Excellent Value ”
Very reasonably priced with excellent rooms, all clean, tidy & well looked after. Very close to the Big C shopping centre which has the majority of things (food of all sorts, clothes, cosmetics, children’s play area etc) . It is out of the centre of Roi Et but tuk tuk or taxi would have you there in a few minutes at a very reasonable price even if you don’t have your own transport available.

Clean and large room , but at night , a little bit noisy from the room on the upper floor .. maybe because the wall is too thin Bathroom is good , clean , but no hair dryer Staff was so helpful especially door man .. always had warm welcome smile :) good breakfast buffet , not so many things but all yummy

Outside of city...no help whatsoever from night reception. In Roi Et taxi stop at 6pm... Not true but that's according to night reception...Not a word of English. . Day staff much more helpful.

Modern Hotel ”
The Rice Hotel is a new hotel on one of the main routes out of the city. It is near a Big C supermarket and a few bars and restaurants. The hotel was immaculately clean and the staff friendly. Rio Et is a very quiet place and even taxis are not that easy to come by and therefore the location of the hotel does require you to get transport to most of the locations you need to visit. Breakfast is very basic, but for the price that is to be expected. All in all it was very good value for money and immaculately clean.

Very simple and sufficient for short stay. No pool or gym but modern and clean enough, staff dont speak much English. Air conditioning was great, would stay again if we are in Roi-et again

Good value for money”
The room was a good size for 2 people. It was clean and everything was in good condition. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The walls appear to be fairly thin so noise from other rooms and the corridor was noticeable at times. Breakfast is fairly basic (both Western and Thai), but the hotel is within walking distance of Big C (about 10 minutes) so getting additional food is not an issue. It would be nice if some reading lamps could be installed. Overall, a nice, clean modern hotel at a very reasonable price. I would stay there again.

Great new hotel in town”
I think this has been open about 18 months. This was my second stay. The hotel is located on the main road into town and approx 500 metres from Big C shopping centre. Rooms are not huge but adequate for what you need. Breakfast is pretty ordinary for westerners and there is no safe fitted in the room. This is probably one of the best hotels in town and very reasonably priced. Worth a look if in town

Description of rooms”
Three room choices; Single bed for 2. Two single beds, or suite. The suite is basically a Single with a 2nd room for living space. Only one bathroom, same size as the standard rooms, and the same balcony. There are only 3 suites in the hotel, with the one on the 4th floor quite noisy from the elevator motor. The Single and Double rooms are same in size, just different bed(s) and decor. All have the same small bathroom and balcony. We find having 2 rooms (a double and a single) next to each other, to be nicer and cheaper than the Suite.

Location away from town”
Located outside the city-center, but close to Big-C (5min walk) and active night life. Too far to walk into town, but only a short tuk-tuk ride away. Be patient with the staff, their english is not so good, but they are very helpful.

New hotel”
There is a nice restaurant across the road however other than that there is not a lot around it. The Big C down the road (500m) has some restaurants. There is no restaurant or pool at the hotel.

Handy overnighter”
Flew in on the evening flight and needed a good shower and a comfortable bed. This hotel was just what was needed. Walked up to Big C to stretch the legs and grab a quick bite. Handy. Out the next morning and off to see the family. Didn't get a chance to try breakfast. Only issues being lack of safety deposit box in the room and unable to call driver for pick up from the phone in the room (had to ask reception to call for us) Otherwise happy with the quality and cleanliness of the room, bed and shower.
