Great bungalows in a great location”
The Resort is not in the main area of the island, but they provide free boat service from 7 am until 9 pm and it just takes 5 minutes. The location is great and relaxing, right in front of the sea, with it's own small beach area. The bungalows are really nice, with air conditioned and a lot of space. The staff working there are all super nice and helpful. You can book activities like kayaking or snorkeling from there. Their English level is not very good (the receptionist was the only one speaking a little bit of English, but she had a very basic level, enough to understand and communicate). However, that wasn't an inconvenient and our stay there was great. The breakfast included was basically Continental, thai dishes were not included. Transport to the Resort was difficult because there were no more ferries when we arrived to Krabi (their last on 2:15 pm I think, we had to take a private boat). If I went back to Koh Phi Phi, I would stay here again.

Cozy and Out if the Way”
I really liked this place. Wish I could have stayed longer. The receptionist was courteous, considerate, and competent; the room was cozy, clean, and quiet; the location was dreamlike, relaxing, and inspiringly beautiful. Great deal, overall. Only real complaint was the boatman, who arrived one. Isn't about forty five minutes late to pick me up from the beach and ferry me back to my quarters... I'm normally not a stickler but it was loud and stank of diesel and pot on the beach. But it's Phi Phi, c'est la vie! Anyhow, this is a small complaint, and the boatman was prolly busy anyhoo. Oh, and Phi Phi is LOUD so here, like anywhere, you will hear every recent mix of any hit song until, about four am. That's not e fault of hotel management; just be prepared. People hear that in the mainland. Otherwise, this little cabin was easily the highlight of my trip to Phuket!

20 hours of Heaven, 4 hours of earplugs”
We were totally surpised by Koh Phi Phi Don. We thought it was going to be a relaxing Thai island. Instead it turned out to be more like a European Spring break. Everything is in English and almost everybody speaks English, very few sawadee... and korp koon... That said, the island is beautiful and there are plenty of things to do and see. The resort was on the bay outside the main town, 5 minute free boat ride, or a 20 minute walk. Sometimes the tide dictated that you had to walk (bring a flashlight or headlamp). We thought we could avoid the noise because of the resort's isolation, but unfortunately the island beach bars face the resort and we were blasted by an assortment of music from about 10pm until 2am. I managed to sleep well enough, but I am a heavy sleeper, my girlfriend however is not, and was undecided about staying for the first couple days. Aside from that, the room was excellent. The view was unbeatable. A friend told me not to trust the photos online, and I’d agree with some of the hotels on the island, but this place is legit. It had air conditioning and a safe in the room (not listed on agoda, but standard in the rooms) and sealed from the outside (no ants or mosquitoes). The bathroom was great, private but open to the air. Service was excellent and everybody was genuinely helpful. When we arrived the tide was too low, so the resort boat driver just carried both of our bags on his shoulder up off the wet sand all the way to the resort. I was impressed. The boat is available for free from 7am-9pm. You can call for a pick-up or ask the front desk. Breakfast is included and pretty good, cooked to order. We weren’t so sure about other meals. We had dinner once and it wasn’t great. If it wasn’t for the noise at night this place would be a 10/10, I was very impressed. But hey, if you don’t mind the noise or plan to be out at the bars till the wee hours, then this is your place.

Fabulous staff and loved the private boat trips!”
We were met at the ferry by someone expecting us and taken on a lovely little boat ride to the other side of the bay. The staff were so friendly and funny, the bungalows cosy and delicious food available especially the baked pineapple rice . It's a little trek up to the bungalows, you can hear the clubs until 2am and sometimes it was a chore having to book the boat to get back to Sunwaree from the main beach but in general it was lovely, really enjoyed the boat rides and the people. Not a problem if your agile and looking for the sweet bungalow experience with lovely forest around and sea views. It was nice to stay on the otherside of the bay for some of our time in phi phi.

Great staff, great bungalow and perfectly located ”
The staff were great. Very helpful and went the extra mile for their guests. The location was away from the party and main pier so they provided a free boat between 8am & 10pm, after then you could call for a lift. (Literally 5mins across the water) They met us at the pier and carried my bag to the boat. They could also arrange tours around the island if that's you're thing. The music was loud from the room. But that's Phi Phi. We had a comfortable stay in the bungalow which had a telly and clean facilities. Would 100% return if we were to visit phi phi again. No complaints. 👌

Paradise by day, noisy at night”
By day this was a paradise of nature and wow such an amazing uninterrupted view of the ocean. A bit of a struggle to get to but it is actually quite easy. Once arriving on the island you will need to get in touch with the boatman to take you across Hin Poo Bay in his boat, as this is the only way to get there (don't take heavy bags). The boatman is free before 9pm so quite convenient. Staff are friendly and very willing to carry your bags etc, even though English not a strong point. By night however, I have to warn you that Phi Phi is a party island for 20 somethings and especially Hin Poo Bay is where the night clubs are. At 10:00pm the music gets really loud and trust me, you won't be able to sleep at night till 2am. A bit of a pity. If you want a relaxing time (like we did) then best to stay on the bay on the other side of the island which is hopefully quieter. There is a canoe you can rent which is lovely. We rented it and kayaked out to the private Monkey Beach and snorkelled there (snorkels and masks are available from this hotel as well).

Great cabins overlooking the bay away from it all”
Wonderful. Went with my two kids (11) and (13). It was a relaxing clean place but a short boat ride from the main area of Krabi. The beach is not really suitable for swimming but kids enjoyed playing on the rocks. The boatman would take us to other parts of Phi Phi (for a fee). We did upgrade to a cabin in the front that had aircon and there was a lot of walking involved but if your looking for something nice, peaceful, and different, this is the place.

This is where I would stay if I return to Phi Phi”
The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's impossible to escape the noise of the Phi Phi nightlife but Sunwaree is about as distant from it as one can get. The bungalow was quite comfortable, though the best part of it is on the front veranda looking out at the view of the bay.

Paradise”
Sunwaree was above our expectation, an absolute paradise. We stayed 5 nights. The staff were so pleasant and very helpful, they look after you. The restaurant food was excellent. We requested a room with a sea view and they gave us the best. The Villas are traditional bamboo huts on stilts on the side of the hill overlooking Ao Loh Dalum bay. The view is so beautiful. The Villas are lovely inside, rooms were clean, aircon and fan worked well. Sunwaree provides a free water taxi to town when the tide is in or its a 15 minute walk along the beach to town when the tide is out. The Night Club music is loud from 8:30 and shuts down at exactly 2:pm every night. We got used to it by the 3rd night and it didn't bother us. We hired one of the Sunwaree kayaks and paddled to Monkey Beach where we snorkelled with our own dive equipment. Overall it was the best place we stayed at during our two week trip. We loved it and would go back to Sunwaree anytime.

Beautiful beach bungalow ”
Pros- if you want an amazing view and quick stop over to see Phi Phi has to offer this is the place for You. We stayed one night! Amazing sea views& sunset. Cute little bungalow on stilts- romantic getaway for our honeymoon travels. Lovely breakfast& the lady who runs the place works really hard. They have their own boat & canoes. Free water each day. Shower not bad - not sure what people moan about. Great value for money. Cons- not for people who cannot Do heights or steps. Not for People who want a 4*resort with amazing facilities. You do have to walk into town after 9pm& the road is about 20min walk. The lighting is not fantastic & you would benefit from phone or torch as some light bulbs had gone on the path. Phi phi is very noisy at night& goes on until 2am. This didn't bother us massively for one night but I wouldn't stay on that part of the island for long if I didn't intend to party. Full of backpackers, younger people past 12pm. Worth going to see town, shops etc& Thaiboxi

A piece of Heaven!”
After reading about the loud music drifting over from across the bay, we were a bit concerned but it actually wasn't a problem. Yes, it did thud but not enough to keep us awake and we had earplugs with us, if necessary. We just loved this place and everything about it from the moment we arrived, especially when we got bungalow 5 right at the end with its large balcony, lots of privacy, and breathtaking views over bay. We only had a 3-night stay but kayaked to Monkey Beach, hired a longtail taxi to Maya Bay, and spent an evening in Tonsai. Each time, we couldn't wait to get back to our balcony to sit and enjoy the view. We ate there most of the time except for the evening in Tonsai when we had a disappointing dinner on the beach. The Sunwaree food was so much better, all freshly cooked and very tasty and Jim & Wut (and P.A., the boatman) are so kind; nothing is too much trouble for them . We're travelling all over Thailand for just over 8 weeks and the Sunwaree was our 9th place and the one we loved most. We can't praise it enough!

Great hotel, but a bit far”
Sunwaree was a great stay. The only downside is that it is a bit far away from Phi Phi's main attractions. During the day that does not matter at all, but to go to the restaurant area at night you can take a boat (provided by the hotel) or do a 20 min walk. It is not too much, so it is okay. Besides that, the room was really good, very clean and with a balcony with a great view. Bathroom was also good.

Hidden gem! ”
we loved Sunwaree! Such a beautiful location close to all the awesomeness but far enough away to enjoy peaceful, beautiful views of lo dullum bay. As per other reviews it is noisy at night but we had no problem falling asleep since our days were filled with wonderful activities that tuckered us out. The free boat back and forth was perfect and a nice added touch. Very clean, you get your own little hut with a view of the bay. Staff was outstanding and extremely accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

Value for money stay @ beach front bungalow”
It was a great resort located at the quiet Hin Poo bay. You are able to see the great sunset from the resort. All ten traditional designed beach houses were clean and comfortable. Best for the couples who looking for romance and privacy. However, not a good choice for those are not willing to travel some distance to the main attractions on the island, as you will need to travel in and out to the Ao Lo Dalam beach by long tail boat provided free by the hotel. You may plan your time with the boatman P'X during your whole trip there, a very helpful and nice guy. Will definitely back here one day!

Great Bungalow, Best Value, Friendly Staff, Not Great for late night drinking.”
Wonderful stay at Sunwaree, We were the only people staying during that weekend and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Arrived from Krabi on the ferry, a guy was holding a sign with the resort name on it and he guided us to to a guy in a small motor boat (coolest dude around) to take us to the resort. The resort faced the beach inside the island and its a walk up the steps to the bungalows but what a view! Daytime is very peaceful, away from everybody and everything, also a private beach right in front. The boat guy is on call from 8am to 8pm for free but after you have to pay. If you want to go into town its 10 min boat ride with a great views of the island. Party People: This is not somewhere you want to go out late drinking because if you decided to not take a boat you will have to walk and its a long trek. I can not imagine doing it drunk because theres dark alleys and unpaved paths. Also, The sound from the clubs at night becomes annoying BRING EAR PLUGS!!!

Hidden little gem”
We arrived in koh phi phi and had a worker meet us at the pier. He then took us to "boatman" where we went on a boat ride across the sea. It was a pretty hefty climb to get to reception but not so bad once you make it there. The tv"s did not work at all when you wanted to kick back and relax at night. The sound carried HEAVILY across the water. Don't have anything sweet in the room. We had an absolute disgusting swarm of ants infest our stuff and room. (This was our fault) they gave us bug killer for this issue. "Wut" who runs the resort was an absolute riot. He's a great dude! Very helpful. This resort is not on the island but the "boatman" runs from 7am to 10pm to take you to and from. There is also a walking path approximately 15 minutes long. Wear walking shoes though! Very low key place to kick back for the money! Nice sea view on most bungalows.

Friendly staff great views but difficult to access”
Sunwaree had some great bungalows with amazing views of the sea at phi phi and located in the jungle. The staff were lovely and it was at a great price however it is very difficult to access if you want to get to town. They do provide a complimentary boat service but after dark you have to try and navigate yourself through jungle and a beach and makeshift path to get there. This is very difficult if you haven't got a torch. Also it is opposite the party beach so it is very loud until around 3am. The room were very nice and clean but our electrics broke when we were there. It is a great place to go if you want to go somewhere isolated with a couple but would be much better if it was easier to access.

The place to go to be to discover east cost”
We had a great stay at Sunwaree. The staff is smiling, friendly and very welcoming. The bungalows are clean and well equiped. Ideally located to discover the beaches in the vicinity (kayak, snorkeling). The only downside, even out of the center is the noise from the sound of the bars in Ton Sai Beach. The hotel restaurant is good. In addition the breakfast is included in the price. Everything is well organized as a free boat commutes between the hotel and the city center.

Ok”
Not far from the main pier but you need to take a small boat to go there which is free from 7am to 10pm. Staff is very nice and the bungalow are charming. The view is good. On the other hand it is really noisy. The music from the bar/pub is very loud. But if you are tired it won't be a problem. It is a bit expensive but it has a good ratio quality/price for phi phi. The bed are good and the bathroom is ok you may find some hecko but that's all. Go for it but i think viking may be better more quiet at least.
