Brilliant place to stop”
We stayed at NH Hotel Genova Marina as a last-minute booking en route to Tuscany. When we arrived the room had been upgraded as there were no executive doubles left. We were not charged for our child - as it was just for a night she slept in the enormous bed with us, and breakfast was included for all three in our booking price. Breakfast was great - a wide selection of food and drinks in a beautifully designed restaurant with terrace. The location is amazing - right by the Aquarium (we could see the Dolphins with their keeper from our table at breakfast, and from our room!) and with a galleon ship moored right outside. For us weary travellers with a five-year-old in tow, it was a real bonus to have things to do whilst we re-charged for the next leg of our journey. Genova has a frenetic energy, full of quirky sights and people. Porto Antico, where the hotel is, has a good mix of sophistication and old-world vibe with a child-friendly and relaxed sensibility. We were lucky to find it and will choose it again. From us it comes highly recommended.

Cruise with start in Genoa old city center”
Before the Start of our cruise in Mediterranean we booked one night in NH Collection Marina hotel. the hotel is situated near the marina yacht port and walking distance from the old city center . The location is actually very convenient 500 m from city center, with numerous nice sights and monuments and shops. The hotel is also at about 800 m from the Cruise terminal and that is why it is very easy to stay there if you had to travel day before. The staff is pleasant and helpful to show all the interesting sights, the hotel has well furnished rooms in style with all amenities. Furthermore the hotel has a very pleasant restaurant with views over the waterside. All in All in excellent location, easy accessible by Volabus from airport in 15 min, by walk to city or to Cruise terminal and by walk to some of the main tourist attractions, (if you dont mind to walk 500m or 1000m). The Genua city is very pleasant and very wellcoming to tourists. (Be careful with traffic when crossing the road.

A nice hotel with great breakfast”
The hotel is centrally located, you could go to any point of interest in walking distance. The view is expected to be better as we could not enjoy a very good marina view while we were assigned a lower floor room facing the partial port. Staff are helpful and nice, they speak good English. The breakfast is wonderful, a spacious and nicely furnished restaurant with a great variety of food and drinks. Will definitely stay here if in Genova again.

The hotel was nice the bathroom and the bed but the air condition was not that cold while the weather is hot in Genova these days but the balcony view was worth it and the location of the hotel was a walking distance from the marina... Over all I would go there again.

Jolly Hotel Genoa”
Hotel is in a very good position on the marina. Very close to all the local bars and resturants, we walked all round town and found we were only ever about ten minutes from the hotel. The room was fantastic a lovely bathroom and nice comfy bed. All the staff were very helpful and all we incountered spoke perfect English. All round a five star Hotel

nh-marina Genua”
This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this hotel. Although the standard is still acceptable, it has certainly fallen since our first visit in 2013. Particularly the situation at breakfast leaves a lot of room for improvement: hot dishes were cold, coffee machine not functioning properly; tables not cleared from previous guests, seems to be a shortage of staff. We were also looking forward to our evening meal in the hotel restaurant; but were disappointed as the presentation , quantity and standard had fallen remarkably since last year. It is quite sad to observe this, since the location is unbeatable, the staff (the few) very helpful and doing their best; the rooms are excellent standard. We will certainly stay there one more time, and hope that things have improved. However, we will not take an evening meal there again, unless it is obvious that some effort has been made to provide a value for money eating experience. There are many restaturants within walking distance who provide varied menus in each price category which are better value for money.

Great hotel, no complaints at all”
stayed for one night, efficient check in, long walk to the room, but once there suitably impressed, generous living area, and nice bathroom, all the usual facilities, tea and coffee etc. beautiful view from the window (my room was one of the few without balcony) overlooking the marina, with boats just there! shower was good, breakfast buffet excellent. local promenade and cafes etc all in easy reach on foot.

I am very familiar with Genoa. and I tried several different hotels over there. this one remains one of thebest experience. location and view are plus. minus is the presence of mosquitos around marina at this time of the year.

Exceptional”
The hotel is beautiful! The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is in a perfect location, within 15 minutes of almost everything in Genoa, including being right beside the Aquarium, plus great restaurants are all around the area. I would definitely recommend as a great place to stay.

Perfect Location”
I've stayed at this hotel several times and its my preferred hotel for when i visit Genoa. Hotel is located in the harbour with fantastic views of all the moored boats. Good breakfast, comfortable bed, Nespresso machine in the room which is a nice touch and only a 5-10 minute walk into the old town.

Good location and high end facility with affordabl”
The only "bad" thing I can say about the hotel is that port view is not nice and they do not give you free parking. The hotel is an international standard with big reception area, an English speaking staff but still in reasonable pricing. Rooms are very big, clean, comfortable and have nice shower area. Breakfast is rich and with nice sitting. From the hotel it is very easy to explore the old town area, shopping in old city market.

Absolutely avoid this hotel! Tourist trap”
Travelling as a couple, we stayed at NH Marina for 3nights. We will never go back as there are much more charming and good value for money hotels in Genova. We also advise everyone to avoid this hotel for the following reasons: 1) Upon arrival on Nov1st 2012, the receptionist kept us waiting 20min while she was capturing the passport information. Usually receptionists take a copy and do this once they cleared the queue so tired travelers can check-in smoothly. 2) Once we finally made it to the room, we were sadly surprised to find 2 separate single beds while we book a double room with 1 king size bed. Going back to the reception and insisting only got us to get another room but only the following day. The staff displayed no willingness to help solving their reservation issue. Sleeping in separate bed does not make it up to the best romantic week-end. 3) On Nov2nd, we went at 9:30am to have a buffet breakfast. The experience was awful given there was no staff member filtering the entrance to the Restaurant and it seems lacking staff to serve and clean the room. As a result: - a lot of people standing in the walkway waiting for a table to free up. - the poor staff members had no time to clean the tables and fill up the buffet. - an awful breakfast for all tourists staying at the hotel.

Great Hotel, great location!”
We spent the last day and night of our Italian holiday in Genoa and opted for this Hotel based on its' location to the historic centre. It completely exceeded our expectations in every respect and we would certainly stay again. Also a very good Hotel to stay at if on business in Genoa. Breakfast was excellent and being able to sit outside on the quay was a bonus. The machine coffee was very poor though but that is being picky.

Comfortable stay in a beautiful hotel”
Overall a good value for money stay in a nice hotel on a beautiful locations. Ships all around and the restaurant/Breakfast room offers a fantastic view over the harbour. Very friendly staff and good food quality. Room was just acceptable. Small, no thrills and a little outdated. Overall the value for money was OK.
