great vacation but very far from Vuntau city”
we spent 1 night here for the weekend. we booked the president suit. it's very large but quite underutilised for a family of 5 like us. no microwave provided and the kitchen has no wash basin, maybe still under renovation. the pool is big. but there is no sand beach for my kids to play. the sea wave was very strong. breakfast was limited as we only eat vegetarian food as others are not suitable for Muslims. I also spent an hour at the spa for a very relaxing foot massage while my kids play at the playoom just next to the spa room. at night there is a local seafood restaurant near ho tram beach but the do not have english in the menu, we had to get help from our driver to tanslate the menu for us. it is 50 min drive from vungtau city and obviously too far from our favourite Gan Hao seafood restaurant. Next time we wont go for this hotel anymore as we prefer staying near vungtau city.

Had the place all to ourselves!”
Nice stay, if a bit weird. We were the only Westerners there--only locals other than us, and very few of them at that. More than once, "The Shining" came to mind. However, the hotel proved to be comfortable and well-run, even though they only made up the room once. Although the hotel claimed to be "full", we probably saw only 40 other guests, total, in 4 days, 4 nights. Breakfast is good. This is an isolated spot, so bring any extras you need--snacks, drinks, sunblock, etc., as you will have to take a long cab ride to get said items. Also: There is an ATM in The Grand Hotel, a posh golf/casino/luxury resort, about 10 minutes to the north. Also: Ho Tram Beach Resort has a very nice ambiance, if mediocre food, for dinner. Only 3k to the north of here. Worth the walk or cab ride.

Amazing new very nice hotel”
Very good option, a bit far a way from Vung Tau port (means you'd better go for 2 nights at least), but very new hotel, amazing room, swimming pool, nice beach, very attentive staff.

Nice stay”
Though we are not welcomed by Hotel manager as other 4 or 5 star, their reception was quite friendly and they offer us with a welcome drink while waiting for checking in. Resort is quite large with 4 swimming pools for adult and children. However, it is quite not so hygienic since they not daily clean the pool's floor that make it quite slippery when we step on. Breakfast is quite good for Asia guests since more Asia guest's stay here. There is a big trouble here that resort organize party out door and they turn on the speaker at maximum volume from 3:00pm to 10:00pmthat make us feel quite disturbed since we travel with small children and they were hard to sleep well with such a loud speaker. We however receive no information or notice from resort manager about this issue and certainly no apology from them. We suffered from the noise both nights stay in the resort. Resort manager should know that they don't have only MICE guests but also other customer and they should respect for customer's holiday.

Beautiful hotel ”
Reasonable priced hotel along Ho tram. Room is big with bathroom having a good view of the ocean. Breezy and windy. Will stay again next visit.

Nice room, but really far away from HCM”
It's an amazing new hotel, but located really far from the Vung Tao port. So total time from HCM to hotel is about 3 hours. But rooms are very nice, huge, very new and clean. Beach is good and clean, poll is lovely. Also as they are new, they didn't have SPA or beauty service. Definitely recommend, but not for short stay as the trip will take lot's of time.

Excellent hotel but somewhat dull”
The hotel is perfect if you want a quiet holiday and not really bothered about the food quality. The rooms are excellent. decent sized. the Staff attend to our needs very promptly. Though language was an issue - not many speak English. Though the hotel has several restaurants, only one was open. That too with a very limited food option. There is nothing happening in the hotel, despite having all the facilities. Seems like a well designed resort going wasted. I wanted to have spa - there were none. The location is somewhere far from any town / eatery / shopping. We ended up driving 40KM to Vung Tao to have dinner and lunch!!

Relaxing time away from work”
For a 4 star hotel resort I can't complain. Price of the rooms were very reasonable. The bell boy was very kind helping with the luggage and getting the car when checking out. The only thing I did not like was the foul stench in both the elevators. And there is only one restaurant in the whole resort.. Other than that beach front resort with nice swimming pools.

Good View and Pool - That is all ”
My previous night's stay was at The Grand Ho Tram and since they were booked out for the following night, I decided to take a chance on Vietsovpetro despite the bad reviews. Boy was that a REGRET! Even upon calling them to check if there was a free shuttle service(which Agoda states), the girl who answered understood nothing and was very rude and hung up! Definitely NOT how you answer customer calls! Booked an ocean view and the view is actually beautiful, room size was spacious, but room and hotel itself needs some serious maintenance and LIGHTING, feels creepy walking through the place with such dim and depressing light and decor. Decided to play tennis as the information book mentioned(free 1hour) but no mention of hiring of racket and ball fees. Approached the guy at reception(the only one at the time with adequate English) to assist me on this and I confirmed with him if 'Everything is free?" "Yes, you're a guest so it's free" Arrived at the tennis court and another guy brings rackets and a set of balls and gives the hiring rate of 2 rackets(300,000VND) and 6 balls(150,000VND) Are you serious? Just for 1 hour and they can't provide free racket and balls? The staff's misinformation or lack thereof wasted both our times and was so disappointing! It's such a big resort but has a sad feel to it, most leisure rooms or restaurants are either closed or just for show. The pool options are wonderful, you can really have your own space and relax. Upon checking out the next day, I asked reception again if there were any shuttle service to Vung Tau or anywhere out! But they only offered a taxi option. They quoted several different estimates from 500k-600-800? Lack of information and lack of care for customers! So unprofessional! 4-star hotel with no shuttle service especially being so far out from the city and inexperienced customer service staff with little to no English skills... Dim future for this resort...Won't recommend to anyone.

Nice weekend in a lovely resort ”
the stay was very nice. The place is a bit hard to get to as it is a long way from Vung Tau The place looks fairly new so the staff are not fully trained to 5 star standard. Not a bit issue but that will need to improve over time.

We had a wonderful time and will return”
The resort was great only one funny thing. I used a pair of thongs supplied by the resort to wear to the pool went swimming and when I got out the thongs were missing. On leaving they charged me $7.50 for the thongs. We had a laugh.

Good resort, but management could make it better”
We had a good time in this resort. The suite is spacious with a generous balcony. Loved the balcony looking over huge pools and the beach. However, I think it is still in soft opening phase so rooms were not that ready. The small WC was smelly and looked incomplete. The wood panel seemed rotten already. The restaurant menu is limited and the quality is average.

terrible name, great hotel”
we arrived on friday noon and stayed 1 night. The hotel itself is great, a lot of space, the bedroom is so large (75m2) with ocean view and large balcony. Overall decoration is elegant and in good condition. Checkin was super fast and we were at the swimming pool within minutes. The things i regret: no service at the swimming pool, impossible to order food, and even impossible to get towels and mattress. And on Saturday they were preparing a party for a company group, making sound check so we had very loud music after 10am, so it was not relaxing. I'd recommend to go there on weekdays if you prefer to be quiet.

Quiet resort with beautiful beach and pool”
This resort is quieter than most others and will be enjoyable for couples or families that wish to avoid the larger crowds going to The Grand. There is only one restaurant and service may be slow so an option is to drive out to explore food in other places. The beach is visibly dirtier & more polluted this time and this is probably not the resort's fault but a problem that needs to be tackled together by the government, all resorts and the travelers to preserved the beauty of the beaches. Overall, still a good value for money for couple & families desiring a quiet holiday.

Resort design is great but service is poor”
Positives: The pool area is the highlight of this resort (as you can see in the pictures). The beach is nice and clean (though the water is more brown than blue due to silt, as it is right along this part of the coast). The rooms are very comfortable. Negatives: The resort is very under-staffed. Minimal assistance or service available. Pool water is clean - well filtered and chlorinated - but wasn't vacuumed properly on any of the 3 days we stayed. Always sand and dirt on the bottom... not too bad but very slack on behalf of the resort not to vacuum it properly every 24 hours. An excellent variety of food available for breakfast but arriving after 8am any available tables were covered with dirty plates etc. (i.e. not enough staff to clear tables) and drink containers were empty more often than not. Again, just very slack due to a shortage of staff. Point of interest: The resort is already showing signs of falling apart just one year after opening.

Clean, Tidy, but less Professional”
The stay was impressed by the resort's facilities. It has nice beach, cool swimming pools. Rooms are large and nice. The design was upon our expectation and we'd keep its name in mind the next vacation.

Complain about breakfast”
Breakfast is very poor and terrible. Itis not good for 4 star resort. Moreover, service is very bad because there was only one staff to do service to customer in breakfast. Furthermore, the bowl of noodle soup is broken on the surface, it is very dangerous for customers. Never come back again.

Nice beach”
The only thing I like about this place is its beach. Staff were nice too, however I won't choose to stay here again if I want to stay for a few days... their food menu was very poor as I can remember.

Not bad for your bucks!”
It was not bad for the money. However, it would only true if there were not many people staying at this hotel. The reasons were: (1) the staffs at the restaurants could not service and refill the food quickly enough. So you had to wait a long time for a few dishes; (2) the sound proof of the room is almost zero. You can hear clearly what people talk or do in the hall each time they are around your room. This is very uncomfortable as people staying in this hotel were very inconsiderate. They were still talking and running and screaming even if it was at midnight. And the result was that you could not sleep and your young children woke up; (3) the pool looked nice but dirty as it seemed that not much cleaning was done.
