A great home stay by the beautiful river.”

Although this place is a 15 minute drive from center of Luo Dong, it's near the Qin Shui River and is nice and peaceful. The cabins are unique and clean, great for family with kids. Very nice and helpful host and hostess, with delicious home made breakfast every day. You can even borrow their bicycle to have a bike tour around the river. We would definitely recommend it to family looking for quiet and friendly home-stay in Yilan.

we stay 2 days at river-villa. the environment though a bit old was very cosy and nice. the hotel room were comfortable and the local style breakfast which include variety of dishes were great. the plain rice porridge provided was the best we have tested during our stay in taiwan. we enjoyed travelling around dong shan he 冬山河 by bicycles provided by river-villa.

Lovely place to take a short break.”

The owner was there to welcome us and was real friendly and they really make you feel at home. We are Luckly they upgrade us to a bigger room. We had a comfortable 2 nights stay at the River Villa. Good place to relax and go for a morning walk and do some fishing. We need to cycle to a small restaurant for lunch and dinner just less than ten minutes away.

River Villa is one of the many 'minsu' in the area. generally there's nothing to do in the area except to walk around at the Donghua River Park nearby and visit the Cultural Centre nearby. everywhere you go you need to call a taxi and it's between NT200-220 each trip if you want to visit the Loudong town. the good things about River Villa is the mature garden with plenty of trees around. and the breakfast is healthy and delicious.

Great environment and excellent river view”

I was impressed by the wooden villa built by owner. The owner both husband & wife are very friendly. They even upgraded my room in the 1st night to a bigger room with 2 king size beds. Complementary usage of bicycle until 5pm eventhough we have checked out from the villa. Breakfast is excellent feel like home cook food by grandmother.

Nice and Cozy”

My daughter and myself, we stay there for 2 nights. The place is quite and nice. The rooms are very nice and you feel like you are at home. The owners are very kind and good people. I accidentally left my buddha pendant in the room when I left and they are very kind and efficient to send it by mail to my taipei hotel the very next evening. I will definatly stay in this place again the next time I visit and I will make my stay longer. Its a good place to relax. Thanks to owner Mr and Mrs

I selected this hotel for a client who I was taking around the area. We arrived in the evening, the owner came out to the carpark and led us to the rooms, and listed our choices for breakfast, either Taiwanese style or Western style. It was a very quiet location, with a comfortable room and strong WIFI connection. I'd definitely stay there again.

Quiet, Comfort Villa”

The surrounding is quiet and peaceful, the house is made of log, very clean inside with beautiful decoration. Makes people feel comfortable. The bedding is tidy and clean. Facilities inside the cabin is well-equipped with refrigerator, TV, wifi etc. Except there is no shade inside the bathroom, make the floor wet after shower. The location is not too easy to access, better get a taxi to reach. They only provide breakfast, travellers need to walk about 5-10 mins to nearby eating place for food, the sidewalk is quiet dart at night. There is a walkway just behind the garden to reach the riverside, very convenient.

Overall the stay is good but this place has lots of mosquitoes. I guess this is kind of expected since it has lots of greenery plus a river by the side. Think more has to be done to reduce the number of mosquitoes in the open.

Relaxed stay in wooden houses”

A relaxed holiday with sweet moments of tranquility sitting and walking by the river I have enjoyed the simple "See fain" (porridge) with fresh local fruits. However, the walk along the river can be improved with more plants and maintenance

Home sweet home”

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There were nearby restaurants that we can also have our meals. One evening we had a catered bar be que at the riverside enjoying the quietness of the place.

Cosy home stay with the touch of nature ”

Despite the massive attack of the mosquitoes, we truly enjoyed this homestay. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We felt very much at ease staying here. The homestay has prepared free usage of bicycles for the guests which is really thoughtful. Overall, we had a pleasant stay!
