One of the worst hotels i ever stayed in!!! hadn't any other option since there are no others hotel close to the university. 1.the hotel is full with mosquitoes everywhere!!! And i mean everywhere!!! 2.bed sheets were all full of holes. 3.one time at the breakfast the didnt had bread!!! So i had to go buy from 7/11. What a joke. 4.public toilet are disgusting i wish i can upload the pictures. 5.mostly students that dont speak English at the reception. 6.the room is old 7.very expensive hotel for no reason

Best hotel in Ubon (Warin Chamrap) south of river”

We had a good stay at U Place, located near the main entrance to Ubon Ratchathani University. The hotel had few guests on the Sunday night we stayed there and so it was very quiet. We had a nice chat with the hotel manager, who speaks very good English and was helpful to us. WiFi worked well in our room. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good. There are several inexpensive Thai restaurants and street food vendors across the road from the University, an easy walk from the hotel. However, this hotel is at least 10 kilometers south of the center of the city.

A good place to stay if near UBU”

Nice place to stay if you need to be near UBU. The building is a little outdated but well maintained. The staff, while not always speaking the best English, are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is included in most packages, and while not anything to write home about, serves its purpose of filling your belly before you start the day, either with a Western or Eastern style menu. If you stay several days, you will become quickly bored with it though. There is a 7-11 within walking distance, as well as several street vendors. The room has all the basic necessities, although TV is all Thai channels (i.e. no CNN), so I use my laptop to connect to the US. The Wifi is free, although not always very reliable. Eventually it will get you what you are looking of, but you may have to wait to get a connection sometimes. Nothing great to say about the place but also nothing overly bad to say either. For less than $20 per night, I can't complain.

A good option for UBU”

Very good hotel. The staff made the experience. The internet was out, but that was ok. breakfast was good, but they needed to replace things that ran out more often. Minor plumbing problem with the toilet, the staff addressed it quickly!

Best hotel in the area ”

Great staff, very good restaurant. Clean , big room. They only really speak Thai language, so be careful of that.

Sehr einfaches Hotel und sehr weit weg vom Zentrum. Die Angestellten sind unfreundlich und bequem. ”

Es liegt direkt an der Staatsstraße 24 und gehört zur Universität Ubon Ratchathani. Die Angestellten bekommen ihren Mund nicht auf und sind völlig überfordert. Man merkt ihnen in allen Bereichen an, dass ihnen das Handwerkszeug fehlt. Wenn man seine Tätigkeit nicht vorgelebt bekommen hat bzw. es nicht gelernt hat, dann darf man den Angestellten auch nicht böse sein. Wäre das Hotel nicht günstig zu unserem Zielort gelegen gewesen, dann hätten wir mit Sicherheit uns etwas anderes gesucht. Das Frühstück ist sehr sehr einfach gehalten. Die Zimmer und die Ausstattung ist mittlerweile abgewohnt und in die Jahre gekommen. Wir sind seid 10 Jahren hier mindestens 1-2 mal pro Jahr 1-3 Wochen abgestiegen. Definitiv war es diesesmal auch das letzte mal. Schade um die gesamte "Hotelanlage". Es scheint sich auch niemand so richtig dafür zu interessieren, dass man grundlegend mal was verändern müsste. Schade darum.
