redecorated, also consisted of a high vaulted ceiling with a beautiful fresco painting on it. Comfortable bed and pillows too. Hotel was spotlessly clean and the service at reception, breakfast and bar was simply 5 star. Coming in on the glass door you will see a sign painted in the glass hundreds of years ago " non dormi Mai" ( never sleep), this is also repeated in the ceiling at the reception area. I asked the receptionist why it was there and he explained that this hotel used to be a house of a rich merchant who once Purposly invited all his competioni for a party on the night a big ship full of wool or silk was arriving to Firenze. He drugged his guests to sleep so he can buY all the goods on the ship at a good price since No one turned up except himself - this Made him super rich - great story to go with the great history of the city This is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Florence - you will not be disappointed!

A most unexpected surprise”
As we entered NH Porta Rossa , we were greeted with Old World ambiance. We were informed it was the oldest hotel in Florence until it was purchased by the NH group of hotels. Thus explains the transition to a modern and sleek ambiance as we entered our room. The rooms tastefully done, minimalist and organised. The location was perfect as it was a busy street by day and a quiet one by night. The staff is the hotel's greatest asset. They were patient in explaining directions, and recommended very good restaurants--especially an excellent one that served a glorious Bistecca Fiorentina. We will be back next year!

Amazing hotel in Florence!”
Have stayed there for 3 nights. Excellent location! 10 mins walk from Firenze SMN station and so close to major attractions, shops and resturants. In arrival we've been told that we have got a free upgrade from superior room to junior suite which is really a suprise for us! Nice staff that speak good english. it's like an art/design hotel and there's good decoration in lobby, corridor and of course in the room. We've a room on the 1st floor but luckily it's facing the back so we don't have the noise problem. The room is spacious with big comfortable bads. Breakfast is definately of high standard using Italy standard with egg/becon, lots of juice, fruit, bread/cake, coffee, etc.

Very convenient but very loud.”
Our room had Windows towards Porta Rossa street and it was pretty loud at night time. Young people screaming until around mid night and even if you close the window you can still hear it. But other than that, facility is clean and staff is very friendly. Maybe I would stay here again if they offer a room which is not facing the street.

Very nice and satisfactory”
It was a nice hotel in a perfect location. Close to everything such as the Old bridge, shopping districts etc. Price is very reasonable for such a location. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who want to visit Florence. We spent 7 nights in this hotel and still think it wasn't enough.

Excellent location, comfortable hotel”
It was a pleasant stay, though i would advise getting a higher floor if possible as Via Porta Rossa can be a bit noisy and the cigarette smoke from passer bys can waft up to the room .

The hotel is located within walking distance to every major attraction in Florence, various shopping areas and some wonderful Tuscan restaurants nearby. The staff is very helpful in making suggestions of places to visit and shop, and helped in making restaurant reservations. The rooms are huge, spacious and clean. Parking garage valet is available just at the back of the hotel.

Great location and lovely room”
The hotel is located in a great location where shopping and sightseeing attractions are within 5 to 10 minutes walk. The hotel room is very spacious and it's nicely fitted out. The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. We got a free upgrade to the Junior Suite because it's our first time to Florence.
