Excellent”
aside from the terrible internet... yes, there was a signal in the room (4th floor) but not strong enough to even OPEN gmail let aloe don anything and aside form the fact that breakfast was whitebread toast with margarine and nescafe the place was great! and I am NOT being sarcastic... aside form those two things the place IS GREAT

Good location for finding food and nearby the local market but it’s a deteriorated hotel no any renovation at all. The cleanliness must be improved. However the price is very cheap as well

Terrible hotel”
First time I've ever given a negative review. The AC did not work in the room they assigned me. I went downstairs to tell the girls at the desk. They told me there is a switch at the head of the bed. I returned and switched the switch. But the very old radiator never gave any cool air. In fact, it gave no air. Thd room was stuffy, old, very bad. I went back downstairs and this time the girls sent me to a room on the 7th floor. I had requested a large bed. Instead, this room had 2 small beds. The elevator door got stuck when I headed to the 7th floor and I slightly injured my hand trying to open it. The elevator then left without me. No hot water for coffee in the hotel. No refrigerator. The first BAD hotel I have encountered in Thailand. Don't go there! No service , no sense of responsibility toward guests.

Historic ”
This was the first hotel in Ubon and it shows. A little worse for wear, but it still has the1960's vibe. The rates are great, the breakfast is fine, an the location is the best! Thung Si Muang Park is across the street and the evening market has a great selection of authentic Thai street food. We visit Ubon every month and found that there are many hotels, but this one is the best value for the price.

Inexpensive, good location with a Thai breakfast”
According to the locals, this was the first hotel built in Ubon, so don't expect the facilities to look brand new. It has an old-time 1960's feel about it and the staff are helpful. We travel to Ubon every month and decided to try this hotel and are quite happy with it.

Good for the price, friendly staff.”
I would definitely use the Ubon hotel again. It is quite central to the town, and the staff were very helpful with organising transport for us to the national park, even if their English was slightly limited. The rooms were clean, although old fashioned, and could do with either a lick of paint or some new wallpaper. The showers were cold in the morning, but lovely and hot in the evening. Also, the lights in my room were broken, with only one working, which made things a little dim at night. The taxi men always knew where the hotel was, so there was no problem getting transport, and there are some lovely things to see around the hotel, such as a museum and a park with some amazing sculptures. It gets an 8/10 for me, only losing for the showers and the light.

There are several room types and the Agoda deal room type is bad.”
This is the second time that we used Agoda to book a room a the Ubon hotel and both times received the same room. They seem to not care for the Agoda system because the room is substandard. The toilet leaks, no hot water in the shower, and you only get rice porridge and coffee with breakfast. If you have an upgraded room, you may order eggs and sausages from the kitchen. of course, this wasn't made known either at booking online, or upon check in. There are too many hotels of better quality in Ubon for this one to be performing so poorly. It's only accolades are that, historically, it is the 1st modern hotel in Ubon and it is situated next to Thung Si Muang Park.

Good value, very good location, facility a little tired”
The location was the best part - a small night market (just food) was across the street, a couple modern restaurants were on the corner, a couple very pleasant temples nearby (one across from the hotel, one block over and one by the river - just walk to the river then left). Not touristy - I only saw 2 other Westerners in the 3 days I was there, although it was off-season. The staff were pretty helpful - the lady who made breakfast particularly nice once you got to know her. Now, the hotel is pretty worn and frayed. So, don't expect much there. The room was OK though, with a nice (7th floor) view of the temple across the street.

Older hotel wth large rooms!”
The rooms in this hotel are large & comfortable but in need of remodeling! I did enjoy the hot water at the sink basin for shaving which is hard to find in Thailand. The room had good A/C, TV & Refrigerator as well as free Wi-Fi which worked well! I also appreciated the fact that they have an on-site restaurant/kareoke bar located on the 9th floor that serves food late in the evening for those late arrivals! The hotel also provided complimentary breakfast at a nearby restaurant which was adequate! My only negatives is that the rooms are in need of upgrading along with safe boxes & hand towels!

Nothing spectacular but what does one get for the price? Room lighting was not good. Many globes out. Close to Airport. They phoned for a taxi to take me to Air Port which was handy.

Will not stay at the hotel for half the price”
This hotel needs to be flattened and rebuilt. Yeah, its next to the night food market but that's about it. Well you have to eat at the market if you do not mind eating food out in the open because there are no restaurants in the hotel. The only place I could eat in the hotel is at their "Top View" where locals come to drink and do karaoke on stage. You have to eat in the dark and its expensive. For the 2 nights I spent there, there were no buffet breakfast because there were too few tenants. So they have eggs, toast, sausages and coffee served by just one guy manning the whole place.Breakfast was miserable. You have to hunt the guy down if you want another cuppa. The first night there was heavy rain and I did not have an umbrella in the lobby. Very lucky for me, there was a power failure just before I was approaching the lift.A loud noise and I realised that one of the doors in the lobby slammed and glass shattered all over the place. I am not exaggerating, I have all the photos to prove. But one good thing - the room I got was okay. The showers and aircon worked okay though it was quite tricky to get the taps in the bathtub working for water to shoot out water from the shower. If you close your door, the sound can wake up a dead dog on the two floors above and two floors below. My lesson - if you are not sure, or staying at a hotel for the first time, book for just one day first.Extend later if you are satisfied. I am now staying at the Hotel, five minutes walk away and I have no complaints. Its even cheaper here.

Location good, facilities have seen better days”
Located next to Thung Si Muang Park, the evening street food is great. The hotel is old and in need of repairs. The cost, availability, and location is good for us when we are too tired ro deive home after visiting family and friends.
