"found the Casa... on the internet after our "Travel Agent" told us that there was nothing in Civitaveccia and no one stays there. We were pleased to see that they offered a dining service with a restaurant, breakfast, and shuttle to the airport. After seeing the city and the beautiful setting of the Hotel we wished we had spent several days there. It would be so much more pleasant to stay there than having the hassle of catching a bus or train from Rome the same day the ship leaves. It was all in all a delightful stay with reasonable rates even with the aggrevation of the noise above our heads from the dining room. A simple solution would be to carpet the dining area, but I know they won't want to lose the ambiance of the terracotta tiles.
