Good value for stay and services”
I had my stay there for 4D3N, big, clean and comfort room. I was actually getting free upgrade to a better room with window without any charges. The staff, Mr Andy, speak well in English, Chinese and also local dialect. Very friendly person with excellent travel knowledge. He recommend us places to visit and also places for foods, drinks, souvenir and shops. Andy making his own map of Kuching city area which enable us to easily get what we wants easily. He even remember the time schedule for buses. Very special guy. Thanks Andy!

1. The room is comfortable and the toilet also very clean. 2. The staff is very nice , besides that he also help me to planning the itinerary to visit. 3. High speed Internet. 4. A lot of food can eat around this hotel(the famous laksa and kolo mee also at this place, can ask the staff if can't find it). 5. The important thing is the price of hotel is cheaper and value of money . If you want to find the hotel(price range is something like this), you can choose this hotel. 6. The hotel is pretty good for me”
My stay was a good and safe at the hotel. I felt at home with friendly staffs, easy access to any eatery and shopping mall. Toilet was ok, the room was good. If I may purpose the hotel to offer more tv channel such as HBO or Star tv for relaxing after being out day and comes back at night and hope the hotel could offer plastic spoon and few packet of 3 in 1 drink for those who love to have a sip of 3 in 1 drink in the morning. Overall mh friend I would love to recommend this hotel for other travellers who wishes to have a short visit to Kuching and its really worth for your money value as it is a low cost budget hotel.

Centrally located no frills clean budget hostel ”
The hostel was centrally located at the junction of Abell Road and Lorong Padungan Utara, opposite the Lime Tree Hotel, via a side door leading upstairs. Only a small signboard was visible. The staff manning the place, Mr Andy is very friendly, helpful and informative and readily recommended eating places, tourist places, famous Kuching food etc. Although hostel was no frills and basic, it was value for money and the unlimited drinking water supply was handy in view of the hot weather. Plenty of eating places nearby and food is very cheap. Short walking distance to waterfront for river cruise, museums, temples, mosque and other tourist attractions. Take a short boat ride across the river for 50 sen (RM 0.50) and visit the Orchid Garden in front of the new State Assembly Building, beside the Astana. All in all, a very good value hostel to stay in if you just intend to sleep & freshen up. LCD TV with movies in room for relaxation.

The waterfront is only 10-15 minutes walking distance, a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. The owner can help arrange for day trips to areas outside of Kuching city center. The staff is also very helpful and helped us to find a car rental from the internet. We stayed at the family room which is overall clean with fresh linen and towels, although the walls could use a new coat of paint, and the toilet roll holder is broken.

Very pleasant stay”
A really good place to stay in Kuching, specially because of the boss and his staff, both very professionnal, friendly and helpfull. I had great time with you guys, thanks for that. The rooms also are very good value with complete furniture, clean, everything working and very very good large beds. Wifi works perfectly even in the rooms so you can easily plan your trip or work. Free drinking water is provided from the hotel, the kind of thing I do appreciate. There is no restaurant in the hotel but lots of great places to eat or go out just around. I actually extended my stay there to a full week, so I have nothing to complain about.

budget hotel with competitive price & location”
For the competitive price, it is good as it is in kuching town, 5mins walk to Chinatown (but most shops close after 5-6pm) & few good kopitiam, 15mins walk to water front, tuo pek kong etc. The staff (which believed to be the owner) is helpful and friendly. However, the room is not fantastic as there is some stains over the wall and floor but since we are budget traveller and only spend 8-10hours in the room to sleep and most of times we were out for sightseeing, it is fine for us. Another down side is that the hotel is near pub area and we spotted few ladies stand roadside at night... However, for adults, I guess it is fine. A no-no for family. Be sure to catch good foods in Chinatown which is just behind the Lime Tree Hotel (opp Premium Stay Hotel) - the Da Pao, the Kolo Mee, Kuching Laksa and more!

Great place, clean room and friendly service”
have been staying here during a visit. have to say that given the price i'm paying, the quality of the room and overall place has exceeded my expectations. the room is clean, the boss and staff are friendly. location is near city with eateries around. however during my stay shampoo and bath lotion etc are not available. this is not much of an issue to me, given that the rate is already very cheap and the place is well maintained.

Nice and clean but noisy at night.”
Good experience especially with the staff, Andy. He knows the best seafood restaurant in Kuching. He also helped me arranged for a day tour to Cultural Village and helped me get a rental car. Hotel is noisy at night as it is close to a karaoke pub and sound coming from vehicles can be heard. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. There are plenty of good restaurants - Top Spot and Hong Kong Restaurant to name a few.

A new hostel at Jalan Abell (2012)”
The owner of the hostel is very friendly. The room itself is good enough for me with the amount of money I paid. Since its location near the main road, so it quite noisy at night. This hostel near to the restaurant RJ ayam bakar the most famous restaurant in Kuching. It tooks about 5 mins walk.

Above average hostel with a great location”
While the hostel may be a little difficult to find (owing to the small signboard and misleading directions), the rooms are clean and new, with plenty of space. The location of the hostel along Jalan Abell is its greatest advantage. The owners of the hostel were also friendly and accommodating. Note that while this hostel does not offer any dining options, the surrounding area has some of the best Kuching food one can find.

We were using car Kuching, therefore we have choosen a hotel that provide car park. This hotel was selected because it does provide car park. The staff was friendly and the room is clean. However, room service can be improved because they forgot to provide mineral water during the room service. Besides, they also forgot to refill the toilet papers.

Lovely stay in Kuching”
The hostel is pretty nice. The best room has a balcony and a view of the street. Also it is more spacious and has a cleaner bathroom. It was a bit noisy with the traffic but it did not bother us. The location is great as it is centrally downtown and near the river. But the real star of the hostel is staff! He is absolutely wonderful and he helped make our almost three week stay the best ever. He helped plan our excursions, gave us an insight of the city, shared a laugh, and was always willing to help us.

Overall stay was decent for its price. Bed was sleepable, small tv, decent ensuite bathroom. Good a/c and fast internet. Water dispenser is also provided at site for daily consumption. Tours can be arranged with Mr Chang. Good local delicacies like Sarawak Laksa, Kolo Mee, Mee Jawa are at the famous, Chong Choon Restaurant which is 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Restaurants, cafes, bars, spa/massage places, shopping malls, groceries are all within reach by food from this hotel.
