Spent 4 nights here. Room was clean. Comfortable bed. Flat screen with Thai TV. You can change Mono29 channel to English. The restaurant and the breakfast were good. The free breakfast you can get soup or 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 slices of ham, 2 slices of toasted bread with jam and butter, as well as water, juice (not fresh) and coffee. I recommend the restaurant at the top of the hill next to the turn off to go to the temples. Cheaper food and delicious.

The greatest advantage of being close to the sea The food is delicious, too. It is noisy because there are many group tourists during the day, so it is better to avoid the other quiet scenery. But it gets quiet after 4 p.m.

Good place for a couple getaway. Right on the beach and very convenient. The room is too bright during the day if you want to sleep in, but I suppose you wouldn't on a beach getaway. The beach is overrun with Chinese/Indian tourists all morning and afternoon, but after 5pm they are all gone - we had the entire beach to ourselves. At night they set up chairs and tables on the beach and we had a great seafood dinner there. Next morning the breakfast (Thai rice soup) was good. They do have beach chairs and umbrellas during the day which are free for hotel guests, but by 10am they were completely overrun by groups of Chinese and Indian day-trippers which was quite disappointing as I was hoping to take advantage of this feature and it was part of why I booked this place. Maybe we could've gotten chairs if we arrived earlier. Overall a very nice one-night getaway on the beach though.

Basic but right on the beach”
Okay, I was a fool for booking initially only one night and then changed it to 2 nights when I got there (second night cost me twice as the first). However, being able to just step out from the front right onto the beach and veg on their chairs was great. It’s also the start of a nice setup of lights at night right to the end of the beach. It’s not the place for everyone as I could only swim in the clear blue water, lie on the beach chairs during the day and then return at night to soak in the night ambience. No bars!! My next trip will be to stay at this exact place for much longer if I can get the right price.

I didn't feel like we were welcomed. The service would need to be improved. I just felt they didn't want to help us so much. On the other hand, there was more privacy. It was just too crowded on the beach with too many tourists after 6 p.m. it was very quiet. Overall it was just alright.

Koh Larn is a small island So one or two days are enough. In daytime from 10 am to 4 pm, it look like you are in China, to many people on the beach.

We are easygoing &used to quite a lot, but this time our stay was disappointing.Friendly staff.”
Old rooms and furniture, rust everywhere.(Baan Similan) for 7 people had only 1 narrow bathroom that didnt close well.No shelf in the bathroom to put stuff.The big bedroom on the 2nd floor had no fridge or bathroom.The one downstairs was only accessible via steep old stairs.Very inconvenient at night.The super small room downstairs had no space to walk around the bed.No view.Ants everywhere.So we asked to move to another house the next day.Baan Plyfah is more spacious, but had a terrible sewer smell in the livingroom that made us want to vomit.We sprayed for mosquitoes n found 5 dead cockroaches and a centipede.After using the noisy AC in the small bedroom for a few hours, black dirty ice blocks fell down on the bed.The bathroom in Baan Similan is spacious but no shelves to put stuff.The breakfast is ok but not enough.No hot water boiler or microwave in the room.No coffee/tea in the room.On the beach there's gasoline smell all day from speedboats/jetskis. 1 good point:friendly staff.
