Historic Elegance in the heart of florence ”
The entire team at relais Santa Croce was outstanding. They exceeded every expectation one could possibly have while on a trip. The room was extremely clean with excellent views of Santa Croce. The window opened like a large balcony and the wind flowed in naturally set to a picturesque setting of organic Firenze life. The GM Marco placed a special invitation for a classical concert that the hotel was hosting with an opera singer and guitarist. It was splendid and the entire atmosphere of the hotel is one of taste, character, elegance and class. I recommend wholeheartedly.

A Real Touch of Class in a Soellbinding City”
The Santa Croce displayed a high level of professionalism, good manners and customer service from the moment we stepped in till the time we had to leave. Our room was immaculate and very well appointed. The public rooms in the hotel need to be seen to be believed. We felt as though we were staying in one of the opulent palaces Florence is so famous for. Its location was ideal for us being easy to find by car even in the historic district. All major Florentine attractions and 'big names ' are a short walk away through the delightful alleyways and thoroughfares of Florence. We were pleased to be close enough to the attractions but removed from the bustle and noise of the direct centre. In conclusion, a five star hotel that deserves every one of those stars.

Your (arguably better) home away from home”
Florence was the first stop on my honeymoon trip, and I couldnt be happier that I went with Relais Santa Croce (RSC) for the accommodation. When I told them that the missus and I were there for the honeymoon, boy did they made sure its a memorable stay for us. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about the locale (where to eat, what to see), we quickly felt like local, hence it just felt like home. The personal handwritten note from the manager of the establishment and help from the staff (Dorina, to name one of the many) are one of the highest level of hospitality I have ever experienced. Wish I could take their warm hospitality with me to brace the colder Paris. Wishing RSC the best and keep up the good work. Regards, Oscar, H.

I dont have enough superlatives!”
From the minute we arrived at this gorgeous hotel and were greeted by the extremely friendly staff, we loved it! We had the most gorgeous room with a little balcony and a view over Florence and we walked absolutely everywhere easily. The breakfast is superb.. the finest we have had on this trip and it truly deserves its 5 stars in every way. I would recommend this beautiful former palace which has been updated into a gorgeous modern hotel, to anyone. We can’t wait to go back!

The grandeur of the hotel and service of the staff caught my attention, but the hotel was quite run down”
I had mostly good experience with the hotel except a few mishaps. The hotel staff's service was excellent, it was home to a Michelin 3 Star restaurant and they even had a steam bath inside the room. The room was very dimly lit, the heater was leaking water, and the hot flask tripped, which tripped the entire room's electricity, and spoiled the fridge and my iPhone charger cable (my only one btw). Luckily the hotel manager gave me a spare iPhone cable. Most of the staff showed me utmost respect and courtesy except one blond young chap who worked during the night shift. When I first came back at night, he did not open the door for me and looked at me with disbelief. Bearing in mind I like to dress very casually like jean or short plus polo T (it was quite a warm spring in Florence as well). When he saw my hotel room keys then he reluctantly opened the door for me, but not before passing some remarks in Italian to his colleague (not sure what he said, but the tone wasn't nice. May be I think too much but it was rude to whisper when a guest walked past, no?). Further, another night I went out to purchase sandwich at a nearby shop, and again, he looked at me in disbelief when I came back with a cheap sandwich in my hands (of course I was in short and T-Shirt). To be honest, I had dined in Enoteca Pinchiorri, and could afford to dine there every night if I want to. I felt his attitude can be improved by a huge margin. That said, the rest of the staff were excellent. From opening the doors promptly, helping us with luggage, confirming our tours and so on.

Awesome”
It was really good. The hotel does not have many small rooms, the building has it's own history, great staff and very attentive. They asked us where we wanted to go around Florence and they actually suggested and helped us book our tickets to go sightseeing and it did saved us a lot of time because the line for tickets were very long.

Centrally located historical hotel”
This hotel is located in walking distance from the main touristic sites of Florence. It occupies a historic building, and has a number of beautiful salons with historic furniture. While the hotel bills itself as a five-star venue, I found the service surprisingly weak. For instance, I found that all spoons were gone at the breakfast buffet, and when I asked a waitress for one, it took her a full ten minutes to bring it. Similarly, the reception told me that the doorman would call a taxi, but the doorman was nowhere to be found.

Charming, elegant and private”
We have a lovely holidays in Florence and an enjoyable stay in this hotel. Food is good and staff are very helpful. Even though we had to walk a bit to the city center, it was good exercise after a heavy meal. The 3 Michelin stars restaurant next door is great but we also enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in the hotel's restaurant.

Great great service very personalised. ”
We checked in to stay for 4 nights, super good location on a quite street near the ufizzi. Their service is impressive, very attentive concierge, the housekeeping was super efficient, they literally checked and make up my room few times a day whenever i leave the hotel. The details of every part of the facility, amenities are done perfect (ie. soft mint scent on bath towels). The restaurant was also very nice and reasonable priced. Worth every penny.

Top notch hotel”
Top notch hotel in central Florence. Only thing I missed was a gym and a spa. The staff was absolutely fantastic.

Definitely Not a Five Star Property”
For a supposed luxury five star property, I was extremely let down. When I arrived mid-afternoon, no was at the door to greet me and help with my luggage. Also, the Front Desk Clerk was arrogant and gossiped with the Manager in front of me while ignoring me standing there to check in. Also, I asked her twice to reserve me a car to the airport and she forgot and I had no transportation. Also, the internet did not work in the room. A beautifully restored place, but really unsuited for a business traveler. With all of the options in Florence, stay away from this property.

Beautiful hotel with great service staff”
We love the look of the hotel the moment we stepped in. Check-in was a breeze. Service staff were excellent and especially note-worthy was Barbara who was always ready to help with a smile, from dishing out excellent restaurant recommendations to booking our train tickets, shuttle service and booking of our hotels. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. Location was great as well - a 10-minute walk to the Duomo. Would definitely revisit.

Exceptional”
What a wonderful hotel. It truly deserves its 5 stars. From morning breakfast to tea, drinks, dinner & night cap the service & hospitality was extraordinary. Added plus it is right next to what we consider the top ristorante in the whole world - Enoteca Pinchiorri - 3 Star Michelin.

Bad nights sleep”
The mattress was really hard and the sheets were scratchy. They did add a topper after our request but I feel a five star hotel should have a really comfortable bed and soft sheets.

Gem”
Enjoyable stay. Staff were excellent, room was a little dark and had no view which was disappointing. Breakfast was OK but not 5 star. Public rooms were fantastic as you would expect in a former palace

Staff were great and were upgraded on arrival to a suite. Room was excellent and location great. Let down was the limited breakfast spread and quality of food. Would recommend to stay.
