Nice hotel to stay in”
It's hard to find a hotel where you can have a reasonable breakfast and a comfortable bed, but this hotel fits the bill. It's location is very convenient, being in the heart of Ubon Ratchathani. The only downside, and this is minor, is that you need a fairly good knowledge of Thai to communicate with the staff. They don't speak English very well, however I found them friendly and helpful nevertheless.

the Regent Ubon is 2 km from airport and central to the city.Its very modern, clean and comfortable. The staff speaks English. The breakfast , even incl. Western dishes, is more dedicated to Asian or Thai business people.

cheap and good”
this hotel was super cheap! it looked like it was pretty nice back in the day. the rooms are pretty old, but they were clean. we arrived at night and left early in the morning so we didnt spend any time there. you get what you pay for, but when you pay only $10, this is a good deal.

This hotel gets good reviews. Why? I do not know. For our needs, a hotel is simple. A good hotel needs working air conditioner, working hot shower, comfortable bed, clean, and close to the airport, and for the pictures to match what we see. The air conditioner was older, but worked. I had no complaints. The shower, on the other hand, needs help. Normally, my attitude about a bathroom is this: "Does the toilet and shower work as expected? If yes, good. If no, not good". And the answer to this question, is yes, they both work. But I can't give good reviews. First, the ceiling in the bathroom is short. I'm 182cm tall, and I had no room to stretch my arms up. So, I'm guessing the ceiling is about 195cm tall. That won't be a big problem, except there's an exposed exhaust fan with blades. I did not want to discover what finger + exhaust fan blades do. And even though the fan moves, there was still mold and mildew on the tiles. The toilet is old. The height of the toilet is about half of what you expect, uncomfortable! There was no shower glass, so clothes may get wet if you aren't careful. Thankfully, the shower does get hot, really really hot! After a warm shower, it's time for bed! The bed was small for my wife and I, and lumpy too. We kept on waking up. Not good. The entire room was old. The furniture was in the old yellow oak style. The TV had a built in VCR player (remember those?!) There was no Wifi. The carpet was the old tile blue carpeting, perfect for an old office building, not perfect for a hotel room. There was no hot-pot, and not a lot of wall outlets either. The hotel has a restaurant, massage/spa, and karaoke. Karaoke is interesting, the hotel advertises it in the lobby and elevator, and if I read my Thai correctly, you can hire people to be with you... The airport is close, as well as Robinson. Being close to the airport isn't a bad thing. Ubon is called an international airport, but the first flight leaves at 6:00AM and the last flight lea

I quite like the hotel with the convenient location. The hotel building is too old and well as the elevators, the walking area from the elevator to the room is quite scary die to old and not clean enough, but who cares huh. Because in the room with new decoration and new furnitures which are clean and very neat.

fair price but air traffic noise”
large room, remodelled nice bathroom but water drain of the washbasin very slow, only 1 English speaking tv channel (Universal) and picture quality rather low, the civil airport and the military airbase are next thus from time to time mainly in the morning and some times in early afternoon and evening you face an enormous acoustic emission but much less on weekend (but where to avoid in this city as the airport is "in its midden"), western breakfast buffet (except on Monday à la carte which means less choice)with limited performance, hotel is booked by Thais and on weekend also by groups (for this reason the 2 floor lobby is large and sober, online booking easy and correct, announced airport shuttle does not work, early check in and late check out possible.

Very pleasant stay”
A little difficult to find as the hotel sign is on the Soi, Traveling North after passing over the river, Soi 1 is the first street on the left had side going out of town. After the Italian Pizza House. Hotel has been refurbished with new frontage and reception which gives it an impressive feel. The rooms are also new design and clean with a comfortable bed. TV had many channels in English including news. Breakfast selection was also good. A very good pizza house only 100 metres down the road. Also found an expat bar called the Wrong Way Cafe on Phadang Road which is within walking distance of around 1 km.

Good Pleasant Stay”
The hotel seems like an old hotel which did a major renovation in recent years. However, it seems like they run out of budget to finish the renovation. It feels like they spent most of the budget are spent renovating the toilet in the rooms. The rooms feels like its unfinished in renovation. Looks run down in some part. Overall, the rooms are clean, the staffs are friendly and helpful, breakfast is good. The central air condition system is acceptably cold but a little loud, hot water is working well, Location of the hotel is a big plus as it is not far from the main road. Its also near to the night market.

Good room and close to airport”
Pleasnatly surprised at the style and size of the room and view. Great value with good internet, but I do not get get the reviewers who talk about central location and close to Tesco. There are no evening restaurants to speak of in the area and nothing of interest, and the hotel has ordinary food service. The hotel has massage and karaoke (with some sort of go-go bar nearby.

Great location but non-good utilities”
actually this hotel could be considered that it's not bad regarding the location (nearby shopping mall, close to the main road and not far from the international report) except one thing that i would like to comment is that the hotel is quite difficult to find when you drive pass the main road - i'm always lost. about the overview, it's not bad about the service, the peoples are friendly and they seems open and welcome the guests. facilities, they should be improved on the car park capacity. sometimes during the peak booking of room and restaurant, it seems they got the problem about the capacity that's not enough, i have to park outside the hotel during my stay as well. utilities, i really didn't like the water system of them, the water flow was very low and make me trouble sometimes when i took a shower.

Good value, good standards ”
I enjoyed my stay there. The hotel certainly rates three stars. The staff and service were excellent. Only one negative comment. The carpets, at least on the sixth floor corridor, were really not up to the standards of the rest of the hotel. I expect they are in the process of replacing them.

Stayed 2 nights here .Room was big ;older room but renovations in progress .Bed was comfortable and breakfast included but not designed for Western tastes .There is an attached Karaoke room and Thai massage place which was really good and reasonably priced

Travel to Ubol, The Regent Ubol is a good choice”
Very spacious lobby, friendly reception, attentive bell-person, close to government hospital, located on main road. However, there is one draw back, Sign post of Hotel is large, but not very prominent, difficult to find at first glance.

I arrived late to this hotel, however staff were really helpful and arranged food for me as well as early morning taxis etc. The location is great, very close to the airport, and bed was comfy.

An older style hotel only with largish room ”
The hotel is only a few ks from the airport .It is an older hotel with foyer renovated .During my stay they were renovating upper rooms so noisy during the day. Room was adequate and position ok .Breakfast definitely not catering to Western tastes with not a knife in sight ..The staff had limited English which may be a problem for some .

This hotel was not that new but it was recently renovated. In general, the service was fine, the elevator looks a bit old, but the newly renovated room looked nice. It was comfortable. I chose this hotel because it was close to most attractions in Ubonratchathani.
