Beautiful facilities and great staff”
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and grounds were beautiful. There's plenty of parking, and both dinner and breakfast were quite good. Wonderful place -- we plan to return! The view of the mountains from our private hot springs was great!

Very nice hotel with hot spring pools in the garden and private hot spring bath in the bedroom. We were there after a very long hike, and really enjoyed it.

Booked this place for a special occasion and had high expectations from lonely planet. We were very disappointed. On check in our room was filthy. Dead cockroach on the floor next to the bed and window sill was covered in dust and dead flies. Room clearly had not been cleaned for a long time. We addressed this with the staff who did not seem concerned at all. Absolutely no apology. We requested to be moved to another room which was equally dirty. Dead flies also all over window ledge and large spider web across the outdoor area and a bad smell. Facilities were also very dated. Dinner was very average. Once we cleaned the room ourselves it was a nice setting and relaxing. Private hot spring is just an outdoor bath however.

Everything is good except the toilet. The toilet door is translucent so everyone can see what the person inside is doing. There's no lock, so you cannot lock the toilet door. There's no hook for hanging our dry clothes as well. The hot spring water facilities are very good. Staff are friendly and helpful. Dinner is yummy at reasonable price. The environment is quiet and close to nature. It's a 15 minutes walk to the market area of this small town.

we got a family room with 2 double beds and the room was really spacious for 4! besides the common hot spring bath area, our room also had a small private hot spring bath for us to soak in anytime.. all essential toiletries were provided.. we bought the dinner coupons upon arrival at the reception as it seemed like there weren't any food places located nearby to the villa.. and i must say the dinner was really good with a nice view of the calm mountains! the only downside was the shower area was open concept with no door.. so we had to make sure the room curtains were drawn and that no one enters the shower area when we had to bathe!

Poor Guest Management ”
We were hoping for a quiet getaway but the place is full of smoking and rowdy Chinese. The clean fresh air was ruined by many smokers. We have to close our hotel room doors and were deprived of the mountains fresh air. We did not use the outdoor hot spring as there were too many smokers out there. The drunk rowdy chinese tourists talked and laughed loudly outside their rooms and were opposite our room till 10pm. Called the reception 2 times for help and they finally stopped at 11.30pm. A frustating and disappointing vacation.

we stood here two nights We enjoy room and bath with our 7 months baby. Pay for dinners was great, very nice dinner. Breakfast was fine, Taiwanese style. Location is nice and definitely need travel by car. Location seems good for who is going to Yushan mt. BUT the road No 21 is closed on 111th kilometer till 7am. I start very fast ascent at 8am, mostly impossible use Dong Bu location for stay before Yushan ascent. Around pension 1km: Dongpu Suspension Bridge 3km and back: Caihong Falls 5km and back: Waterfall 雲龍瀑 - very beautiful, relatively safe trip if you don`t scare heights
