One of the best villas in Taiwan”
This isnt the most high class villa in Taiwan, but it's probably one with most soul. The interior was designed and built by the founder, and it's so beautiful I'd say all the villas themselves are works of art. The owners' family is very nice and very easy to chat with. I can safely say this villa is much better than any 5-star hotel you can possibly stay at anywhere. Location is great as well.

A place to experience local flavours and hospitality ”
Each room is different and artistic. We feel at home. The hotel is situated in a small town near to sun moon lake. Dio is fantastic as he took us around the area. Duo’s wife is such a great cook - we look forward to breakfast every morning. The the owner who build this property is very warm, kind and friendly. We have the best time staying in our little villa.

These villas are designed specially. Especially are located in quiet and peaceful tea fields. Home-made breakfast is yummy and delicious. The owner's families show their warm hospitality to visitors. Everything is so perfect. Definitely will come back to visit.

Wonderful B&B and hosts”
Villa itself was very interesting and comfortable. Breakfast was great. The location is a little bit away with not much immediately around but hosts make sure to help with that. Probably the best part of the stay was the hosts - everyone was really friendly and helpful. They were totally willing to offer rides to nearby Sun Moon Lake and bus stops. Also they let us use their bikes!

The Sun Moon Lake Secret Garden Villa was a creative family project. From the father who was an artist who built the structures like his "legos" to the daughter who cooked the tasty and beautiful breakfasts, to the husband who drove us to the lake and the bus stop, and the tiny daughter who joined us for breakfast, it was a family affair indeed. The location was beautiful overlooking a tea field. Each "room" was created to emphasize the views and use of recycled items. There were trees growing in the room, creative use of space and views, and glass bottles upcycled into tables and decorative items. Overall, it was a fun and relaxing experience to stay at this location and with this family. They told us about themselves and the area, so we gained a good understanding of the area. They helped us swim in the lake at sunrise, so we had great memories of this location to share!

Beautiful Place, Close to Nature”
Built from scratch by the owner himself, the villa is artistically decorated. Our room has many plants and flowers and many items used wood or reused abandoned twigs and logs. Our room is bright opens up to the tea farm. The school right beside the villa has an awesome landscape - many beautiful trees and wide grassland - that many Taiwanese would come to take wedding / graduation photos. The breakfast was a feast for the eyes, all delicately prepared with vegetables and flowers from their farm. It was delicious. Very friendly and hospitable hosts, who made many good recommendations on restaurants nearby and places to go. Dio, one of the hosts, drove us to the restaurants and picked us up for free. He also drove us to Sun Moon Lake and sent us to Taichung city, both for a fee. Only con is that it is not so near from Sun Moon Lake, perhaps 15-20 min ride to Ita Thao / Shui She.

The hosts were very gracious and kind, and the breakfast was delightful every morning. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, the common/kitchen areas are decorated with such creativity, and the cabin/bungalow we stayed in was one of the most charming I've ever experienced. Everything is made of wood, which gives the place a rustic, primal vibe, yet the amenities such as the bath tube and huge TV, comfortable bed, and lounging areas add such a luxurious feeling to the whole experience. When we were there it was rather cold, so the owners even turned on the heater and electric blankets for us before we arrived, so that it would be nice and toasty inside. We were very touched by this kind and thoughtful gesture. Don't hesitate, you have to come experience this place for yourself. It is the perfect place for a couple to relax on a romantic getaway. I only wish I had more time so I could stay and enjoy this place a while longer! I will definitely come back in the future. The only tiny drawback is that the place is not very close to sun moon lake, so if you want to spend more than 1 day at the lake, and don't have access to your own vehicle, it may be better to stay near the lake.

This was my 1st time stay in TW Bed and breakfast place.I love the rooms which was designed and built by the owner .The whole family was great ,friendly . especially i had an accident in Sun Moon Lake , they actually helped me a lot with food ,transportations Etc ...Everything is perfect with the hotel . I am a very picky person ,and I stayed in many many hotels before around asia countries. This is the best I've ever been before.I would definitly stay there for extra days if I have time , and I will definilty stay in the same place if i go to Sun Moon lake agian .

Amazing place! Great hosts!”
This is an absolutely beautiful place. Clean, new rooms, well equipped. Very unique design by the owner family. Great attention and customer care. The hostess speaks good English. Totally recommend this nice experience. B&B has rooms overviewing tea plantations owned by the family. Peaceful natural environment. About a 5 min drive from Sun Moon Lake, host family also offers transportation service if you have no car. I am totally coming back!!

Gem of a B&B and fantastic host”
We arrived in the Sun Moon Lake area in the midst of a storm and Diana, the host, not only rescued us but also took us for some local hot pot, which was absolutely delicious. The room itself was nothing like you'd have ever stayed in. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. Cant recommend this accom enough.

Magnificent Stay”
We were blown away by how amazing our stay was! The garden are, which is actually the whole hotel, is so peaceful and beautiful- the chilly weather helps to walk around and admire the beautful tea plantation next to the hotel grounds as well as the walk arounf their gardens filled with orchaids, papaya trees, bouganvelias and other tropical plants. The room we had, the garden view suite, was BEAUTIFUL. A japanese like tea sitting area, a large bathtub overlooking the tea plantation, a comfortable private balcony with an elegant chandeliar for ambiance, a cozy king sixe bed with electric warmers and koi fish pond right outside our balcony. Very clean, smelled terrific and we could not have been happier. And the breakfast was first class, healthy, organic, satisfying and homemade. Roasted veggies, mushroom omelette, fancy grilled cheese sandwich and fresh fruit with yogurt in a beautifully decored plate. Coffee was also amazing. Anyway we were really impressed and are plannign to go back soon. Highly recommended.

A fabulous secret place ”
This is absolutely THE secret place to visit in Taiwan, the setting in the middle of fruit trees and tea plantation is fabulous , the two ladies and their father managing the place are awesome, the breakfast is fantastic and the rooms are just so incredible. It's a very nice place to stay, you can enjoy the view of the mountain, breakfast is great and customized. Location is really hidden and "secret," We had to ask around to get there. No wifi in villa.

an unusual experience”
This is a very unusual guest house. There are only a few guest rooms in four buildings set around a little garden. All of the buildings were built by the owner (by himself!) out of mostly recycled materials. The result is hippy chic. We had the biggest suite, and it was a good size. The decor was very eccentric - everything was purple, with handmade crafts here and there (purple macrame lamp shades!) It felt like Woodstock meets the Arabian Nights. The garden is pleasant, and home to 6 very friendly cats. We had a fantastic view of a tea field and beetle nut palms. At night we were serenaded by insects, and I slept very well. Simple restaurants are within walking distance. The owner is very friendly - he can fill you in on the area (if you speak Mandarin). His daughter made a delicious breakfast. If you want a normal hotel experience, go somewhere else. But if you want something unique and offbeat, this is the place. If you have trouble finding it - just look for the front gate of the Christian School. The entrance to the guest house is on the right.

Best place to stay”
Villa is very beautiful with great surrounding. Owner was nice offer a drive for dinner and recommend very nice local hotpot with fresh and chemical free the best I ever had. Breakfast was awesome, fresh make and delicious. Feel this place full with love and passion. It worth every penny and every minute to stay here. Love it!

Excellent, location a bit remote but beautiful scenery. Host provides friendly and helpful services. The villa is nicely decorated with a modern European feeling. Will recommend to anyone who do not mind the location.
