Exceptional”
The few negatives: Our room smelt like smoke even though I requested nonsmoking. When I called down the the front desk they said they would bring in machine while we were out, that recycled the air. We figured it was too much of a hassle. Instead I just opened the windows, but there was scaffolding along our windows, so our windows were covered over. Which made it difficult to circulate air, but we managed! Overall though this is a lovely hotel and the staff is extremely nice and willing to go above and beyond for their guest. You're located very close to a tram that takes you to the city center and train station. Which I preferred because we didn't have wade through crowds of people to get back to our hotel/airport. Our last night we ordered room service (due to being exhausted from a full day wine tour) and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS! Even with the temporary smokey smell, I would definitely stay at the Starshotel Michelangelo again!

Great VFM on the CBD limit of Firenze”
Great big room for 3 pax. View from room 716 sort of looked down the Arno river (not that you could actually see it but it's good to know it's there.) Hotel is on the edge of downtown Florence, so parking a car isn't an issue, Florence has an LTZ in place which means that from 8am - 8pm only certain vehicles can access, pretty expensive if you're not allowed. Hotel about 1km walk from Ponte Vecchio and it makes for a pleasant stroll any time of the day along the riverside. Breakfast needs improvement, filtered coffee in 2019, in ITALY? Incredible. Despite that, I'd have no hesitation staying again.

Second time staying in this hotel. It is about 20 minutes walk to town along the river. Nice room and courteous staff. Breakfast was basic European fare but sufficient to get going in the morning.

Highly recommended, will definitely book again”
When you got lost around the city and you're trying to beat the checkout time of 12noon, the sweetest thing you'll hear from the reception staff is "it's absolutely ok, take your time, madam". This is how friendly and warm the staff is at Star Hotels Michaelangelo, looking after their guests. When I arrived from an early morning flight from Paris, like many of the hotels, they offered to store my luggage and was told they will inform me via call or email when my room is ready. I was pleasantly surprised that after a few minutes, the lady at the front desk informed me that my room is ready. The location of the hotel is very convenient, about 10 mins away from the tourist crowd in the historical center. The hotel is just a 2 min walk to either the bus or tram stop. I preferred to take the C2 bus as it stops literally a block away from the Duomo. The rooms are modern and has all the amenities, the toilet even has a bidet seat. The lobby had a massage chair which was welcome treat after all the walking around the city. Breakfast choices are basic but the highlight for the breakfast for me was the chocolate croissant, warm, buttery, flaky and had chocolate and hazelnut filling, it was one of the best i tasted. I would definitely be back to Starhotels Michaelangelo if I find myself in Florence again. Highly recommended!

Comfortable Western Hotel in the heart of Florence”
We were only at the Starhotels Michelangelo for a quick stay before flying out of florence in the morning. Staff was very friendly and efficient during check in. When we mentioned that we wouldn't be able to make the breakfast buffet because of our morning flight, she offered to have a "breakfast bag" ready for us in the morning. The bag was well stocked and a great perk. Room was clean and had a 'western' feel. It wasn't overly large, but good sized by italian standards. Room was well equipped with everything one would expect. We ate dinner at the hotel's bar and were very impressed with the quality of the food. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it highly! It's a short ride to the airport and not far from the center of florence (although you may not want to walk it too often).

Modern but bit far from the heart of the city”
i stayed at the starhotels michelangelo for 2 nights. the hotel is a bit far from the train station, about 20 minute walk or you can choose to take the tram and travel 1 stop (but it costs). if you don't mind the distance so much, it is a chic and modern hotel with spacious room. i was also very happy with the cleanliness. hotel staff was extremely helpful and always greet guests with a smile. wifi is free in the lobby but only free for 30min in room. breakfast was fair with enough variety. i will return to this hotel if if ever visit florence again!

Our first time in FLorence. WE got free upgrades (higher priced room) 1. Staff - were all very helpful. They will give you a map and explain in detail where to go and how to get there. Location-quiet & peaceful at night. easy to locate. just ride the tram outside of the train station. get off on the 1st stop and you cant miss the hotel sign. Free Breakfast-its not your ordinary bread and coffee bfast. Its a full buffet! (value for money stuff!)

Good and spacy hotel”
Starhotels Michelangelo Florence have a beauty and spacy room. You can go to many many sight seeing within ten minutes by taxi. Nice staff, will assist you to visit tourist attraction, such as Academia, the place you can see David sculpture by Michelangelo. Wifi only available at lobby. Breakfast is ok. The room and the bathroom are comfortable.

Nice hotel but a distance from the city”
We chose to stay at Starhotels Michelangelo because we were driving and wanted to stay outside the city's restricted driving area. The hotel is nice and comfortable, and is a pleasant 30 min walk to the city along the river. There is also a tram stop just outside the hotel. There are restaurants and a supermarket near the hotel so it is very convenient. Some members of the staff could be friendlier and we found out later (from our hotel in Milan) that we needn't pay city tax for our two kids, but this was not conveyed to us by the staff. It was a pleasant stay overall and we had a delightful time in Florence.

Fantastic Stay”
Stayed here for 3 nights when my wife, son and me visited Florence. The room was spacious with a sofa bed for 3 people. Breakfast was good (except the coffee was burnt). The facilities were adequate. There are some parking nearby. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the Florence old town.

Easy going hotel, but a little bit out of town”
knowing the hotel was a little out from the centre of florence, when we arrived we took a taxi (€8) from the train station to the hotel. it took only 5 minutes. my tip for other travellers is to get the tram. it starts at the train station and the hotel is right next door to the first tram stop "porta al prato-leopolda". it costs €1.20 for a ticket lasting 90 minutes. the hotel is pretty ugly outside, but inside is really nice. our room was a superior on the 7th floor. clean and modern with a good bed though the room was smaller than we hoped. breakfast was a typical amer-contintental buffet but it was all of good quality. there is a small gym in the hotel too that i used twice and had it all to myself! the hotel is only 2 minutes from the river, then another 15-20 minute walk to the main attactions. having done two round trips on foot we then used the tram. the hotel is in a quiet area, though only 5 minutes walk away there are a few nice restaurants and bars, so no need to go back into the central area for meals.

Good Vacatios in Firenze!”
Nice hotel, just outside the ZTL of Firenze; convienient for someone travelling by car; there is also a parking available at 23euro (these are the parking prices in Firenze; 20 is minimum!),around 1.8Km from city center on foot,overall very satifsfied...only drawback...expensive! Of course Firenze hotels are all expensive....

the hotel is located a little far from the center, but for me it was better, because the center has restricted traffic that dificults every thing. The hotel is very modern, beautful, nice bathroom, and has a good price. I recomend.

Nice upgraded hotel”
The room was very nice and comfortable. the room we originally paid for was not upgraded so in order to get the nicer room we had to pay extra. They also told us Wifi was included for use in the room, but we werent able to access it, only in the common areas. Breakfast was nice. The hotel was close to SMN train station, but with backpacks on in the middle of summer it was a long hike. The location is a little far from the center of the city. If you are going for sightseeing and dont want to cab it every day then maybe look for something a little closer. Overall the room was nice and we were definitely able to walk off dinner every night on our hike back to the room:)

nice hotel ear the river”
The hotel is new and clean. It had a good bed, pillows, linens etc. The bathroom was spacious enough and we got upgraded to a de luxe room! The area was ok. Near the river in Florence but far from the shopping center. It was also easy to get a cab, the front desk assisted upon request.
