Best happiest nicest people most comfortable hotel”
Penny , Eddie the owners made Yot stay so comfortable and bent over backwards to make us welcome and for full every need we had . As well as the resident staff member hector from argintina great guy and host made our stay that little bit special with his kind energy !! Don't look anywhere else this homestay / hotel is just like a home away from home with a nice pool to laze around and room service penny's food is amazing thai food basic pad thai / fried rice and currys I could eat anywhere in town penny's food was in beatable !!! Eddie the owner his hospitality was just great and went out his way to help me and my wife with any problem we had , where to go what to do he really made our stay !!! I recommend this hotel 10 out of 10 atleast try a night and you'll see what I mean we were ment to stay 2 nights and stayed 10 it's like a tranquil place to get away relax listen to farm animals near by and just let the rest of the world go by !! Highly reccomended I've only filled out 2 reviews in my 1000 hotel in thailand stays and this was one I had to share for future guest looking at penny's !!!

Beautiful small hotel, lovely staff, tasty food!”
We really enjoyed our stay at Penny's. All the rooms are nicely furnished, very clean, spacious and I think great value for money. The staff are great and deal with any problems. I don't know how anyone can moan about this hotel, they are very willing to please and found toys for our kids and entertained them. The garden and pool are quiet and the gym is quite well equipped. The food is delicious, also good value. The location is close to town, it's a short ride to the beach. There are bikes or cars for hire. The hotel recently completed a new road and there is plenty of on and off street parking. I would recommend Penny's for a weekend break or longer. They are quite willing to provide extra furniture on request, a cot, extra bedding, playthings for children and extra things for pets such as drinking bowl etc. I've never felt quite at home as in this hotel. The best thing about the hotel is the people you will meet, everyone is quite friendly including the guests, we all hung out in the kitchen and shared our evening meal together, 5 different nationalities all enjoying ourselves. Will definitely be back to this place.

Wonderful staff, relaxing natural setting.”
My wife and I loved our stay at Penny's. From the moment we drove in, we were welcomed like family. There is no pretense to this place or the folks who run it. We spent a wonderful two days, relaxing, swimming--in a great pool, and talking with a couple we met from Sweden and of course with Penny and Eddy. This is a fairly new venture for them and they have plans to perhaps slowly expand it a little. What seperates this experience from others is the family atmosphere. Sort of like a Bed and Breakfast experience but you have your own little cottage like room. Its close ( 10 mins or so from the beach areas of Ban Chang) there are all sorts of local places to pick up food, and supplies. The price for Penney's is quite reasonable! I think they are constantly trying to improve the facilities and the experience for the people and so I am sure this place will be even MORE of a great experience as time goes on. We appreciated very much Eddy and Penny and we will be back!

Comfortable, friendly and relaxed”
This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a chilled out, relaxed stay. It is in a quiet location set off a small side street. The homestay is surrounded by a natural environment. Penny's is dog friendly and kid friendly which is a great bonus. Near to the Ban Chang beach area it is near to go to the town, local restaurants and a good spot to base yourself for travelling to places in Rayong and Pattaya.

Nice quiet place”
Not much to review as we only stayed for one night. Swimming pool is nice & clean, garden too. Owners are very friendly and helpful,this place is good value for the money. One more thing to mention is that this place is not the easiest to find as there is no sign on the main road. When getting outside the town following the main road there will be a Ban Chang Palace Hotel on your right hand side clearly visible from longer distance (high building). After passing the hotel carry on going forward for further 500 (approx) meters and then turn right into the residential area where you should be able to see small sign showing you to turn right into unpaved sandy road where the Penny's Homestay is to be found.

Superb stay”
We originally booked for 5 nights, but we're so impressed with the resort that we extended by another 8 nights. Can not recommend Penny's resort highly enough, we have 2 very young children and was made to feel at home as soon as we arrived. Rooms are clean and well equipped, pool is lovely, and close to the town and beaches, food is top class too. We all loved our stay.

Genuine feeling of home”
We - my 18 year old daughter, my girlfriend and me - stayed for 2 nights, and there's absolutely no doubt in my mind that I will be back. It's not 5 stars, but there's nothing to put your fingers on, and Penny herself lifts the place to a level, where the much higher rated hotels I stayed on, can't keep up. Penny makes sure that everything is to your satisfaction - with a big smile. I've never felt more welcome any of the many places I've stayed in Thailand. It's placed in a quiet area, but still not far from town. And with the low numbers of rooms, there's a good chance you have the place for yourself.I have found my home away from home when I'm in Ban Chang.

we felt at home during our stay at penny's. we had rides to and from the beach,penny and eddie took us out for a thai bbq which was amazing and fun! the fruit farm tour was fun, we didnt go during the busy season but ate a lot of fruit and salads. we would definately go back to stay with penny in the future.

Relaxing and laid-back environment”
Room was very nicely decorated with a very homely feeling. Coffee and tea facilities in room as well as free internet access. Rooms have air con, TV and DVD. The resort has a nice swimming pool, which is good for kids. Staff friendly and helpful and make you feel relaxed and welcome. Morning breakfast is good. This resorts offers a home from home experience.

WOW! Warm friendly lovely people at Penny's !!!!”
Penny was warm and inviting abd took very good care of us. The new rooms are very nicely decorated and VERY CLEAN. They have internet TV, Wifi, DVD and free movies, even Wii for kids! Pennys is a Homestay and not a big hotel which we liked because we had the place to ourselves. We rented bikes and enjoyed cycling to the beach. The food was very good value and the breakfast delicious. We felt very welcomed at Pennys it has plenty of things for the kids to do and the Homestay and Gardens are a labour of love for the hosts. We will recommend to all our friends in Bangkok. Thank you for an unforgetable stay! TIP: Pennys has a small number of rooms and often booked up so you need to book ahead! Extea beds can be negotiated on the spot they are very friebdly, also small pets are welcome! Regards Peter ...

I stayed here for 2 nights with my partner,and from the longer than expected journey down from Bangkok,the warm welcome from both Penny and Eddie,put us both in a relaxing frame of mind,the evening meal is cooked and prepared by Penny,and home grown on some items,the early morning cockerel awakens you to a fabulous breakfast,I would highly recommend this small guest house

Lovely from beginning to end, Penny and Eddy are great hosts and they looked after our needs really well. The rooms were big and well maintained, nice new bathrooms, comfy beds and TV, Wifi DVD etc. It even had Tea and Coffee making facilities. Lovely quiet area with a pool. We loved their little dogs who kept us all entertained. We will definitely book again the next time we are in the area. To top it off it was excellent value for money!

picked this one as wanted something different to the hotel type accommodation for a change. is more a bed and breakfast than a hotel, very quaint and a little out of the way. food was delicious has a lovely pool and a little play area for young children. the only thing it lacked was any sink or kitchen facilities and no microwave. had a lovely stay penny and her husband were great can definitely recommend

Great stay, Penny is a gem. Other staff are great also. Location might be a issue for some others, not for us - we lowed the rural surrundings. The only negative might be the poor electrical wiring in the Deluxe room.
